We phoned the office to tell them we would be late. Come to find out, the office was closing in 20 minutes and we were still 2 hours away. The owners left us a key and turned the heat on in our room!! We pulled in just after midnight. In the area for a project that required us to work at night (and sleep during the day), we were very pleased with our stay. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet despite its proximity to a major intersection. Bathroom fixtures were new (nice to have the shower/toilet separate from the sink), bedding and towels very, very nice. Flat screen wall-mounted […] television with Direct TV was great. Furniture just a little worn but certainly functional and not a detraction from an immaculate room. Micro-fridge made up for no in-room coffee. Breakfast is very basic (two cold cereals, two juices, coffee/hot water, nice variety of bagels and good quality donuts/pastry, bananas) and worked very well for us. The staffs at some higher-end hotels would do well to be as friendly and as welcoming as these people were. We would stay here again without hesitation. I didn't have reservations for the area. We did go off season, so to take advantage of that, the owners are in the middle of remodeling some of the rooms. We were in town for a sports competition and just needed a clean room for sleeping. This place was perfect. Our room had been recently refurbished and was very clean with comfortable beds.
