Newpark Resort & Hotel - Park City

We loved our room at the Newpark Hotel. The best was so comfortable; I slept like a baby! The bathroom was huge and beautiful, and the hotel itself had amazing decor. Overall, it was a great experience and I would absolutely stay here again.

I stay at the Newpark on every visit to Park City. I have tried other hotels but the Newpark is close to everything I need. Shooping, Whole Foods, Starbucks, JMax clothing, Best Buy if I need electronics etc. The staff is absolutely helpful, courteous and informative and I simply won't stay anywhere else now. Great hotel. Many positives and one problem. The HVAC was an issue. It can't be really adjusted to temperature you would expect.

This hotel offered a nice,comfortable room that was clean and provided the conveniences you would expect from large well known 4 star resort! The fireplace and jacuzzi in the room both worked quite well! The staff are very helpful and willing to answer all questions! This was the place we would choose for the next visit to Park City.

We just returned from our wonderful ski trip in Park City & Moab. We were delighted with our stay at this hotel! Top notch! First of all, the contemporary Prairie architecture was stunning-not only at this hotel but the surrounding city. The decor was very tasteful and handsome. No detail was left unattended to. For example, the chairs all had castor […] wheels for ease of use about the room. The kitchenette was thoughtfully designed, with a perfectly sized dishwasher and all the soaps were provided (under the sink.) Having a washer & dryer in the suite was a huge plus! The master bedroom doors pulled tightly closed and locked-so travel with our kids was not an issue (wink-wink)! They slept on the pull out couch, very comfortably. The patio with hotub overlooking the street scene was fun! The surrounding restaurants were exceedingly good and popular hot-spots. Across the street was an open fire pit which folks could gather around to warm....Very cool! Probably the best part was the "Kneaders" cafe downstairs that provided the best bakery goods and salads for breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! Fabulous food-quaint shop! Mini Keurig coffee pot with free k-pods a big plus! The suite was larger than expected, flat screen TV in the master and another TV in the family room, and a gas fire-place, huge bathroom decked out in granite left us with nothing to be desired. The room was very clean and nice, we just had a basic deluxe room, it had a fireplace, and a tub/ shower combo.( Tub was big). My only complaint was that they did not serve a complementary breakfast, and that there was no sit down places to eat at. They had Kneaders, and two grab and go places close by. So plan a head for breakfast.

Nice place, comfortable room, but a long way from town and the Park City/Deer Valley slopes.....get the same accommodations closer for roughly the same price. If you don't have a car, you are locked into a $20 cab ride each way (the bus is free, but infrequent).

Hotel was very modern and in close proximity to local ski resorts, downtown Park City and various restaurants and shops. Room was very clean and up-to-date with modern amenitities, but not very big and hard to keep the temperature at a comfortable level. My wife and I had a wonderful winter getaway at the Newpark Resort. Our one-bedroom suite was spacious and very comfortable. Great kitchen and bathrooms. We will return.

I wish we had spent a couple nights here. The room was phenomenal. Location is great with shopping and food. I felt like I was at home here. Highly recommend to my friends.

Really loved the Newpark. I used to live in Park City and have heard good things about this hotel. It did not disappoint! Incredibly comfortable. Our room was spacious, well designed and had a gorgeous view of the mountains. Bed was so comfortable - I would have bought he bedding if it was available to buy. Kerig in room with free coffee was awesome. […] Hot tub was fab on the deck. This is a great place to stay if you plan on skiing at the Canyons. Our family stayed at the Newpart Resort over the Christmas Holiday. We liked the flexibility that New Park had to offer. We shopped at the local grocery stores for breakfast and snack foods. We got take out and enjoyed it in our room. We also enjoyed the restaurants at Deer Valley, Park City and in New Park. There is also a fabulous bakery that serves […] breakfast, lunch and treats until 9 pm. The views were terrific and the hot tub on our deck gave us quality family time together. We had an amazing experience at the hotel. We had a special request when we booked the hotel and we were given the request with no problems. Everything was very clean and well kept. We were in walking distance of several nice restaurants. Our fire place nob broke off and they came and replaced immediately. The hot tub on the balcony was well worth the […] extra cost. Everything in this room was great. We were able to get a DVD player to watch a movie we had rented and the bathroom was by far the best part of the room, the only issue my husband and I had was the room was way to hot. Newpark Resort and Hotel is strategically located for skiing, shopping and dining. Room came with refrigerator, stovetop with 2 burners, microwave, refrigerator and an outdoor hottub. Ample room for storage (luggage and skis).

not the best location for the park city mountains but it is great if you are checking out snowbird, and snowbasin as well.

Room quality: we got the cheapest room and it had everything you could need: fridge, sink, plates, cups, cutlery, Kuerig coffeemaker, comfy bed, fireplace, TV, sitting area, nice bathroom with huge soaking tub, closet, etc. First they put us in a room with a tiny window looking into an elevator shaft type space and it was too claustrophobic, but they […] moved us to a room with two okay-size windows with plenty of light and that was better. Overall, great value for price. Free parking too. Location: The hotel is at the side of a huge shopping mall which is quite convenient. You're near a grocery store, TJ Maxx, post office, Cost Plus, movie theatres, a nice Italian restaurant (Ghidotti's) and brew pub and lots more. However, it doesn't feel like you're staying in the middle of the mall. You are a good 10 minute drive from the old town so make sure you rent a car. Yes, you can take the public bus, which is free, but standing outside in the freezing cold waiting a half hour is no fun. Plus buses run only every hour after 9 p.m. Soundproofing issues: You can hear your neighbors. Every word. We were next door to an "owner" who ran her noisy washer/dryer every night for three hours, 9p.m. to midnight. When we complained to the management, they relayed the concerns to the "owner," who cared not one iota, because they couldn't evict her. The New Park Hotel is just OK considering the price for the location; the value is just not there. The "deluxe" room is on the small side while the bathroom is quite large; everything was very clean. There is no dresser; there are drawers under both sides of the bed instead, adding to the cramped feeling of the room The room has a small fridge, plates, […] cups, glasses and silverware so one could have fruit and pastries for breakfast. There are several restaurants nearby and convenient free city bus service to Main Street in Park City and the three ski areas. Nice hotel, great staff, fab location. We will be back.

At first, this hotel exceeded my expectations. When we checked in for our anniversary, I asked if they had any promotions for anniversary rooms. They upgraded our room for free with a hot tub on the deck. Nice! The condition of the hotel is very clean, modern and it's close to shopping and food...maybe too close, but I didn't notice traffic noise as […] the windows are insulated well. My wife and I were happy and relaxed in this nice getaway from the kids... then, just before bed, we noticed something: A crying baby. As it turns out, the room we stayed in has a door connected to another room (I'm guessing they do this for larger parties). But it's a horrible design flaw if you want sleep. And it's a hotel, so naturally people want to GET SLEEP. The whole way to the hotel, my wife kept saying, "I'm so excited to sleep in." We have 2 boys, one with autism, and at times I work 2 shifts...so yeah, we arrived tired. We stuffed towels and blankets in the door cracks to try and muffle the sound, but still heard the baby next door, as well as our neighbors conversations. It's that bad. I really wanted to give this hotel a 5-star review. Until they fix this MAJOR issue (weatherstrip the doors, maybe?), I can only recommend this hotel if you are staying with some family in the room next to you, or for larger parties, that kind of thing. Very nice, good shopping and dining and close to airport

If you get the standard room it is very small and not set up for office work (no desk or work spacee) But for 1-2 people on a romantic or fun trip its ideal.

Very heavenly and acomadating

The stay was very pleasant! The staff was very kind. I thought they should of known a little more about their surroundings and what was open on Thanksgiving. I would not hesitate to stay there again. We don't live far from this hotel, but went up for a couple of days in order to get a way. I was truly blown away by all aspects of the hotel. We loved every bit of it and have determined to go back there a couple times a year. If you're on the fence about staying there, just do it. You will not regret it in the least. We LOVED it.

My husband and I stayed here for our third anniversary, and it couldn't have been more perfect! We booked the suite-style room with one king bed. We had read some reviews from people critizing the lack of privacy in the balcony hot tubs, but we used ours both evenings (well after dark) and didn't feel exposed at all. I mean, I guess if someone on the […] street were to stop in 20 degree weather, at night, and try and look four stories up they might see you, but it's not likely. We both felt that it was very private and very romantic. In addition, the room was immaculate. Very clean and well furnished. The bed was comfortable, the fireplace provided a lot of warmth and ambiance, and the bathroom was absolutely luxurious. There were bathrobes, toiletries provided, and his and her sinks. I am a tall woman (5'9"), and I was able to stretch my legs all the way out in the tub when I took a bath. It is a good size for two as well. ;) The kitchenette is galley-style and is actually right there int the room, which I actually liked. I never felt separated from my husband when I was preparing food. The fridge is full sized but everything else is kind of small. I was just right for our needs. There was a small dishwasher (stainless steel, of course) and a two-burner glass cook top. There was also a sink, freezer, and microwave oven. The situation of the hotel is also nice. It's right in the new development in Kimball Junction, so the outlets are right across the street and there are some options for restaurants and groceries all right there. i was in town for a gymnastics competition which I walked to each morning. (Great location) I was able to grab a meal without driving anywhere. The room was very nice and clean. The staff members were pleasant & helpful. All in all, a wonderful stay.

Very clean and great mountain decor. Comfy bed, couch, nice bathroom also. We were on a budget weekend so stayed in the smallest room, and it was pretty tight. Handy fridge, sink, etc. but oddly no microwave. Convenient location right at Kimball Junction, an easy walk to several good restaurants, and only 10 minutes or so to old town PC. Stayed here for 6 nights, mixed reviews. We booked the basic room, it's on the small side, no dresser to put your clothes in for the week. There's drawers underneath the bed, one side was kind of difficult to access because the bed is too close to the wall. The coffee table opens up so I had to use that to store clothes in. The room is beautiful, love […] the spacious bathroom and deep tub. The one major issue we had was the thin walls, they were SO thin we could hear the guy next door blowing his nose! And unfortunately for us we could hear the 5am wake up call next door! When I am on vacation it's my one opportunity to get some good sleep, and the 5am wake up call next door ruined my week! There was also a lot of very loud noise outside at 5 am, every single day, I don't know if we were near a trash compactor or what, but a tremendously loud booming noise at 5 am-ish every day. We asked the front desk for an upgrade to a suite but were told none were available. Also in the basic room, you have dishes and a sink, but no microwave or stove, so dishes are not necessary!? Adorable little ski resort with every amenitty. We have Whole Foods on site and plenty of places to eat. About 10 minutes to Main Street. Only complaint would be that it was hard to get the climate controlled in the room. Also I recommend splurging for the Luxury Suite with your own private Hot Tub on Deck.

My wife and I went here for our honey moon. It was great there are a ton of little extra's like heated floors. There are good affordable restaurants all around and it's across the street from the olympic park and down the street from some awesome outlet stores!

Second stay at the Newpark for my wife and I and e love having a nice dinner at the local spots and hitting our hot tub for a nice soak before a quiet night. Love the amenities and plan on staying again. Service is always great and accomendating.

I read mostly positive reviews for this property, so my expectations were high. The room was nicely appointed, but I had several complaints. My room's temperature control system did not seem to operate correctly. Either freezing cold or stuffy hot. The room had a mildewy, musty smell that did not go away. Lastly, the guest in the adjacent room was not […] what I'd consider noisy yet every sound seemed amplified. I would not stay here again if I was given this room. I suspect I was not given one of the "last resort" rooms since the property seemed to be completely booked with a large corporate event having booked many rooms. This hotel was great for a honeymoon especially the hot tub on the deck. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook. The beds were soft and comfortable. We would definitely stay at newpark hotel again. We wish now that we could move into the condo or townhomes.

This place was great! Staff was awesome and the rooms were spacious and clean! I felt spoiled staying there.

The staff here was extremely helpful. I hosted my wife's 30th birthday party at this hotel. Front desk (Jim) walked me around the property and showed me my options for the type of room that would be best-suited for my needs. The bathroom was very nice. I think they got the room mixed around. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. I would recommend the hotel just don't get the closet room.

I the quality of the hotel is amazingly beautiful. We stayed in the one bedroom suite that I would strongly recommend to anyone for any reason. The location was convenient, we hardly had to drive anywhere. The full kitchen was well stocked. The staff was unfriendly as many comments have also suggested and the walls are very thin. You can hear everything […] that goes on in the room next to you -really, we know what was going on in the lives of the women that were visiting for a convention.
