Sandyport Beaches Resort - Nassau (i okolice)

It is a nice Hotel and nice beaches ,will stay here again when we go visit Nassau .

Great place to stay. Bus ride to town. Rooms were nice and clean man made beach, water slides, walk to the ocean. I would stay here again if I ever come back to Nassau. Staff was very nice especially the security that they on site.They were very helpful.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the location to be quite sweet and serene. The staff were very friendly although a bit uninformed; e.g. the shuttle goes to Wyndham not the Sheraton and I waited 1 and 1/5 hours for any shuttle only to share a cab with a couple who treated me to the ride because... ...my room did not have a safe; the kitchen […] sink did not work and was not replaced until my 2nd last night there; clean towels were late coming; the balcony door did not work and I asked for it be fixed 7 or 8 times!!! and it was finally done a day later; the window fell out of it's brackets when I tried to open it for some fresh air; there was plenty of hot water and when I ran it with some cold for my bath the shower also ran and rained all over me..this only happened when I ran the cold water :-); and, I think this may be it, my neighbours were so noisy I actually had to complain; this worked for about 15 minutes at a time only to start all over again. BUT! to the management's credit, I asked for some form of compensation equivalent to a night's stay, and received a $100.00 credit to my credit card. The people really are very nice and I quite enjoyed the Bahamas in spite of all this. Why let a few (lol) things ruin a good time?! Przeczytaj więcej

During our 3-night stay at the Sandyport Beaches Resort, we found the hotel staff to be very friendly. They plan weekly activities which guests can participate in, or they can just sit on the beach or by the pools all day. There is a little lagoon which winds around the outside of the lobby. We enjoyed watching the fish swim near the bridges. The beach […] is just across the street (but you can get there easier going under the bridge). We didn't swim while we were there but the beach is large and there weren't many people on it. Just under the bridge there is a restaurant which has a great view of the water; next door (across a channel) is the Poopdeck - another restaurant we ate at and enjoyed. The room was pretty average but it was clean and looked "beachy" with fresh paint. The bathroom was a bit tight and outdated but it worked. The hotel seemed to be out of coffee, tea and cups - which was strange. Each room has an A/C unit so you can keep the room a comfortable temperature. In summary, a good place to stay. A refreshing break from other tourist bubbles on the island(s). The activities director said it best, "we aren't a 5-star hotel but we have 5-star hearts." Przeczytaj więcej

Check-in was easy. Staff was extremely friendly and accomodating. Room was small, but very clean. Breakfast at the pool bar each day was fantastic. Cleve, the cook, was very friendly and made anything you wanted. I look forward to returning to this resort.

Attractive exterior with OK furnishings. Perfectly adequate or appropriate for the price range.

Although rooms were clean and well appointed, we were not pleased with the walking distance to get to the rooms or walking up a flight of stairs with luggage. We found out that a lot of the rooms were out of order or under maintenance, so our request for a first floor accomodation could not be granted. This was our first time at this resort even though we have been to Nassau many times. The rooms were very clean. However...we had upstairs rooms but no option of an elevator...the room was small and the door hit the bed when we entered or left...there was a coffe pot, but no coffee/tea/sugar etc...the bathroom was definitely one person size...I took […] a shower one evening and the water in the tub had not drained out the next morning...the promised WIFI never worked! The resort is locate at the west end of the island....not within walking distance of either the Cable Beach casinos or downtown. To get around, we rented a car but there was no parking close to the rooms, only next to the office. There is a guarded and gated entrance for cars, but no restriction for anyone who wanted to walk onto the property. This is more an oddity than a problem since we have never been afraid to walk or drive anywhere on the island. On the plus side...it was quiet, clean and close to the ocean. Przeczytaj więcej

Ten-minute ride from airport. Very safe surroundings (there is 24-hour security at the entrance to the road to the hotel). The lobby and room were a little outdated but clean. The heater in the room did not work ( I went on December 27 and there was a cold front that came through). There is a restaurant at the hotel and another one nearby. The other […] restaurant (Provence at Sandyport) is a little hard to find. You have to go through the pool area (with slides) to find the path to the boardwalk that leads you to the restaurant. I strongly recommend this restaurant--great service, great Bahama Mama (drink with rum), and great food. The hotel also provides beach access to a nice beach with a pier. It's a two-story hotel with no elevator. I had to carry my suitcase up some small stairs. Overall, a very good and cute hotel with brightly colored buildings. Every thing was so far away from this hotel any other restaurant was a 20 to 30 dollar car ride away. The only thing that was open was a convenient store attached to a gas station that was not very well stocked but if you want to eat you had to find provisions in there to cook. Next to the convenient store is a the old town mall a stripe mall. Only […] none of the store are open.. most of them are out of business. So at night it is not a very safe looking place to walk around. I went to a French restaurant on my first night that down by this mall it was very expensive. To get downtown is a $25.00 one way taxis ride and to Paradise island is $30.00. All of the entertainment in Nassau is downtown and on Paradise island. So I suggest saying downtown and skip this place it is a night mare. This was the worst hotel experience that have ever had. They have a pool that was dirty it had a slide for the kids but no water so the kids were running on it. i was was not maintained The room was clean, the TV had snow the remote control did not work. It was a kitchenette and the Gas stove did not work. however the maid came in a fix the stove and left some matches and a new remote control. They have a snack machine, however the change machine does not work, I went there and came back to my room and tried to cook but the water from the sink was leaking all behind the back splash and down under the sink and all over the floor, water was everywhere. I reported this problem but no one came up to fix it the next morning I was checking out there was no hot water. I call the front desk she ask me to let the water run then after a half hour told me go to another room to take a shower. I'm naked and don't want put on clean clothes to go take a shower in another room so I had to boil water and wash up in the bathroom sink. My stay at the Sandyport Beaches Resort was good. The rates are decent and the area is good. However, there isn't much to do nearby, so you will need to travel a little down towards Cable Beach or Paradise Island for nightlife. The resort is well kept and the pools are nice. While this resort looks good there are too many renovations going on in the area I stayed. I had to climb over electrical cords before getting into my room. No hot water for two days. Loud noises from men power washing walls early in the morning. Pool was being renovated. It was not my ideal visit for the first time being on this Island. My towels were […] collected at 08:30 and at 6pm I had to call for them to be returned. It is probably bad timing for me and even though there were many things going wrong, the manager did everything to make my stay as plesant as possible. That certainly helped the other quirks. The resort is adorable. The rooms are clean and the staff is VERY HELPFUL and friendly. It is a little off the beaten path so a car is necessary or you can just jump on the 10 bus on the main road for $1.25. We started off taking the bus but then decided to rent a car because it was too difficult to take the bus with 2 small kids and a big stroller! […] There is a great restaurant close by and a gelato shop, otherwise you have to do a lot of walking to access food or the super market. The place is under renovation but still in good shape. The pool that's currently open, is functional and attached to the slides. The slides were a ton of fun for everybody. The resort has a really nice lagoon and man made beach on one side. There are also walking paths and if you follow the path, behind the reservation building and under the bridge, it leads you to the actual beach. This is also where the restaurant is located. Overall this was a very nice place and I would stay there again. The only issue was the hot water stopped working for whatever reason and I had to take a cold shower once. They allowed us to use another room though, which had hot water. The studio rooms are clean, fine and functional. The deluxe suites are beautiful. You get what you pay for so don't believe all the negative comments that were posted. I read them and was nervous about staying here. I even almost changed my reservations but then decided not to and I'm glad I went. It really is a quaint little place. P.S. Cameron deserves a raise! and so do all of the others who helped us! I liked staying at Sandyport. The first night wasn't good. The room was very tiny and the room was very dusty like it hadden been used in a while. it was late when I checked so the next morning I called the front desk and they sent someone over right away. The manager came and changed the room for us within the hour. The new room was an upgrade and […] very spacious and nice. The rest of my stay was very good. I would stay there again. The efficiency units are very small, not really for two persons. The Suites are large well laid out and very nice. I was upgraded at no cost. The units are well worn and in need of repair--air conditioning and hot tub not functioning. Offer to move was made--weather didn't require move. Two LCD TV's--good cable service. No Wi-fi to rooms. The kitchen […] was full and spacious. The staff: Mgr. Vernon Moss tried to effectuate our needs. Maid service was excellent. The hotel is suffering from lack of resources as is the case in much of the Caribbean. Value for the money was excellent. Squimish about bugs--maybe not for you. They do exist everywhere -- even at Atlantis. Very good location if you're diving out of Stuart Cove property. Close to Sbarros and grocery stores. Przeczytaj więcej

This hotel is far from the places to see in Nassau. We checked in at 8pm and got to our room to find NO TV REMOTE, NO PHONE and the ALARM CLOCK DID NOT WORK. House keeping left for the night and there was no manager available to help. So we had to wait the next day for these items. Staff was very helpfull and accomidating, the room was clean and comfortable. The complex is off the beaten path and you will need to do alot of walking or get a car rental. The buildings and grounds need an overhall BIGTIME. But for the price an overnight stay it was well worth it,

I call all the hotels in Nassau, and the price's was very high to stay in a nice hotel, so I check Sandypoint Resort and the price was great. I will all ways stay there from now on.

If you want paradise, Sandyport is it! It's relaxing, the staff showers you with consideration! The rooms are oh so beautiful, this is the place to be! I sincerely enjoyed my stay there!

The sandyport Beaches Resort exceeded my expecations, the hotel staff went overboard to see that all my needs were meet! If you want to relax and have a wonderful time stay at Sandyport Resort. Mrs. McPhee is excellent!

hotel esta alejado de centro ciudad y no tiene servicios apropiados en cuestion de restaurante ni hay restaurantes cercas. Demasiado aislado

Meg og kona var på Bahamas for en snau uke og valgte Sandyport. Servicen var helt fantastisk! Nært til strand og lokalt supermarked hvor man kan kjøpe mat, dog ganske stive priser der! Vi hadde deluxe suite, og syns det var veldig kjekt med mulighet til å lage mat selv etc. Man må ta taxi fram og tilake til flyplassen, tar ca 10 min og koster ca 18 […] dollar. Ellers koster buss bare 1.25 dollar og man kan sitte på helt inn til downtown Nassau, veldig kjekt! Vi leide snorklingutstyr for 10 dollar pr person på hotellet og fikk sett masse fisk og skilpadder mm! Anbefales! Jevnt over var vi veldig godt fornøyd med oppholdet og lokalbefolkningen er flotte mennesker som gjør alt de kan for å hjelpe og sikre at man får et fint opphold! Przeczytaj więcej

Cuando llegamos la sabana de la 2° cama estaba usada. No te reponen el café diariamente. Al pedir algo t dicen que si pero nunca llega. Por otro lado, las instalaciones on buenas acorde al precio. Mil gracias

Рано утром надо было улетать. На ресепшене попросили нас разбудить в 4:15 утра. Служащий все записал, пообещал. Хорошо, я поставил свой будильник - не то что не разбудили, вообще все темно и закрыто, я даже карточку от номера оставлял на выезде с территории охранника в будке!!! Слава Богу, я в аэропорту попросил таксиста, который нас вез в гостиницу, […] утром нас забрать. Если бы он не приехал, я даже уехать бы не смог! Все закрыто, вокруг ночь. Beim Sandyport Beaches Resort darf man keinen außergewöhnlichen Luxus erwarten, aber es lässt sich ohne Probleme ein paar Tage dort wohnen. Das Zimmer war größtenteils sauber, gut ein paar Haare im Bad und eine etwas in die Jahre gekommene Einrichtung haben nicht gestört. Teilweise ging auch das Licht nicht. Aber alles in allem waren wir (meine Freundin […] und ich) zufrieden. Die Angestellten waren absolut freundlich und hilfsbereit. Also wir können das Hotel empfehlen. Przeczytaj więcej

Hotell i utkanten av downtown. Nært stranden men et stykke unna det meste annet! Det var et par restauranter i nærheten, men de er dyre. Nærbutikk som gikk ann å gå til, men pass opp for biler, de tar ikke hensyn. Hotellet var noe slitent.. Vi var heldig å få rom i 2 etasje, det er mye maur rundt omkring! Vaskedamen var ikke spesielt hyggelig, ikke […] heller dagvaktene i resepsjonen, men aftenvakten var helt fenomenal!!!!! De har tennisbane og basketbane som man kan låne utstyr til.
