It was a great value and a nice place to stay. Was close to the railyard but mostly you could only hear the noice when you were outside. I would stay there again.
The room was in need of updating and a good scrubbing. Althoug it was acceptable for a one night stay. Railroad tracks nearby made sleeping difficult at best. The price was cheap, however, I probably would have picked a different place to stay had I known.
"Not the best ABV I've stayed at, but not the worst"
I've stayed at a few different America's Best Value Inns in the last few years. This one falls in the middle of the road. The room was cozy...could've used another electrical socket though. Bed was nice. The shower was fairly short, and with me being short, it was nice, but it could be a problem for taller folks.
"Disappointed"
The description and photos are very misleading. There were flies and other bugs in the room. The shower head was held together with duct tape. The room had a filthy stench. The bathroom / vanity area was not even wiped clean. I booked it through hotels.com, but they charged me at the desk under a separate reservation--instead of through the website--so […] I did not receive credits for my stay. I live in LA, but am working in Barstow during the week for the next few months. I made the mistake of staying here one night. A mistake that I intend to never repeat a second time. Przeczytaj więcej
"Pleasantly Surprised"
We unexpectedly needed a hotel for the night and found this gem. The price was awesome and when you get a low price you also usually expect low quality. Not the case here. The room/grounds were all very clean and well maintained. There were actually 5 of us with separate rooms and all happy. Didn't get to use the pool but the pool area seemed nice enough. "Get what is called for."
A 1.5 star hotel, noise all night and the neighborhood is a hood.
The Receptionist was very courteous and professional. The room was clean and well kept..I would stay again at America's Best value inn..Please continue to provide the reasonable affordable rates for quick travel plans..Great job!
"motel in barstow-on the wrong side of the track"
the pics on the web were very miss leading, this motel was the type you see. in the movies about the seedy side of town. it taught me to look at the rooms before you pay and check-in
"Suitable hotel for one night stop over"
We stayed here on the way to Vegas. it was a convenient stop over to break up the drive. The hotel was clean and had a nice tv and was a reasonable price. The bed was pretty comfortable and overall the place was quiet and pleasant. The hotel was good for the stopover, but Barsow isnt my thing (boring and ugly). They also allow pets which is a plus.
