Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites Latham - Latham

We had no hot water for shower in AM on Sat, April 14, 2012. I told the desk girl, but she really did not offer any positive feedback.

Very NIce. Great place to relax and rest after the journey there.

Very nice hotel!!! Pool and spa we're great! Nice room! very clean and great breakfast!!

We have stayed at this hotel many times as we drop off and pick up our Siena College student. It is literally down the street from the college. The staff are always so helpful and friendly, and the room is always clean and comfortable. We will continue staying there and recommend it to other parents of Siena College students.

The staff was friendly and helpful, the pool was a nice temperature and clean, the location was good too, but the drain in our tub did not work, we had to fiddle with the wire in the back of the TV for it to work, and the pillows were lumpy like they were filled with sawdust. Also, the bed felt like it had a plastic bag over it.

Convenient to Our Lady of Hope Nursing facility and always has been accommodating.

I enjoyed staying here, particularly as I was upgraded for free to an executive suite. The room was clean, the staff were friendly and polite, and the breakfast was great. Great value for money. It's hard to write an accurate review with these required questions. Of course the room was neat, comfortable, and in good repair. We arrived around 10, left before 8, rarely had opportunity to talk to staff, so I can't review service. Powdered eggs and fakon, or pancakes from a machine, or stale cereal was offered for breakfast, and don't get me started […] on the coffee because it didn't. This hotel was very convenient to the Thruway & the place I was visiting. We enjoyed the large indoor pool.

Nice hotel, very clean. My only reservation is the breakfast. Please use real eggs, rather than some powdery watered substitute.

We were attending an event a couple of towns away, and needed a place to stay just overnight. With the racing season in full swing, and the hospitality region north of here requiring 2 night stays, we had to search hard for a decent place to stay. Unfortunately, we arrived after midnight and were exhausted. Our room was supposed to have a king-sized bed and it had two doubles (and was a handicap accessible room). The beds were clean and the bathroom had fresh linens; however the garbage in the main area hadn't been emptied. My family of 4 stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. The room was very spacious. The bathroom was especially large as well as the living room area. The hotel also had an on-site restaurant which was very convenient. The personnel was friendly and the continental breakfast was outstanding with the server constantly making sure the food trays were full at all […] times. I visit my friend out there a couple times during the year and will not hesitate to stay there again. We last stayed at the Hampton inn and suites prior to the Holiday Inn and it was $100 more per night, the hotels are comparable but not nearly enough to justify the extra 100 bucks. Great hotel.

My son and I stayed here for a sports clinic. The whole greater Albany area is tricky to get around due to the proliferation of thruways etc. The hotel is close to several fast food and burger places. Pros - Room was a suite. Very comfortable size for a room, though not a 'suite' by anyone's standard definition of a suite. Bed was comfortable. Cons - Error was made in booking by me, rest of party was at Wolf Road Holiday Inn. Hotels.com was notified within 20 minutes of booking and contacted hotel. Holiday Inn franchisee manager refused to change […] without one night charge on the basis of being 5 minutes away, necessitating use of car, and 10 minutes travel time on expressway to get to other location. - Hotel pool and jacuzzi was filthy, water cloudy, would not use. - Hitting the button on the phone with the food icon puts you through to the front desk, where they inform you if you want to order from the restaurant you have to come down, walk through the courtyard to the other side of the property, order from the bar, and wait 20 minutes while the bar prepares it as they do not have a phone in the bar. - Bar food was not good. If you must stay here, go right out of the parking lot, take the first right and then the first left into the Price Choppers grocery store parking lot and buy something there. It will be quicker and taste better. - This hotel caters to children's sports teams that travel on the weekends. Any time on the weekend spent at the hotel meant dealing with unruly children playing catch in the hallways and running around unsupervised in the hotel while their parents drank in the hotel bar. Not pleasant to have a baseball constantly slam against your door at 10:30 on a Saturday night. - Because of the number of families with children in the hotel on the weekend, the hotel was unprepared to feed every guest a continental breakfast. There was no yogurt, no fruit, the automatic pancake maker was out of service, and the orange juice was watered down. I don't consider Pop Tarts or reheated cinnamon rolls breakfast food, especially given the room rate being charged. Outside of the large stain on the floor between the two beds, the room was clean and very spacious.My wife had no issue with movement in the room and the raised high boy toilet had sufficient grab bars. The roll in shower was the right idea, but lack some important refinements, one a ledge for someone to put the soaps and shampoos. The shower floor […] is not a good idea. Also the water ran into the middle of the bathroom and we had to dam up the floor with towels to prevent this from reoccurring. The shower curtain was in need of repair along with the drapery rod which layed on the floor the entire visit? Managed to get by, but the most critical issue was the height of the beds! How they could expect someone in a wheelchair to facilitate this is beyond reason. Lower platform definetly would be wiser. This is not to say it was a poor bed, in fact the matrress and pillows were great once we got her up there, but she would not be able to do this alone. The overall condition of the hotel and rooms were very good. The breakfast service was excellent and support staff were friendly and very helpful.

All around great hotel stay. Quiet, comfortable, clean and friendly staff. The free breakfast was excellent.

Was in Albany and Vermont for work . . .this location was excellent. The hotel was comforable, breakfast buffet was great, hotel staff always seemed busy but pleasant. Only thing that is odd is the fitness center and pool--a little strangely laid out.

IT was ok, but the Century House, La Quinta, Franklin Suites, and a few others have this place beat in spades. Best thing about it is it's proximity to the best Indian restaurant in the region, Karavalli.

The room was okay. The heater was loud and the shower was warm, not hot, in the morning. Other than that the hotel was convenient.

This hotel on any other evening may be fine. We happened on the Blue Angels convention which was loud and disruptive all night. We finally left the hotel at 2:00 in the morning to find a place to actually sleep.

This was a wonderful Hotel. If you are going to do things at Saratoga, this is the place to be. It was not expensive and the hotel was great. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool. The Holiday Inn Express in Latham is perfectly located to Saratoga, Troy, Schenectady and not that far from Albany. The location near grocery stores, a mall, and a bunch of chain restaurants is convenient as well. I was surprised at the end of my work day each day that there were union protestors by the entrance of the hotel. I didn't think to check […] and see if the hotel was having those issues. The hotel was affordable, clean, great location, and good hot breakfast was provided. The only other minor annoyance to me was the Vanilla scented soaps and shampoo. I ended up buying my own. Everything is fine, but it is no wifi in room.

The staff at this hotel was very nice and the breakfast was good. The coverlet at the foot of the bed was dirty, and the bathtub did not drain at all during a shower. There was a large dark stain on the carpet near the bathroom door. There is no on-site restaurant and none within walking distance of the hotel. The price was way too high for the qua […] lity. The breakfast both mornings that we were there were outstanding! Scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, all kinds of bread choices, fruits, juices, excellent coffee, yogurts, cereals, etc. Couldn't have asked for better! And the staff was constantly on hand, replenishing the foods as they any time they ran low. We would definitely stay here […] again, and probably will! I loved, too, that there was a business center with a computer accessible that I could use to check my emails. A fine accomodation

Nous avons aimé notre séjour pour le rappor qualité/prix. L'eau de la piscine un peu froide pour les enfants mais dans l'ensemble, très satisfait.
