"Look Elsewhere"
No heat in the room. Condition of hotel was so-so. There are much better choices in the area for the same price.
"Not Bad For a Quick Day or Two."
The stay was ok room was clean, staff was nice but I guess we picked the wrong days to stay because there was a group of student from a Unirversity that just happens to stay right on our floor and Man did they Party like Animals.. Lol couldn't fall asleep but overall it was a ok Stay..
"Serves the Purpose"
Easy location for travel to Albany. Good for overnight stay. Hotel next door has restaurant and bar. 15 minutes to downtown.

Across the street from SUNY Albany & 2 1/2 miles from St. Rose. Convenient location, not fancy, but staff is very friendly & room was clean & comfortable.

I give this hotel a 3-star rating. Room is spacious, clean, and quite. The rate is a great deal and I would recommend this to others. I will definitely use Days Inn Albany SUNY hotel in the future.

"Days Inn Albany SUNY"
Cheap, clean, close - the three C's that dictate a good hotel. Directly across the street from SUNY Albany, and The Across the Street Pub. Great food, cheap drinks and best of all, withing walking distance of my bed after 4 beers and 3 shots of Jameson. Would highly recommend if you're in town for something SUNY Albany related.

"The Days in at SUNY Albany-room not clean"
After checking into our hotel room at 12 midnight, we had to change rooms because the room we were assigned was never cleaned from the previous night. Although the front dest changed our room, the desk clerk was not particularly appologetic. His words were, but not his affect. It seemed like we were bothering him to change to a clean room
"No sleep at this hotel"
The room next door was empty except for the blaring TV. Called the front desk twice between 3 and 4 AM. Finally the clerk came up to let herself in the room because no one was answering the phone or the door. Found it was empty. Suggested we ask for a refund. "FROZEN"
I had no heat in my room most of the night and the thermostat was on 90. I've stayed there many times so I'm not complaining, but the temp. outside was 3 degrees. I understand the economy is bad and you want to conserve, but before a reservation arrives at the hotel the heat should have been put on. I arrived at 10 pm. and left the next morning by 9 […] am. "Nice night"
Clean and comfortable room, a little noisy from a dog barking, but that really will not impact my next stay there. Front desk lady was a hoot! Gave me a good laugh. Internet is poor, but building is brick and steel.
"A good value"
This is a good hotel. It's centrally-located and convenient to much of Albany. The rooms are not large but they're sufficient and they're clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. It's a good value that I would recommend for a stay in Albany.

"Only if desperate"
Horrible. The check in desk area smelled bad and wasn't tidy or clean. The first room smelled bad too and bathroom wasn't clean, in fact, was disgusting; the bathroom in the second room was at least clean. The grounds were trashy. Only good thing was the proximity to I90. Only stay here if you can't find anything else.
the room i had smelled.the wallpaper was coming off the wall. and the ceiling tiles were coming down.We were meeting friends in town and were embaresed to bring them up to the room.We met them outside.

We paid extra for a non-smoking room but the hallway approaching it was drenched in smoke and the room itself was not smoke free. If my children were with me we would not have been able to stay that night. I told the personnel but they brushed it off.
"Hurricane Irene"
Lost power on Sunday for a few hours but we went to church a few blocks away and came back to the surprise of lights. It wasn't a total wipe out. The room was clean and neat. The staff was friendly. TV is limited but I came from Rockaway Beach and Mayor Bloomberg order an evacuation of the coastal area. I love Saratoga but heard it was hard hit. Glad […] I stayed near the University and got to navigate my way around. There was flooding on the interstate and we were restricted to going further south so we stayed in the room most of the time. "DAY'S INN ALBANY SUNY"
This hotel seems to be sliding downhill ... the breakfast has been downgraded to basically bagels, cheap sweet rolls, and cereal flakes. There was a cockroach in the bathroom. The bed clothes were cheap & flimsy. There was a lot of noise in the parking lot from teenagers in cars playing loud rap music, with a girl shrieking and laughing and screaming, […] apparently in party mode, but the sounds were disturbing and raucous. I have stayed at this Day's Inn several times in the past but this visit over the weekend of September 2-5 seemed considerably lower-grade than I had remembered or experienced on previous visits. Very clean, recently renovated room with very comfortable beds. We stayed in the west building, 2nd floor which was quite a distance from the front office, with no elevator. Next time would request a room in the main building. Perfect accomodations for a short stay!

The hotel is in need of updating. The hallways had a smoky smell to them and there was no pool or other facilities. The breakfast offered was pretty decent with an array of cereals and breakfast items. The neighborhood the hotel is in is not the best-although it is close to one section of UAlbany's campus-I would prefer to stay elsewhere on my next […] visit. "DAYS INN-convenient for college stay"
we stayed at the days inn when we brought our son to the area for college. We checked in very late and found the front desk clerk to be very accomodating. He brought us the rollaway bed we had requested within minutes! The was a good value for the money, we will stay there again
"Easy SUNY-Albany and Highway Access"
Main draws are very inexpensive and adjacent to SUNY-Albany and I-87 and I-90 interchange. This is a no frills location, but it is clean, with friendly service, and plenty of casual dining and other services nearby. Continental breakfast barely adequate. Perfect for quick visit to SUNY.

Now we know what 2 stars mean. Not a good place. Felt dirty, sticky, humid despite air conditioning. Only plus: good walk-in shower. Would never stay in a Days Inn again.

"Basic, clean, nice hotel"
Basic hotel for staying for not much time. Good hotel for sleeping and relaxing a little. Breakfast is short of being good but provides at least fruits, bagels, juices and cinnamon rolls. Overall would stay here again if its only to sleep and pass the time.

"Overnight with family"
We were on our way to the Cape from Michigan, so all we needed was a clean, safe place to spend the night. The Days Inn fulfilled all of our needs, and threw in breakfast! The room was clean, the night and morning managers were great (including putting an already made-up roll-away in the room for us -- we did not get n until midnight) and the next day […] when we needed to stop at a pharmacy we were directed to one right down the street! "Can't do better for the price"
I was in Albany to take the bar exam. Three negatives: 1. Had a bit of trouble getting the temperature to stay comfortable throughout the night, but it wasn't too bad. 2. If you need peace and quiet, try to get a room on the 2nd floor, as the sounds of people getting in and out of their cars in the parking lot and people walking around in the room […] above you can be a bit distracting. 3. Wireless internet. Come on, it's 2011! Signal was so weak we couldn't really use it in our rooms. Giving us a short ethernet cable is not really the solution, since we may have multiple devices, including mobile devices without ethernet connections. Luckily we were able to get a good signal from another establishment. But seriously, there is no excuse in 2011 for a hotel this small to not have fast, reliable wireless internet access. It's simple to set up and costs almost nothing to provide. Otherwise, service was stellar, room was very clean, breakfast food was decent, location is very close to lots of food/shopping options, beds were comfy and well maintained - no signs of wear and tear, spotless sheets and towels.
