"A great apartment hotel in Lagos"
We stayed here for 6 nights in late October. It was definitely off peak and I got the feeling there was only about 20% of the hotel occupied. The staff were very helpful. The apartment was cleaned and toileteries restocked everyday. The spa, gym and indoor pool are part of a leisure centre which is part of the hotel complex and you just get a little […] token off reception to enter. I found all the facilities very good. there are internet kiosks where you pay per quarter hour, you have to pay for Wifi in the room couple of euro for an hour. The hotel is in a good location only about 5-10mins walk from a lovely beach surrounded by cliffs and about 10-15min walk from town centre. "Hotel Acqualuz, Lagos"
We stayed in the Acqualuz in early July 2011. The staff, service and quality of the accommodation were all first class. The hotel is a little bit away from the town centre but the walk is only around 500 metres. All facilities were good. Right hotel for a quiet, relaxing break. Entertainment was low key.
Stayed for nearly a week at these apartments, was a lovely place. we booked a studio but we were upgraded when we arrived to an apartment as there were not enough studios available. we went self catered- excellent facilities. there is no oven but the hob and microwave were fine. there was no kettle but we boiled water on the hob. previous comments had […] been that the pans were too thick and thus could not be used for pasta, but we didnt find this at all. there was a coffee making machine but we didnt use it. there was no washing up liquid so i would bring your own. previous comments had been that cups were small- they are a little but fine- just need to fill up more and there was a silver tea pot sort of thing which can be used. Went to town sometimes in the evenings for drinks. We ate out in lagos two nights- both excellent. Lovely fish. The room got cleaned daily with new towels and they gave shower gel/shampoo tubes at the start. the balcony was lovely and ours faced the sun in the afternoon/eve which was lovely to sit out in after day. excellent pools. never any problem getting a sun lounger- lots available. pool had a deep section which was nice as could dive/jump in. we never used the inside pools but we had a look, there is a jacuzzi and also fitness suite. you need swimming hats in the pool i heard. there was free wifi when you used the snack bar, which was great. otherwise you had to buy it. we got a voucher for a free drink on arrival which was nice too. The hotel is in a great location. about 10 min walk to town. previous reviews said very uphill, but its not that bad. we initially walked a long way round from town to the hotel by the coast , but found a faster way to town after a few days (ask the hotel staff for info)- its basically get to the spar and go straight on. "Decent hotel for the price"
Aqualuz was very helpful in making our stay a good one. My only complaint is the room could have been cleaner - but my standards are pretty high so most people wouldn't agree. The cleaning staff seemed pretty thorough and even folded some of our clothing, the floors could have used a good scrub and the bedding a little updating. The staff was friendly […] and helped us book a shuttle to the airport at 4:00am. We didn't actually get to use the pool but it looked nice and clean and there were lots of people using the loungers whenever we walked past. Very nice clean Hotel near all the beaches and Lagos town. Friendly staff, big pool. The only BUT was the internet...it did work but very veeeeery slow. All together a very good nice hotel....
"vacaciones en el aqualuz"
buenas tardes gente, he estado hace tan solo unos dias pasando una semana con mi novia en este hotel. la verdad es que ibamos sin ningun tipo de referencia y basandonos solo en las opiniones de la gente. podemos decir que hemos quedado muy satisfechos tanto por las instalaciones del hotel y la habitacion como por el trato del personal. estabamos en […] la habitacion "estudio" y la verdad es que nos agradó todo lo que tenía, practicamente no le faltaba de nada, la cocina tenía todo lo necesario y la habitación era grandecilla. la unica pega que le pongo es la comodidad del sofa y que el colchon era un poco duro pero se duerme eh!? la limpieza muy buena y el personal del hotel te aclaraba cualquier duda. para terminar decir que estaba muy bien situado, a solo 400 metros nos encontrabamos con la playa de "Dona Ana" (una cala muy bonita) y tambien estabamos cerca del propio pueblo de Lagos ( ibamos en coche a todos sitios pero sinceramente son distancias cortas). un saludo y espero que sirva de algo esta opinión. Bem organizado, confortável e com serviços complemnetres de grande qualidade (Health Club-Ginásio, piscina restaurate e bares). Muito orientado para famílias.
