I stayed here for one night during my car trip around the area. I think that the price was really good and the hotel was not bad at all. It is situated very well in the city centre. The only bad thing was the toilets; it is impossible to take a shower without flooding the whle toilet full of water. The staff was pleasant and the hotel had some good features but they could not overcome the large amount of dust behind the door and the smell of sewage in the bathroom.

Walking distance to everything. Pleasant people, tiny but compact room with CNN on TV.

We were stopping over in Porto for 1 night and decided to try a B&B as basically we just needed a place to lay our heads. The actual place was nice, the room was small but all we needed and modern enough. The staff were very polite. BUT the place is over a bar and even though our room had two doors on the outside of the building and one of them being […] double glazed we could get no sleep at all due to the loud music that went on until 5am. We complained twice and asked to be moved to another room, but they were booked up. The staff did go and talk to the owners of the bar and they turned the music off but the street was full of drunks making so much noise we gave up. We left there at 5.30am and got the first bus out of Porto and slept on the bus. We have been to Porto many times and normally it is a quiet city, but this was a Thursday night and we basically wasted our money. Even though the staff and place was nice i could not reccomend this place to anyone who needs a good nights sleep. Maybe if you was on the back of the building you may be ok. Such a shame. Good hotel for French standards, the washroom is surprisingly big, again for the french standards

Small rooms, but OK. relatively clean room. Nice staff. Breakfast OK, but in a very small dining-room.

This pension or hotel represents super value, it's clean and centrally situated. The staff spoke perfect English and were very helpful. The hotel is situated above a night club, on the nights the club is open, it's open until 6am. Our room was quad glazed so noise polution was minimum. There was however a vibration through the fabric of the building […] which may disturb light sleepers, happily not a problem for us. If you are a deep sound sleeper, the hotel is recomended! Rooms basic but clean, well situated hotel. Breakfast was a small but nice (continental), The en suite shower room was nice and hot. At night was noisy from street below, however as Porto is such a night time place we came back late and managed to sleep ok. A nice hotel in a very good location near the centre. In our fist room at the back there was a problem with a smell from the drains. The hotel staff were very helpfull and we changed rooms, but the only remaining room was at the front. The free carpark was a slight problem due to the one way system, but once you got the hang of things, fine. We were on a motorcycle and felt it was really secure as we parked in full view of the security guard station. Hotel staff was really helpful. Location really good. great location-I had my bag snatched on street outside B+B-not their fault.we had a lovely stay in Porto-cheap taxi fares,good value food near Pensao CristaL,brill weather,great Metro to beaches,to fab city of Guarames etc and the People-so kind( including Police(.I hope to return to Porto of the beautiful bridges

Pensao Cristal's location was great! Near the old town and near all the sights. The Staff was extremely helpful and nice. The rooms are simple. Breakfast wasn't much. 2 small breads + croissant, orange juice and coffee. I would recommend this hotel for young people who doesn't really care for luxury and only need a clean and a nice spot to spend the […] night. We were a bit concerned about the bars that we read from other comments are right down the rooms. But that wasn't necessary at all. at nighttime, the neighboring cafes have a live DJ and there are quite a few people that gather and drink so if you're looking for a nightlife, you don't have to go far. the hotel room though wasn't as cute as you would expect with "bed & breakfast" but its more like a budget hotel/hostel. its also conveniently located in the city center so you can […] pretty much walk anywhere. all in all, not bad for the price you pay but just don't expect glitz & glamour. There was no significant noise although others have reported this - and the lively neighbourhood had an excellent choice of restaurants. This is located close to a Sao Bento rail station but taxis are reasonably priced if you have to go to Porto Campana Rail station. The concierge who welcomed us was very helpful and speaks Spanish as a native although she is Portuguese. She helped us with directions and, very conveniently, sold us the tickets for the city tour. Generally hotel service was very good the staff were very good and friendly But the shower cubicle was too narrow and very incovenient to have a good wash Also need a tea service(kettle and teabags in room)

Location and quality of hotel is very good. Hotel has elevator. Difficult parking to unload luggage. Rooms have AC, but tiny. Bathroom even tinier.

Jeg bodde på dette hotellet i seks netter, og tror jeg kommer til å sjekke om det finnes ledige rom til meg neste gang jeg kommer til Porto også. Plasseringen i byen kunne ikke vært bedre for en turist, med kort vei å gå til det aller meste. Yellow Bus har stoppested like ved, og Historical Route er perfekt for å bevege seg rundt om i byen. Frokosten […] var noe i minste laget for en stor nordisk mann, men så ble lunsjen ute enda bedre. Man ble servert rundstykker, juice og kaffe/te + frukt. Det er mange muligheter for å spise både lunsj og middag på restauranter rundt hotellet. Renhold og service var perfekt for meg. Trådløst nett fungerte stabilt og fint på både mobil og pc hele tiden mens jeg var der. Som en del andre forteller, så er det en del utesteder like ved. Minst en av disse har åpent til klokken seks om morgenen, så ørepropper er et "must" for å få en god natts søvn. Dette er jo negativt for hotellet, men ikke noe som de har noe med. Prisen jeg betalte for å bo der må man ta med i betraktningen når man bedømmer oppholdet, og jeg anbefaler hotellet virkelig. Husk for all del ørepropper, og jeg tror de fleste vil ha en flott opphold på hotellet. L'hôtel est d'un très bon rapport qualité-prix. Il est proche de tout ce qu'il y a à voir dans le centre historique de Porto. Idéalement situé à moins de 10 min à pied des caves, des parcs et jardins, du marché couvert, des musées, des quais du Douro, cela permet d'optimiser le séjour! je recommande vivement cet hôtel avec un personnel des plus charmant […] et parlant très bien plusieurs langues (francais anglais espagnol). L'hotel si trova proprio nella strada in cui sn concentrati la maggior parte dei locali.. unica avvertenza : In Portogallo si esce tardissimo, prima di 0:30 - 1:00 non c'è nessuno!!!!

Ursprünglich gebuchtes Zimmer sehr eng - aber für geringen Aufpreis war ein Upgrade zu einem grösseren und schöneren Zimmer möglich. Personal war sehr freundlich.

Hotel très bien situé, proche du centre. Le restaurant au bas de l'Hôtel vaut le détour pour sa déco et son ambiance old style un peu undreground. Quelques bars dans la rue mais dans atmosphère bon enfant. Quartier charmant. Chambre un peu petite mais avec un balcon et vue sur les toits, romantique. Hotelli sijaitsi alueella, joka on erittäin meluisa. Korttelissa sijaitsi muutama ravintola ja baari, joiden edustalla olis asetettu terassit. Asiakkaat pitivät meteliä aamu 6:een saakka. Tämän jälkeen kadulle saapui lakaisukoneita, keräämään tyhjät pullot ym. jätteet. Riippumatta viikonpäivästä. voyageant seule, j'ai forcément eu une chambre aux dimensions modestes et au confort spartiate, ceci dit pour ce qui n'en demandent pas trop cela peut aller. Donc pour les voyageurs de passage ;)

Bien pour le prix, mais la chambre etait un peux petit, et n'y avait pas de chaises

Hôtel situé juste au nord de la vieille ville de Porto. Personnel parlant notamment le français et très disponible. La chambre est minuscule, il y a juste la place pour le lit et si on veut atteindre la fenêtre, c'est en passant par-dessus celui-ci. De même pour la salle de bains où il ne fait bon avoir une carrure imposante. Cependant chambre propre […] et lit confortable et surtout hôtel situé à 3 minutes de la station de bus si vous devez vous rendre à l'aéroport (départ des bus 601 et 602, compter env. 40-45 min). Small nice cheap clean hotel I think mostly for young people who doesnt really care for luxury. Staff was friendly and nice, great location in Porto. Sometimes was noisy because of a lot of night clubs around, but not to much)

Helt greit for en natt eller to. Urolig bra beliggenhet. Rommene er små og ikke verdens reneste men helt greit for en natt eller to. Dette er et ideelt sted for de mellom 18 og 30 som liker høy musikk og litt festing, for i 1 etg er det nattklubber som holder et rimelig høyt støynivå i helgen.

Personalen var trevlig och tillmötesgående. Frukosten var väl tilltagen för att vara Continental - juice och tre bred. Portos fräckaste restaurang (dessutom billig) i en riktigt gammal affarslokal låg precis bredvid. Det var gångavstånd till floden och nära till både metro och bussar. Pension ligt in een straat die s'avonds erg tot leven komt. Dit brengt ook wat 'geluidsoverlast' met zich mee, maar op de eerste nacht na (donderdag) hebben wij heerlijk kunnen slapen, terwijl wij op de 2de verdieping aan de straatkant zaten. Ontbijt is Zui-Europees (croissant, 2 broodjes & een potje koffie), maar erg smaakvol. Ze leveren het zelfs […] kosteloos op ke kamer. Receptiemedewerkers zijn erg vriendelijk en hulpzaam. excellent rapport qualité prix. Arrêt du bus 601 à côté de l'hôtel c'est celui que nous avons emprunté pour notre transfert aéroport aller et retour 1,50€ par pers l'aller. Hôtel très correct, réceptionniste charmant qui parle le français. Petit déjeuner très bien, dommage car toujours le même tous les matins mais ce n'est pas grave on n'était pas là […] pour çà. Alors, on a pris cet hotel en ayant lu les commentaires et on s'est dit "On est jeune, on aime faire la fete, c'est pas parceque les gens font la fete jusqu'à minuit que ca va nous déranger"... mais en fait il faut savoir qu'ils font la fete jusqu'à 6h du matin et que ce n'est pas du double vitrage... Et ce n'est pas non plus le petit bar du coin, il […] faut s'imaginer 500 jeunes dans une petite rue de 7m de large. Je n'avais pas vu ça depuis la fete de la musique dans le marais à Paris pour ceux qui connaissent... Donc en gros, a part vouloir faire la fete avec eux... Et bed & breakfast som vi gerne vil anbefale blot skal man være forberedt på at bruge hørepropper hvis man ikke sover tungt da der i stueetagen er en restaurant med ekstrem høj musik det meste af natten og væggene er meget lydt. Men beliggenheden er perfekt med hensyn til afstand til alt hvad der skal ses i Porto
