"The Eagle Inn in Santa Barbara, CA"
Love it!!! Just be sure to confirm check in time as hotels.com has it at 2pm and the inn said it was 3pm. So we arrived too early to check in. The Inn is very close to State St., we had lots to keep us busy and they we'll hold your suitcases until check in. If you book a cottage, a lite breakfast will be delivered to your room, very good. "nice little boutique hotel"
We were on the last leg of a Central CA road trip when we stopped for the night at the Eagle Inn. The room was comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Great hotel, a few minutes on foot to sterns wharf, and state street. Other than breakfast being a bit late, and slightly different from what we ordered...the service was fantastic. I will definitely be Reccomend this hotel :)

Wonderful bed and breakfast - beautiful decor, comfortable, homey and close to shopping, the beach and wonderful restaurants.

This vintage Inn is well located 2 blocks up from the beach in a quiet area of town which is mostly residential or other Inns and B&B s. The building itself, (Or more accurately the buildings and grounds), are so charming, that I snapped a photo of the front of the hotel to share with my family back home. My room (Room #102) on the ground floor of the […] main building was directly off the small spanish tiled lobby, and near the breakfast room. The wooden staircase from the 2nd floor above, was just on the opposite side of my wall, so I did hear some noise of other guests coming down to breakfast in the morning. This did not bother me, as I had to be up by 8:00 am anyway, but if you want to sleep in, I suggest a room farther from the front lobby. The included breakfast is served in a small 10 table breakfast room which is very pleasant. The friendly waitress brings coffee, orange juice and a bowl of fresh fruit and then offers you the two choices of the day. During my stay, the 2 choices for breakfast were 1. A frittata with toast or, 2. Fresh yogurt with granola. Both were excellent. The front desk staff was very helpful with local activity suggestions and maps. There are not many restaurants within walking distance of this hotel as most restaurants and shopping are located on State Street. This hotel was very clean and has an abundance of charm. I have stayed a few times at the Eagle Inn while in the Santa Barbara area. I have looked in to other places in the area and found The Eagle Inn to be the best Hotel/Inn for me. The Inn is clean, comfortable, staff is friendly and helpful. The Inn is conveniently located within walking distance of State Street and the harbor. Rates are comparable to other places in the area but what you get is much better than what I have looked in to. As with other Inns and hotels in the area, prices go up on weekends and "high season." "Very Nice"
The rooms are slightly small. However, the location, staff and amenities make up for that. You can rent bikes to cruise the beach (for free). The complimentary breakfast was quite good and they have a large selection of movies to rent (again for free). I would definitely stay there again.

"Nice property but not well run"
This is kind of interesting for me because normally I leave comment cards for the types of things I will be discussing here. However, in something that was symbolic of the visit, when I asked for a comment card on departure the staff member at the desk first didn't know what that was "A comet card?", and then said they didn't have them and most people […] just write on Trip Advisor. So here I am. Doesn't seem very smart to me. The hotel is a nice property, but the rooms are pretty expensive for what you get. We only stayed there because it was one of the few places that was available on graduation weekend for UCSB. Anyway here are some specific comments, perhaps management will read them. 1) Desk staff needs additional training. When I was checking in with a prepaid room I had to explain this to the desk clerk as she couldn't figure out why the system wouldn't take my credit card. (I guess it isn't programmed for a zero balance.) Again when I was checking out I had to explain to a different clerk that the room was prepaid. Also they gave me the wrong WIFI key multiple times before they realized what their actual zipcode (the key) was when I pointed it out to them on their note pad. They were friendly, just not well trained. 2) The place has a vaguely disinfectant smell, which kind of reminded me of a motel 6 in the 80's. They need to look into what kind of cleaning products they are using as the rooms are actually fairly nice, but that smell just gives the wrong impression. 3) The have decided to be clever at breakfast and offer two special items each day rather than just offering the standard things that most people eat. On our day it was a kind of small quiche with store bought raisin bread, or yogurt with granola. (They did offer a nice fruit plate with that.) Kind of a funny response when I asked if they had bagels the woman working there said that Sunday was the day for bagels. I loved staying here- incredibly friendly staff, clean, cozy rooms, free bike rentals, great location and continental breakfast. This was our first stay at an inn rather than an hotel and we were surprised at the number of 'extras' over some of the hotels we have stayed in. The room was large and very well decorated. "Easy Ed Observations"
Room was comfortable and pleasantly decorated, tho not spacious. Receptionists were both informative and willing to help. Breakfast could have been a bit more innovative for a B&B. A reasonable value for the location.

we really liked staying here although at first we weren't sure about our room. It was the first room as you rounded the corner from the front desk so we were worried about noise but it was fine. "A little gem"
This is a great place. We had a wedding weekend here and it was fabulous. The rooms are great and the casitas are really fantastic. It was perfect for the entire family and wedding party. they were also really helpful and accomodating with additional personal touches to make the weekend special.

The Eagle in is in a neighborhood two blocks north of State St. (the main shopping restaurant district in Santa Barbara) and two blocks from the beach. Great room with huge in room spa tub and large shower with dual shower heads. Great for romantic get aways. We loved our short stay. No complaints.

This boutique feeling hotel is in an ideal location. Just around the corner from the Harbor and State street. The room we had was bottom floor Queen and it was 'cozy'. Everything met our expectations. We had a Deluxe King with whirlpool and fireplace which was very romantic. The double headed shower was nice too. The rooms are really well appointed. They even provided wine glasses and a corkscrew--nice touch. The bed was comfortable and had luxurious silky sheets. Un hôtel très sympathique qui change de l'accueil froid des grandes chaînes hôtelières. A proximité du bord de mer et dans un quartier très agréable, tout est fait pour un séjour agréable. Malheureusement pour nous, la météo n'était pas favorable, mais l'hôtel n'y est pour rien.

A nivel de calidad precio, el hotel es muy recomendable está muy bien ubicado cerca del mar y se puede ir a la zona de compras a pie. Dispone de acceso a internet gratuito, las habitaciones están limpias y bien ventiladas. El personal del Hotel fue muy atento. Volvería a hospedarme en el mismo hotel.
