Rooms clean but very small. great non-central location with easy access to tube with a great mall across the street for meals/movies.

This hotel is consitent in its presentation and service. I've used it for years.

We stayed here for 9 nights and loved the convenient location next to the Finchley Road Tub stop, just a 2 minute walk. There is a shopping mall of sorts directly across the street with excellent eateries, Starbucks, a book store, a cinema and a grocery store named Sainsbury. If you can wait you should exchange your money at Sainsbury they have great […] rates and do not charge commission. If you exchange your money near tourist traps you will get hit hard with fees and poor rates. You can also get a premade sandwich, a drink and chips for 3 pounds…. Bargain when trying to budget. Also, I recommend buying large bottles of Evian for a pound and bringing them up to your room. The hotel provides large cups of ice and a cool drink is nice in a warm room. The cinema is very nice… We saw the final Harry Potter film here and loved the facility. The Holiday inn Express Swiss Cottage is a relatively modern hotel with very little in terms of amenities. The free daily hot breakfast was worthwhile with eggs, bacon/sausage, pastries, cereals, toast, coffee, juice etc. It’s pretty much the same selection every day and staying for 9 days we had to take a break and eat elsewhere for a few days. The rooms are tight… beds are a little stiff but it didn’t bother me. Shower and bathroom area were fine and relatively roomy in relation to the overall hotel room size. No free internet anywhere in this hotel….very disappointing but I guess pretty common in London because we had a lot of difficulty finding free WiFi. The coffee shop Za Za has free WiFi across the street from the hotel if you are willing to buy a cup of coffee. We took heed of some of the comments here that warned of traffic noise at the front side of the building and stayed at the back. Good thing because our room was very warm and we slept at night with the window open. The only negative that was quite annoying is the air conditioning didn’t seem to work. We stayed here when going to see a concert at Wembley. It was the only hotel I found which allowed 3 adults to share a room which saved us a significant amount of money. It was clean, well equipped and the staff were friendly. I was also impressed with the parking which I pre-booked (a lock up garage at the rear of the hotel) and the cost was very reasonable […] for London. My only criticism would be that breakfast time was a bit of zoo. All the food etc. was tucked away in a corner so everyone was trying to get into the same small space. Also, there didn't seem to be enough crockery and cutlery - or perhaps the staff couldn't clear it, wash it and turn it around fast enough. Overall, a good stay and excellent value for money! Woman working front desk was extremely unhelpful during our entire stay. Never could help us with anything, didn't even know what Abbey road was. When we asked her if we could have her print something for us she refused and we had to wait and ask another employee. Also, very distant from any attractions.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Swiss Cottage to be near relatives. For London, the price was pretty good, and the hotel sits across street from the Finchley Road tube station, making the trek into town pretty straightforward. Very secure, clean and comfortable room, close to the Finchley Road Underground. Had an outstanding Italian meal at Nonna Rita's just one block north. Hotel serves the best complimentary breakfast I've had.

Road noise from Finchley Road made it impossible to get a good nights sleep. When we requested a move to a room at the back of the hotel from Laurent who was in charge of the front desk at the time we were met with indifference.

Nice and clean, staffs were friendly, close to shops and train station. Highly recommended for travellers.

Room was clean & tidy. You get what you pay for with Holiday Inn Express. Room is small but more than adequate. Located on Finchley Road opposite the O2 centre. Superb Wetherspoons in the centre with various restaurants so good local dining. Bit out from the city centre (20-40 mins on bus dependant on traffic & 10 mins on tube). This was a most enjoyable stay at a modern Hotel with facilities sufficient for a comfortable stay at a fair price. The staff were courteous and helpful, the location was good for both underground and buses into the centre of the City.

I booked 2 rooms for myself and my family in mid-March. The staff was able to give us adjoining rooms, which was wonderful. The rooms were clean and enough space for the 5 of us (3 adults and 2 children). The hotel was also great. Clean and well-maintained. The free breakfast every morning was excellent - a variety of breads and pastries, eggs and […] bacon (!), fruit, yogurt, cereal, coffee and tea. The location of the hotel was phenomenal. 2 blocks away from the Finchley Road tube (which carried the Jubilee and Metropolitan lines - less than 10 minutes into central London and the major sites). There was a huge shopping complex across the street with a movie theater, supermarket, and several restaurants. The neighborhood also had some great places to eat (including a decent Chinese restaurant less than a block away). Overall, the hotel was an excellent value for the location, amenities, and room. Good value for money hotel close to Finchley Road Tube Station. Breakfast was a bit hectic as there didn't seem to be enough people replenishing the food, cutlery, etc.

We have used this hotel on several occassions when Xmas Shopping and catching a show in the West End.Its great if you want to take a car to transport yourselves and all those Xmas gifts.The tube is very accessible,the rooms clean and comfortable and the breakfast adequate to sustain the hungry shopper.Only a small car park so book in advance but would […] definately recommend for a girlie w/end when you want simplicity and easy access to the London sights on a budget. My husband and I were very pleased with our stay at this hotel. The only thing negative that I would say is that the rooms were a little cramped, but that is typical for a business-class hotel in London. The hot breakfast was terrific and we never grew tired of it during our week long stay. Vi havde en dejlig byferie med en perfekt base. Super service på hotelet og rigtig god morgenmad. Vi kan som familie, kun give de bedste anbefalinger til andre der skal besøge London.

Rent och fräscht hotell med bra läge nära tunnelbanan och ca 10-15 min till Oxford Street (med tunnelbana). Busshållplats finns också direkt utanför hotellet. Inte så stora rum men där är man ju inte större delen av tiden. Bäddsoffan var inte speciellt bekväm. Bra frukost med ägg, korv, cornflakes, yoghurt, bröd, dryck mm. Trevlig personal. Bättre än genomsntittet av hotell i London i samma prisklass. Helt Ok frukost. Extrasängen var rätt obekväm. Mycket tillmötesgående personal. Rätt mycket störande billjud på vardagar om man har rum mot gatan. Tvärsöver gatan finns biograf, möjlighet att äta riktigt mat gott och billigt samt mataffär.

Hotelli on edullinen vaihtoehto nelihenkiselle perheelle, koska koko perhe voi majoittua yhdessä huoneessa. Se on lisäksi hyvien yhteyksien päässä (bussit kulkevat melkein ulko-oven vierestä ja maanalainen on kadun toisella puolella) monista nähtävyyksistä. Et hyggeligt hotel med nogle meget venlige medarbejdere. Kan klart anbefales. Tilfredse danskere.

Ett trevligt hotell i klass med svenska Scandic - vilket vi inte trodde vi kunde få i London. Rent hotell med god frukost speciellt bra med valbar frukost för våra två barn. Härligt shoppingcentrum mitt över gatan. Billigt!

LIgger 5 minutter fra UNDERGROUND og busser til city og lufthavne. Og meget tæt på dejlige Hampstead med små spændende stræde og gader , og ved Hampstead Heath. By og land nærved. Gode etniske restauranter både nær hotellet og " oppe " i romantiske Hampstead. Pæne rene værelser, hvor der er det nødvendige. Morgenmad helt ok. probleme en arrivant à la reception, nous affirmant que nous n'avions pas encore payé alors que c'était fait depuis longtemps même propos lors du check out ,un peu enervant quand même. La chambre familiale le 2eme lit un vulgére canapé ou nos ados se sont tués le dos pendant 2 nuits. Sinon bon petit dejeuner et acces facile au centre par le métro.

Das Preis-Leistung Verhältnis stimmt, vor allem für Londoner Verhältnisse ist das Hotel günstig.

Wir sind zusammen mit unseren Kindern (13 und 15) gereist. Das Hotel war für uns genau richtig. Nur wenige Schritte von der nächsten U-Bahn entfernt ist es ein idealer Ausgangspunkt um schnell in die City zu gelangen. Gegenüber hat es ein kleines Einkaufszentrum mit Kinos und einigen Restaurants. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und ruhig (wir waren nicht […] direkt an der Straße). Wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer (für 4 Personen erweitert). Da man nur zum Schlafen ins Hotel geht, war das völlig ausreichend. Das Bad war sehr groß. Super Hotel für einen Kurztripp nach London. Die Zimmer waren gut eingerichtet und vor allem sehr sauber. Das Bad/die Dusche ist für englische Verhältnisse ausgezeichnet. Die U-Bahn ist sehr schnell erreichbar. Etwas störend ist die laute Straße. Das Frühstück ist einfach aber im Ergebnis aber vollkommen in Ordnung.

Ich kann das Hotel für einen City-Aufenthalt nur empfehlen. 3 U-Bahn Stationen bis Baker Street und die U-Bahn Station befindet sich 150 m vom Hotel. In unmittelbarer Umgebung befinden sich Pubs, Geschäfte, Internetcafe und Bus-Haltestelle. Hervorzuheben sind die für Londoner Verhältnisse großen Zimmer. Bra hotell inte alltför långt från centrum. Busshållplats ligger alldeles utanför hotellet och tunnelbanestation några hundra m bort. Tar ca 15 min. med tunnelbanan i till centrum, något längre med buss. Kommer man från Stanstead stannar National Express (A6) alldeles utanför hotellet. En rigtig god hotel der passede perfekt til vores behov. Ligge centralt placeret op ad både bus forbindelse til stansted lufthavn og undergrunden (kun 400 m fra hotel). En god standard og god morgenmad.

Zimmer war relativ klein und hatte keinen Kleiderschrank und praktisch keine Ablageflächen. Ausserdem fehlte Aufhängevorrichtung für Duschtücher. Ansonsten war das Zimmer sauber und das Bett bequem. Frühstück war im Preis inbegriffen und relativ reichhaltig.

Hotellet er nyere, pænt og rent. Alt er i orden og prisen er meget lav i forhold til den komfort og pæne værelser. Beliggenheden er tæt ved undergrundsstation og man kommer let dertil. Kvarteret er ikke noget særligt og der er støj fra trafik da beliggenheden er ud til en stor vej. Men det er til at leve med og jeg ville gerne vælge samme hotel igen, […] da det vigtigste for os var at det var lyst, rent, pænt og let at komme til offentlig transport. Det tager ca 12-14 min til centrum med gang til undergrund og transport deri. Morgenmaden på hotellet er over forventning (buffet) og personalet venlige og hjælpsomme. Et godt ophold med god service. Værelset var fint og rengøringen ok.

Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden bis auf das Frühstücksbuffet. Das Buffet ist in einem viel zu kleinen Raum und es hat zuwenig Auswahl. Aber sonst war alles prima - ich würde dieses Hotel immer wieder buchen.

Hotellet var jätte bra, god frukost, bra service, bra läge och förbindelser med både tunnelbana och buss. Det enda minuset var att vårt rum luktade lite cigarettrök även om det va på en rökfri våning.
