Thank you to the staff & personnel at Vadnais Hts .... The staff was friendly, attentive, considerate and accommodating. The grounds were nicely upkept and the hotel was classy & clean. First time there but definitely won't be the last.

Friendly staff clean rooms good breakfast! We have been there for work for the last three weeks and have enjoyed or stay.

This hotel is overall a good value. The rooms and common areas are spacious and clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. The included breakfast was excellent!! Truly a cut above other hotel's continental breakfast offerings. Overall stay was good. The T.V. channels are very limited for the area of the hotel!!

BREAKFAST WAS A BONUS, ROOM CARPET LOOKS DIRTY, AND DIDN'T SMELL THAT GOOD, ALTHOUGH THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. STAFF WERE VERY NICE.

The hotel itself is very cozy. The lobby area was great and they had fresh cookies almost every time we walked in the front door. The breakfast was good. Traveling with 2 children, it was nice to have free hot breakfast. The kids were able to make their own waffles! The pool area was nice as well. The pool also had a waterslide (open weekends only) […] that the kids really enjoyed. The rooms was just ok, but for the cost I can't complain that much. The bed was very hard unfortunately, so my wife and I didn't get a lot of sleep. We did ask for and received a minifridge free of charge for the duration of our stay, so that was a plus. The worst part about our stay was the fact that the maid service was very untimely. The first morning she arrived at 10am. We were not ready for her to enter our room, and she told us that she didn't want to come back because she only had two other rooms to clean and then she was done for the day. So, we just took some extra towels and shampoo and tidied up ourselves. The next day, we made sure to be out of the room by 10am. We returned after some activities at 3pm and the room still hadn't been cleaned. Our kids were both napping by 3:30pm when the maid finally knocked on the door. Again, we were not able to have her come in and clean because the kids were sleeping. She gave us more towels, but didn't even bother to take away any of the old ones or even empty the trash. Again, not the end of the world, but by the end of our 3-night stay, we had overflowing garbage cans and about 20 used towels piled up in the bathroom. Again though, all in all for what we paid, I don't think we could have gotten a better deal anywhere. The location of the hotel is quite ideal. There is a great bar/restaurant within walking distance, you're conveniently located less than 1/4 mile away from 35E and you are an easy 5 minute drive from Rosedale mall. The people know what customer service represents. I find in my husbands and our travels, customer service is not a priority in a lot of businesses. The Country Inn and Suites is a place I would stay when I go back to the area.

We were on the first floor down the hall from the pool so at first is smelled a little musty when you walked in. The sheets don't quite fit the beds so they were coming off with very little movement. The staff was friendly and they had a pretty decent continental breakfast. I would stay there again but not close to the pool.

The hotel was clean and overall fine. However, a large choice is stayng here rather than other places was the water slide. It was not clearly advertised on the website that the slide is only open friday night until sundaymorning.....we stayed a thursday night expecting to use the slide but it was not open. We were very disappointed.

I like the hotel. Bathroom is clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good. 2 things to note: the smoking and non smoking rooms are on the same floor. I was originally given a non smoking room just 2 rooms separated from the smoking side. However, I could smell smoke once I opened the room. After requesting to change another room, I was given a […] corner non smoking room which got ride of the smoke. Stay away from non smoking rooms in the middle of the hallway. This room smells of mold. I should have demanded my money back. Please head this advice and avoid this room. It may have mold due to the watermark located in the hotel.

This hotel has non-smoking rooms next to smoking rooms. Our "neighbors" decided it was OK to smoke and leave the door to their room open to pollute the area. We complained to the desk and was told "they are in their room and smoking is allowed in their room". Also, not advertised is the fact that the waterslide in the pool area is open WEEKENDS ONLY. […] We arrived on a Thursday night with a 7 year old who was looking forward to playing on the water slide only to find out he couldn't. Pleasant folks and a nice breakfast but the bed was uncomfortable. The lower sheet would not stay tucked in no matter what we did. Even a note to housekeeping was to no avail. Overall the hotel has a good price and location when compared to others in the area. The bathtub had some long dark hairs in it that didn't come from me, the hallway noise was a little loud throughout the night. The breakfast and gym area were okay. The staff and pool area were great.

Easy to get to - allowed you to drive around city instead of driving through it. My blow driver & outlet in the bathroom was broken but they sent a new one up right away.

The hotel was very clean and staff was friendly! My sons loved the great waterslide in the pool area! The only thing that made the night a bad experience was that the walls in the room were paper thin. There was a group of people staying on our floor and they were in the hallway partying until about 2:30am. They kept my husband and I up. I couldn't […] call the front desk because I didn't want to wake my kids. I was frustrated that the staff didn't come up every so often to see that it is quiet. I've stayed at Country Inn and Suites before, and this chain is always nice. My only complaint is that the breakfast was below average, but I see that as a perk and not a make-or-break for whether I stay at a hotel or not.

The room was very nice and the help was outstanding.

It was not what we expected at all. There was no microwave or mini fridge, and they were NOT available upon request. There was gum on the floor in our room when we got there, and there were visible stains on the bedding. You have to wear wristbands to use the pool, and if you have friends in the area who you would like to invite to swim, you have to […] PURCHASE additional wristbands. friendly/helpful employees, pool area extremely clean & open longer than most other hotels. convenient to freeway & rooms were quiet.

Except for the nasty hair that was very noticable in the shower (NOT ours), it was a very pleasant stay. Quiet and (mostly) clean.

The only problem we had was that the sheets kept coming undone from the corners on the bed. They were fitted sheets, but just not big enough or something. We had reservations for one night, but we went back for another as the people were nice and the motel was so well kept.

All my expectations about the Hotel were met except one. My boyfriend and I were really looking forward to sitting and relaxing in the hot tub before check-out, but the water was colder than the pool was. Otherwise, it was very well kept and we enjoyed our stay.

We recently stayed at this hotel. The reviews previously listed do not give the hotel enough credit. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this one was just as great as some of the other extremely expensive ones. The slide was beyond cool for being an indoor slide, and the hottub was great too! The rooms were very clean and met our needs. The hotel itself is also very close to local businesses, restaraunts. We found gum in our sheets, the beds were not comfortable, and there was a domestic dispute outside of our room at 12:15, 2:00 a.m. and 3:58 a.m. only after the third time were the police called. It was not a pleasant expereince and when we went to cancal the second night we were still charged the full rate.

Great hotel -- enjoyed the quiet and comfort.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Motel very clean and kept up. Breakfast was good and area kept clean. Price was fair.Over all experience - good. Would recommend this hotel to others.

We were only here for one night but had great service and the room was really nice. The walls were a bit thin as you could here other people talking but it seemed to be a family hotel and no loud parties. The pool area looked great - we didn't use it but had we spent more time there we would have. As for the staff - no complaints. We had left some things […] behind and once I called them a few days later they were great in confirming that they had the items and shipped them right out to us. My wife and I needed a place that was easy to get to the Downtown St. Paul Area, Mall of America, the Outlet shops in Albertville, friends in Fridley and Friends in Centerville. The location and ease to the Interstates made it the best central location. It's close to a Walmart & a Target with many food places nearby as well. It's a little tricky to […] find in the dark the first time, but there are signs that point you directly to the Hotel. It's right on the Interstate, but even outside, you don't hear the cars. The pool has a waterslide, but unfortunately I wasn't able to try it out. The front desk answered questions about where to order pizza from, how to get my internet to work, and even gave me a free prize for adding them as a friend of Facebook. You need to get the prize! We paid extra to have the option of a waterslide. However, we didn't read the fine print that it was only open on the weekends. The kids (mine and those of others staying at the hotel) were quite disappointed. Our a/c didn't work unless we reset the thermostat every few hours (other guests complained about the same problem). The frontdesk told us to […] unplug the unit, but there was nothing to unplug. Since our room overlooked the interstate, we couldn't open the window to cool off either. The hotel associates were awkward to deal with and almost condescending when they learned that we booked through Expedia. They seemed helpful until they learned of our booking. If you are booking through Expedia you might not want to stay here.

The hotel stay was better than I thought. Country Inn & Suites was like Fairfields but for a lil cheaper price. But definitely met our expectations. We LOVED the pool slide, if only it was open for a longer period of time, that would have been a plus plus. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. We slept on the fourth floor and the hallway smell cigarettes - my room was Non-smoking but it smelled cigarettes.
