"HI Express Concordia - exceeded my expectations!"
I've stayed in other hotels in the area, and have generally been disappointed or appalled by the condition and operations. Holiday Inn Express was a pleasant and unexpected exception - clean, relatively quiet, good facilities, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Excellent accommodations for the money!

"The hotel in Concordia"
I'm about customer service when I work and this hotel is not for it from my impression at breakfast. The breakfast shuts down at 9:30 which I understand. I also understand its a free breakfast. But when we went to breakfast we got there at 8:50. There was no more coffee left nor did they ever refill it by 9:30. The breakfast for that morning was biscuits […] and gravy. There was no more left when we got there, nor did they make more. They had this neat little pancake maker. It was out of pancake mix. I told the lady and she never did anything about it in the 40 min. A lady asked for coffee around 9 and the person working the breakfast said 1 min. She never got her coffee when I left. She even went to the front desk where the GM was sitting and asked if she could get more coffee. He went around and talked to the lady who was doing the breakfast. But again I never saw here get coffee. Then at 925 they started to take away all the food. There were still people eating. The only thing she left out was the green banana's and the empty dishes where the biscuits and gravy where. She picked up all the cereal and the toast. I know it was getting close to 9:30 but wait tell 9:30 to pick the food up. In my opinion this is horrible customer service. The lady who was running the breakfast would of been fired if she worked for me. Her attitude towards the guests where horrible too. So this is why the hotel gets such a bad rating for me. "Descent Motel"
I would like to say that the motel was extremely clean and very comfortable beds. The only fault was there treadmill in there exercise room, it was wore out from use and needs to be replaced. Other then that this is a great motel to stay in.
Our stay was so nice and the employees were so friendly. We will be staying there again.

"Cleanliness"
When we checked in my daughter went in the bathroom and found makeup and hairs in the sink and toothpaste on the mirror and hairs in the bathroom. Called the front desk and she said she would come up and clean it and I told her to get us another room which she did. Then the second room was cold and we couldn't get the heat to come on so called the front […] desk again and was told she forgot to turn on the switch that would let us turn on the heat and apologized.
