Staff is great, facility is nice. If you stay here you must know that you are in the middle of the Gap. The music and merriment carries on till the wee hours. Experienced a Brit couple trying to invoke noise bylaws over the whole area......C'mon, REALLY? Typical Brits.

Quite a bit of noise until late in the evening due to street entertainment

Excellent value hotel.The staff especially go the extra mile to make sure you are happy. However be warned that there is an open air Karaoke bar opposite the hotel which can go on till the early hours! Otherwise it is very central to all the bars and restaurants.

hotel is at a great location just wish there was beach access

The hotel is in the midst of the action e.g. Karaoke pub , restaurants, other food vendors on the street, atm machine, bank, Internet cafe, small groceries, etc. The Karaoke pub is very loud though, so I woukd not recommend for someone who does not like loud music. I love the spacious 25ft pool, the beautiful ocean view, the birds that always pay you […] a visit when you are eating in the porch and the close proximity of the hotel to the main road for easy transport. The hotel will be ideal if they could reclaim the beach in front of them because there is no direct access to the beach from the hotel. Must say though, that my whole family enjoyed the stay there. Loved the people, the service.. the neighborhood was super fun and also very peaceful.. you can find both. Really nice service we arrived before check-in time, however, the receptionist had the room ready for us. The room was clean and with the most beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony. We had problems with the AC, so we just turned it off and opened the balcony doors at night, which resulted in falling asleep and waking up to all the tranquil sounds […] of the ocean. The service was really good at the hotel, both when we called about our broken toaster and when we needed new batteries for the TV remote controller, the maintenance people were in the room within 5 min. It was absolutely perfect. You had to pay a deposit for beach towels, however, that was a good thing because it meant that you could get a new towel when necessary and when we returned the towels at check-out, we got the deposit back. If you are looking for a nice hotel in the gap, you should choose Baywatch Hotel. The only problem we had was that the name of the hotel is not Baywatch Hotel, but South Gap resort. The South Gap Hotel is right in the middle of the St Lawrence Gap and convenient for all restaurants and bars in the area. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Major problem is that there is an open air Karaoke bar that starts at 9 pm every evening and does not stop until 2 or 3 am right opposite the hotel. The noise level is so loud that you cannot […] hear the TV in your own room and there is no chance to sleep before 3 a.m. For this reason I would not stay there again or recommend it to others. Spent a few days at South Gap, very ideal location to get transportation and right in St. Lawrence Gap with lots of activity. Taxis are right outside the hotel or just a 5 mins stroll to get a maxi or bus. Fell asleep to the sound of the waves crashing. Lovely view of the ocean. Wasn't impressed by the pool and restaurant so didn't make use of it, however […] room had a small kitchenette with cooker, kettle, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and all utensiles. Made my own breakfast and sat on my porch overlooking the ocean. Wonderful way to wake up. Staff were friendly and helpful especially the receptionist at the front desk. There was also a hospitality lounge where you could stay after check out at no extra cost if you have a later flight. And as a female travelling alone, I felt very safe there. We found the hotel staff ,especially reception, to be very friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities were clean and well maintained. Location was excellent if you want nightlife but can be noisy depending on the room. We really enjoyed our holiday and overall would return to this hotel.

the best and friendliest hotel and place we stayed all the locals are there too and the bars and clubs are in walking distance

I love the idea that it was close to every where that I wanted to go. It was right across from the lively scene and walking distance to Dover Beach. Do not be afraid just because it across from all the clubs, because security is really tight and they make sure that ur safety comes first . If you want a solid 2 1/2 star resort, this is the one for you. Rooms very clean, food decent, specialty restaurant fantastic but there is a charge for steak, lobster or shrimp. Bar drinks in plastic cups. Some entertainment every night, but no one there to enjoy. Not far from the Gap, so many guests would wander away for an evening out. The location of the south gap hotel is perfect because it's rt there where all the action is however, if u don't plan on partaking in the club scene then this is not the hotel to stay at because u can ear the music as clear as day while in ur rm. All of the rms have ocean views and views of the strip. So u don't have to leave ur fl in order to c what's […] goin on on the strip. The hotel does not have a beach but they do have a nice size pool. The hotel nex door does have a beach although it is small. Would def stay here again. Staff were cordial and professional. Сам отель находится на улице для развлекательных мероприятий - каракоке бары, дискотеки, рядом спортбар, много кафешек и ресторанчиков на любой кошелек. В 10 минутах езды от столицы - Бриджтауна и в 6 минутах от г. Остин, где по пятницам проходит фишфестивали - интересное зрелище!!!!

Nous avons passé un séjour du 11 au 22 août 2011 dans cet hôtel. Les photos du site reflètent bien l'endroit, la piscine est accessible de 7h à 21h. Un cocktail d'accueil est offert, le personnel est très souriant et efficace (recherches, appel de taxis, etc). La chambre contient TOUT ce qu'il faut: frigo, plaques de cuisson, four à m.i, etc...!Un garde […] de nuit assure l'entrée vu que l'hôtel se situe dans la commune la plus fetarde... Amazing hotel for young people who are not going to seat inside! Doesnt have own beach, the nearest is not far, in 7min by walk.

Hotel limpo e com bela vista dos quartos...O local eh muito barulhento (sons dos bares em frente) Nao tem praia, isto é muito ruim. Para ir a praia deve-s pegar um onibus (USD 1.00). Cafe da manha eh caro (USD 14,00 completo) com poucas opcoes. Custo muito bom para quem procura um local bom

This was my 21st visit to Barbados, and as I hadn't stayed at this hotel since mid 90's it was very exciting to come back. Though the staff was new to me they had the same friendly and serviceminded attitude as the previous staff. I got a studio 3rd floor (as per request) with a beautiful view of the Caribbean Sea. Unfortunately this hotel doesn't have […] beach access, and I really missed the stairs down to the sea which used to be there about 12-15 years ago... Otherwise earplugs are recommended, cause otherwise it's quite difficult to fall asleep before 3 am due to the noise from "The Gap". Das Hotel besitzt einen eigenen Parkplatz und liegt direkt am Meer, WIFI Zugang gibt es im Zimmer ohne Aufpreis, das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Zimmer sind sauber und der Kategorie entsprechend eingerichtet. Alles spricht eigentlich für ein ausgezeichnetes Preis Leistung Verhältnis, wäre da nicht gegenüber dem Hotel eine Bar mit […] Livemusik bzw. Disco. Die Lautstärke mit der hier gearbeitet wird spottet jeder Beschreibung, da fliegt dir einfach das Blech weg. Ich bin zwar einiges an Lautstärke gewöhnt da ich auch gerne laute Musik höre aber das ist der Gipfel. Also bei geschlossener Türe und geschlossenem Fenster (Terrassentür) liegt man im Bett und die Musik hat eine Lautstärke als ob man einen Kofferradio neben sich hätte der etwas über Zimmerlautstärke eingestellt wäre. --- UND DAS BIS TEILWEISE 3 UHR FRÜH. Also wenn Sie nicht gerade schwer hörig oder taub sind meiden Sie dieses Hotel und sicherlich auch die in der nähe gelegenen. Hotel corresponde com a avaliação de 2* 1/2, quarto recetemente reformados, bem limpo, cama boa e limpinha, muito bem localizado, para quem gosta de sair e perfeito, tem varias opções de bares e restaurantes nas redondezas,

L'hotel est situé à l'endroit "où ça bouge" à Christchurch. La vue sur la mer est fantastique et le rapport qualité/prix excellent. Le seul souçi est que la rue est extrêmement bruyante...jusqu'à 3h du matin. A déconseiller aux personnes désireuses de se coucher tôt!

Je tiens à vous signaler que je suis fort mécontent de cet hôtel que nous avions réservé pour 5 nuits : - Manque d’eau chaude - Connexion Internet impossible dans les chambres - Climatisation défectueuse ( fonctionnant mal ) - Mauvaise isolation sonore ( la porte de la chambre donnant sur une coursive extérieure côté rue était toute simple, avec un […] vide de près de 5cm entre le sol et la porte, digne de certains hôtels miteux du nord de Paris) - Le « très grand lit » de 1.60m seulement faisait une cuvette. Nous sommes arrivés le lundi. Le bar situé en face de l’hôtel fait KARAOKE les lundis, mardis et mercredis de 21h à 3h du matin. Je vous laisse imaginer les beuglements des gens éméchés des dernières heures ! Impossible de dormir jusqu’à 3 heures du matin, la première nuit. Il était donc impensable de passer deux autres nuits semblables les mardi et mercredi. Nous avons donc du dormir dans un autre hôtel plus calme Nous sommes revenus à l’hôtel SOUTH GAP OCEAN le jeudi puisque les jours de KARAOKE étaient terminés. Même si la musique fonctionnait jusqu’à 3 heures du matin, c’était moins pénible que les cris du KARAOKE sono à fond.
