"The Hampton Hotel in Brownsville"
I like the friendly staff and a very clean place. Breakfast was really good and it is right in between a lot of shopping centers.

Was going on spring break and waiting too long to get a hotel on the island. The Hampton inn though was really nice and the breakfast was great. The drive all the way from the island wasn't bad either bc of the easy accessibility.

Shopping and several restaurants within walking distance. Very clean, staff is friendly, free breakfast is great.

The front -desk staff (ALL OF THEM) were exceptionally courteous and friendly and that courtesy and friendliness extended to the restaurant and housecleaning staff. I would ABSOLUTELY stay there again.

"Hotel in Brownsville"
there was construction while going to the hotel.. hotel was very clean, and had very nice service .. room was very clean and comfy.. only thing i had problem was the ac kinda made my body feel very icky.. but other than that i would definitely recommend it and i would stay there again..

great hotel, nice and clean,good and friendly staff,excellent location but the only thing was that at the time of my stay, the Expressway frontage road into the hotel was under construction and provided some nuisance for all. I'm sure that it won't be long before it's finished.....

"Family Vacation"
This hotel was nice, clean, maybe a little more than i expected. The continental breakfast was awesome, it was more than just muffins and coffee, there were eggs, bacon , waffles etc. For our trip it actually saved us a large amount of money. There were five of us traveling and having breakfast every day at the hotel saved me from having to spend money […] at a restaurant. Location was pretty nice, right behind is a best buy and a shopping mall, and then next door to the hotel is a chuck e cheese. The main disappointment i had in the hotel ,was the chinese restaurant next door! The front desk staff at night has a major attitude and I kinda wanted to tell him if he was so unhappy with his job to get another one, but we managed through that and the day staff was very nice. The breakfast staff was very nice and helpful showing us around, and helping the kids if they needed it. We traveled to South Padre Island while we were here and it was only about 30 minutes away. It was near the highway you take to get there, so getting lost wasnt a problem. The price for this hotel is much cheaper than it would have been had we stayed on the island, so that is what attracted us to this hotel. So glad we booked here, and if we go back we will likely book here again! Highly recommended for familes, the one bedroom suite was spacious, and clean, plenty of room for everyone , although the couch that made into a bed was thin and springy. "great location"
this is just off Hwy 77 and located in the midst of shopping and restaurants. About 25 miles from South Padre and minutes from the border. Room was really comfortable and clean and I enjoyed the staff. Really cant come up with any negatives.

"Horrible Hospitality"
This was the worst experience I've had at a hotel to date. The staff was unwelcoming and not hospitable at all. The greeter during breakfast ignored my family and treated us as outsiders. A guest service staff member wanted to charge us for not turning in dirty towels at the front desk while another hounded us for taking towels down to the pool side. "South Padre Beach Vacation Hotel"
We usually stay 20-25 miles from target location and have yet to be disappointed. We do this to avoid the high-use rooms and stay at much nicer hotels for much less because we do not mind the drive...less than 30 minutes to the beach!! Breakfast was great...actual batter to make waffles in a hot iron especially set-up with eggs and breakfast meats...hot […] and ready, plus the other norms you expect at a normal breakfast. The room was very clean and the staff was always ready to help...free paper in the AM and parking was very accessible. El hotel se encuentra cerca de restaurants, centros comerciales y tiendas departamentales. La habitacion es muy amplia, con todo lo necesario para una estancia placentera. Obtuve el descanso que deseaba ya que la cama y las almohadas son demaciado comodas. El baño estaba muy limpio y con todos los articulos necesarios para el aseo, tambien habia una […] cafetera, diferentes tipos de cafe y vasos. Las toallas eran muy afelpadas y nada desgastadas. Habia un escritorio con coneccion a internet asi como un sofa para reposar, microondas y un friogobar. La atencion fue muy amable y el desayuno estuvo muy rico en especial los waffles.
