This could very easily have been a bad review of the hotel. Checked in at 3pm, an hour later than we thought we could, room was nice but when we were getting ready to go out later, found out that there was no hairdryer in the room, no iron, and the toilet was broken! Phoned down to reception for about 30mins and no one picked up. So went down, read […] to rant with all guns blazing, but didn’t need to as the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, sorted out the issues and got moved to a new room with no fuss. start with the positives. nice room, very nice staff...oh thats it. negatives: outside is appaling, looks run down and the front doors look like they should be on a east end boozer. the windows in the room were filthy both inside and out - which was at odds with the rest of the room. we had a balcony that again was filthy outside. although we apparently […] got the 'last room' there was never anyone about was all very strange. Stayed here for a wedding in Brighton and the location is just perfect, literally seconds from the water front. Room was a bit tiny, but had everything needed. Service from hotel better than could have been expected for the price.

The room was of a good standard and comfortable, the staff helpful and polite. The negatives are sea view rooms back out onto a rough bar which can be problematic noise wise and that we could hear every single movement from the room upstairs- it needs soundproofing- amplified.

Room was clean. Very noisy at night as the south-facing room overllooked a nightclub entrance and window had single-glazing. Shower was lovely. Breakfast expensive. Staff friendly. Location great. Would go back if a cheap deal was available again but wouldn't pay top whack unless last minute.

the hotel has been aesthetically refurbuished to a high standard, however investment has not stretched to the windows - hence rooms are potentially drafty and at the back very noisy over night. our room was small but fine, bar the small hole in the wall(!) and noise from people coming out of bars and clubs late on. bathroom was fine, breakfast basis. […] i had booked B&B but was told i was to be charged for breakfast; this was however quickly withdrawn when i objected. Great location, very polite staff, but condition of the room was very poor. No climate control in room, window was not double glazed, therefore room was either too warm or cold. Decor was rather dated. I would recommend Thistle hotel nearby

Not like other Radisson Blu's I have stayed at. Renamed old building - I think it may have been the Royal York. Clean enough but room had very old carpet, a rickety floor and noisy air conditioning. Very good hotel. We honestly didn't have many gripes and if they were it was because we were nit-picking. people that whinge about this hotel obviously have nothing better to do.the hotel is a little noisey (from the point of view that it isn't double glazing so you here the larger louts passing by every now again(, lol, but thats it! Can't comment […] on quality of breakfast as we didn't buy it ....you do the maths) besides who would want to eat in when you have such a vibrant city outside to explore. EAT OUT! its cheaper :) SO...if you are looking for the ritz....move on, cos this place will never be like that. It is a holiday hotel with a very high traffic of people passing through (make sure your expectations aren't too high). If you are looking for a very comfortable, affordable room for the night, stick with it. Finally staff very friendly and helpful, good wireless signals, clean spacious rooms, right in the heart of the fun! Hotel in absolutley perfect location, friendly, fantastic cocktails in bar, our room exceeded our expectations. The breakfasts were slightly disappointing due to maybe a possible slip of the hand with the amount vinegar added to the water to poach an egg! I would definintely recommend this hotel

We were very pleased with service of reception. The room and bathroom were spacious, well furnished and very clean. We had a sea view and would have stayed longer if our train ticket had allowed. We paid for a good continental breakfast. Thje convenience of the hotel was brilliant. We used our travel passes for bus to station. A nice building, excellent location. Clean, comfortable bed. Air conditioning was noisy and not working quite right; internet was advertised but did not work. I was only there 2 nights with just time to sleep and shower.

We enjoyed the stay - great breakfast, comfy beds and a nice sea view. We stayed at the rear of the hotel and there is a night club a short distance away from the hotel - it was quite noisy in the early hours at the weekend. But that aside it was a great location and the staff were friendly.

We had an excellent stay. Hotel is very central. got upgraded as wasn't full and the business class room was lovely- sitting area, big bathroom. Very clean, good decor, good view up Old Stein. Good value bar and WiFi worked well. Highly recommended.

Unser Zimmer war groß genug für zwei, das Bad sah aus wie neu gefliest, also sehr gut. Wenn man damit umgehen kann dass vor der Tür Busse vorbeifahren ist alles ok. Die Sauberkeit war allgemein gut, nur hätte man eventuell auch mal in "höheren" Lagen Staub wischen können (zum Beispiel auf dem Türrahmen ;-) ). Aber auf alle Fälle ist das Hotel eine Alternative […] und auch zu Fuss vom Bahnhof erreichbar. Über das Essen können wir nichts sagen, da wir zu Besuch bei Freunden waren und nur dort gegessen haben, aber es sah sehr gut aus wie morgens das Frühstücksbuffet angerichtet war. Przeczytaj więcej

There were only single-layer glass in the windows of the hotel and thus, lots of noise was carried to my room at night due to traffic and especially due to drunken students. During the day, lots of noise was also coming through the roof from the above floor. As a conclusion, the soundproofings are poor in this hotel. Otherwise it is very cosy.

Fin og rent hotell. Beliggenhet var ypperlig men det som trakk ned litt var de knøtt små rommene! Kunne nærmest ikke bevege på seg men så er det jo veldig vanlig i England med små hotellrom. Ellers veldig bra!!
