Rodeway Inn & Suites Fort Jackson - Kolumbia

We were pleased, hotel very close to Ft Jackson, price was very good, good restaurants close by, would stay there again.

The Hotel is what you pay for; however, the room was not cleaned only made the bed. Had to call to finish cleaning the room, get towels, and take out the trash. The floors were disgusting, badly need of cleaning of multiple stains. Many updates to the hotel needed.

THIS IS A NEVER AGAIN STAY FOR ME . THE INTERNET IS HORRIBLE !!! THE BREAKFAST IS A JOKE ( toast or cereal ) and the most rudess people you,ll ever meet . Folks the price may be attractive , but if you book here you will be sorry .. I found long strands of fine hair in unclean bath tub. Trash near entrance of our room door. Cigarette butts on ground in front of our door also. Worst condition I have seen at this hotel. Many rooms were available, but the female told me to return later, 1 pm is the earliest I could check in.

We went out for our sons graduation at Ft. Jackso. It was convenient with the resturant next door and was about 15 minutes from post. The room was clean but the door didn't seal all the way around it, you could see daylight. For the price & considering we weren't there except to sleep it was good. I've stayed in worst.

After travelling 700 miles to get to the location I encountered a hotel owner telling me that I reserved three rooms rather than one. The mistake was with Hotels.com but instead of just fixing the problem himself I had to wait until the problem was resolved. The owner wouldn't even take a look at my reservation and only said his was different from mine. […] I was quite disappointed but I kept my cool until he resolved the issue. I know the mistake wasn't his but he could have just looked at what my reservation had said. As far as the rooms well thats an issue in itself. I just kept thinking "I hope I don't get bed bugs". The bathroom had black stuff inside the tube which appeared to be dirt scum. I wasn't going to check. There was no restaurant at this location so we travelled away from this hotel to eat as far as breakfast that just wasn't going to happen. Quite frankly I left as fast as I could. If I could have gotten my money and I wasn't so tired I would have left and stay at another hotel. But as they say you get what you pay for and that is exactly what happens. I would suggest to hotels.com that you need to go to these hotels yourself and check them out prior to posting them on your website. If someone does this for your, then they need to stop taking that payoff money. You ratings for this place was horrible I would not have given it a 3.5 that rating was a joke. For the first time using Hotels.com now I learned that I should go with higher rating or just go with what I know. There was confusion about the reservations already being paid for. The management called up to the room and stated that we would have to pay or leave. This was shortly resolved. Room was clean but had minor repairs needed. The hotel was convenient to various stores and restrants but the neighborhood was less than desirable. Will probably not stay there […] again. The hotel served its a purpose a placea clen place with fridge and microwave to lay my head near the base for my sons graduation. However I needed internet service and the service was spotty at best. It was very frustrating. I asked the inn keeper and he switched me to a room just to use internet to turn in an assignment that was nice of him. This is an excellent choice of location if you are in the Columbia area, especially if you enjoy are demand southern cooking at it's total best. The Lizard's Thicket is next door and we had all our meals there and I personally can't wait to get back to all that fine southern cooking.

A decent hotel. Room & linens were clean. Excellent location for Family/Graduation Days at Fort Jackson. It's about 5-7minutes away from the base. Room was a little on the small side but we didn't plan on spending much time in it anyway. A fair deal. Restaurant next door was good, fast, cheap, & very close

For what we paid for it was a comfortable bed and quiet. It had a funny smell to the room and the soap was old and dirty in the package. The towels were skimpy. The outside could use a little elbow grease to pick up the trash. The owner/manager was not friendly. They stay behind a metal bar "cage". The area around the hotel was ok not bad.

The room was surface clean, but behind the furniture it was soda can tops and dirt. The sink leaked and the water was real slow to drain. Had to ask for towels but for the price it was ok, workers did not make beds the whole 2 days. desk clerk was very hard to commicate with don't know if it was a lanuage barrier or not, but was very impolite and reaching […] in front of you when you were getting coffee not saying excuse me any of the times. The hotel room was musty, smelled like mold. There was a pest control problem, and the restroom had a back up.

Had a very nice stay!Hotel was located in the middle of everywhere I wanted to go!Rooms were above average for the price and staff were very nice!Id definitly stay there again!

I was looking for a cheap hotel for a football weekend. This place wasn't bad, especially for the money that I paid. Not a good neighborhood, but they've redone this place and it was an awesome deal! Clean, comfortable beds. Very nice!

decent continental breakfast, comfortable room and bathroom. I'd recommend this place for the money.

For the price of the room this hotel is pretty good. It was clean obviously no Hyatt but clean and the AC worked. TV was nice I didn't spend too much time in the room but it was clean, and it had AC. good enough for me.

I needed an inexpensive place to stay for my sons graduation at Fort Jackson, and the main gate was only 3 minutes down the road. The outside is a little untidy, but not enough to keep people away. There was nothing wrong at anytime during my stay and I have encouraged other graduation parents for Fort Jackson to stay tehre as well. 7/12-14/2011 AT THIS HOTEL, WE RESERVED 7 ROOMS. SOME OF THE AIR CONDITIONS DIDN'T WORK,BUT WE REPORTED IT UP FRONT AND THE MAINTENANCE MAN FIXED THEM. Lots of trash in parking lot, should have been handled prior to holiday weekend, I stayed the 2nd thru the 4th. The tub would not drain property, I am a new breast cancer surgical patient and that was not good, I had to take shower instead. The refrigeration only stayed cool because we filled it with bags of ice. The tub is in bad shape, needs resurfacing, […] or at least, caulking. Was very happy with the over all hotel and would stay there again.

My stay there was for 4 nights and 5 days. I must admit they made my stay very comfortable. I thought it was extremely affordable. No complaints. I am planning a second trip there again because I will have a second child going over to Fort Jackson Sc for bootcamp aswell.

Bed was comfortable and room looked clean. Dirty linen left over shower rod from previous visitors. TV didn't work very well. Ice and drink machine didn't work at all. Front desk people very nice. Good place to eat next to hotel

close the interstate & the fort jackson base where i needed to be! the hotel was fine! it wasn't bad but if you are going to be overly dramatic about a crack in a wall then go find something else geeze. =p it was great for its money$$ =)

checkin staff friendly. Room was clean and kept up for an old hotel. Lots of putty and cauk. our air conditioner didnt get cold. Just blew cool air and the room got stuffy diring the night and hot in the day. I stayedat this hotel in the past and had a ok stay but this time was far from it. First i went to the room trash lined te staircase and the door to the room was propped open, i don't know if that is policy but i did not like it due to the fact it was in the back of the building and dark outside. when i got in the room it smelt old and moldy. Had to be moved from our room twice due to air conditining not working. Hotel is very run down and could really use a complete overhaul.

Lizard's Thicket right next door on one side and Sammi's Deli on the other. Sammi's had the best gyro I ever ate. Remote did not work. no iron or ironing board. Had to pay for ice. "Continental Breakfast" was very sad.

There was no ironing board and I had to iron clothes on a chair.
