The hotel has quite good location 5-6 stops from city center via S-bahn plus 3-5 min walk. This is a budget hotel but very well maintained. Our room was nice with 4 beds (!), one double bad and one 2 storey bed. Good breakfast but for better choice you need to be by 9:00 am. I recommend it.

We were visiting Berlin for 5days, and decided to stay in this Hotel. Althoe it is 2* superior, it has a great location, in quite a silent neighbourhood, and an Castle hill to see from 1/2 of the windows. The S/U bahn station is 5min away, and takes you anywhere you like, also there is a shoping center near, but we didn't need to visit this. Breakfast […] was rich and good, food was enught. The wifi is a must nowadays and was also available without surcharge. I would recomend it to anyone who doesn't need a luxury stay, peace and quiet, and a clean room to return to from the day. The TV was an older smaller model, but for the hour/two in the evening berofe bed was sufficient enought. Hotel staff very welcoming, most speak English and are very helpfull. Rooms very spacious. Breakfast very good although if there are groups it would be a good idea for the kitchen staff to set some aside for the other guests after 9am. It is only four stops on the Underground to the centre of Berlin.

We were able to reserve a family room with 2 sets of bunk-beds, and 2 double beds for my wife and I. It was just the thing we needed for our family of 5. We had been staying at other hotels in Germany, and several of them had us get separate rooms and were cramped and crowded. The room on our reservation at Citylight Hotel was great. Ideal location for public transport as hotel is near Gesundbrunnen for both U and S Bahn lines, so easy access to everywhere, also arriving in Berlin by train in Hauptbahnhof I was able to get a regional train direct to Gesundbrunnen which only took four minutes. The hotel is across from Humboltain park which is nice to walk in, and has an outdoor swimming […] pool, also opposite the hotel is a climbing centre. The hotel itself was very clean and my room was nice and quiet at night, even though there were groups of young people staying. I booked a single room, but actually got a four-bed room (for no extra charge), so had plenty of space. The shower was excellent, with a large cubicle, powerful water pressure and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included and was good too, and the dining room was large, so no problems finding a seat when it was busy. Overall I was very happy with this hotel and would stay there again. The hotel is close to U and S transportation - so it is very easy to get into the center of Berlin. Can recommend to buy 1 day tickets for the transportation. Ask for group discount. Excellent hotel, clean and comfortable. Short walk to the S and U lines. Several really good restaurants within 10 min walk. Even received a discount for one from the hotel. Breakfast buffet was the best of our 4 city Germany trip!

My first stay at CityLight was fantastic. Very clean, quiet and a short ride to the city center. There's a shopping mall and a market near the hotel, which is great if you forget to bring something with you or feel like grabbing some fresh fruit for the day. Unfortunately I can't say the same about my second visit. The room and bathroom were spotless […] as always - a nice commodity to have after a long day! And the staff very friendly and accommodating. However, this time around, it was very LOUD!!!!!! My first room was on one of the wings, which was located in the direction of the busy intersection. I asked for a room change and I received one with no problem at all. The staff was very friendly and flexible! What a relief. However, the walls in the hotels are apparently very, very thin - plaster walls - so if you get unlucky, and have loud neighbors, you hear everything they say and do. I was woken up at 5 a.m. because the man in the room next to mine was snoring. And, there was a school class with a bunch of teens staying at the hotel on that weekend, so you can imagine how much sleep I got! All in all, I guess it depends on how full the hotel is and whether your neighbors are considerate of others or not. I enjoyed my stay at the Citylight Hotel. The staff speak english and can provide advice on what to see in Berlin and use of the nearby train station / subway (5 min walk). The hotel is located in a good area with nearby shopping and places to eat. The hotel has internet but charges 1 euro for 20 mins. However, a internet cafe / call center is located […] nearby. Fine enough for a single adult traveling alone in that it was clean and had a fairly good breakfast buffett--but much more geared to youth groups. Unless you plan on joining in, ask to stay away from the rooms near the disco on Thursday and Saturday night. Handy to the underground (about 5 min walk) Parking available (a BIG PLUS!).Rooms are very basic but clean. Unfortunately this cannot be said for the common areas. Basic breakfast in what could be described as a boarding school dining room. High occupancy of school age kids. But hey, look at the price!Good value.

We were very happy with this hotel. The hotel is located in an accessible part of Berlin and easily reached by public transport. Take the U-Bahn to station Gesundbrunnen from there it is a short 4 minute walk. At Gesundbrunnen station there is a Mall with restaurants, supermarket, drugstores, snack stands and clothing stores....anything you might need. The […] area is residential. The hotel is clean and all staff was friendly and helpful beyond the expected. Breakfast was extensive, tasty and plenty - ranging from cereals, sticky buns, to various rolls, cheeses, lunch meats, jams fruit, eggs, etc. Breakfast is buffet style and you can go back for more if you choose. One word of warning....the hotel does accommodate groups of school children, so be early for breakfast. If you arrive last minute, the selection will be much less ample. Our room was clean and the bathroom looked to be newly renovated. Our room did not have a tub - but a nice size shower. Rooms do differ so check before you go. The interior of the hotel is basic but comfortable. No frills! Our room did not have a rug and there was no fancy furniture in the room or in the reception area. (We did have a TV and phone.) The hotel is listed as a "youth hotel" and you will likely find groups of young people in the hotel. We did not have an issue with noise but you can't miss all the students at breakfast and during the evening hours. We were there during an unusually hot period in July 2010. There was no A/C in the room and I would suspect it is not normally needed in Germany. We were able to open windows across the room and with the breeze outside were able to keep the air circulating. If you must have A/C to be comfortable - check before you book. In the basement there is a room for young adults to relax play pool and get to know others. We also saw a ping pong table. While the hotel was entirely decent, clean and well run, the staff weren't very helpful. I was expecting that they would be used to helping foreigners arrange tours and find public transport but all seem pretty disinterested in helping me feel comfortable in their city.

Stayed here for 2 nites in November 2009,great hotel good location near s and u bahn stations [4 stops to down town] spotlessly cleaned and functional room with tv {CNN news channel in English] Very comfortable beds ,Wifi available at a small cost but Skype calls no probs regardless of payment. Small well stocked bar and a games room down-stairs. A […] fantastic buffet breakfast was included in the room cost with had both hot and cold options served from approx. 7.30 am to 10 am. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful and were able to get irail/bus passes from them We opted for the two day pass in zones A B C which was about 15 euros each but this ticket also gave a various discounts to attractions in Berlin .There are various restaurants and coffee shops on the nearby main street and a very good Italian restaurant just past the station They have a secure luggage room if you need to store bags before flying home on a late flight The only slight niggle was trying to find the hotel at night. A quick tip ,on leaving the station look for the green holiday inn sign and this hotel is just behind the holiday inn So basically get yourselves to the holiday inn walk past its entrance and take the first turning on the right and the Citylight hotle is tucked away on the right. Zimmer für Familien (mit mehr als 2Kindern) gut, Frühstück Super und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten genug. Mit der Bahn gut zu erreichen. Alles gut.

Das Hotel liegt ziemlich zentral jedoch auch in einer sehr ruhigen Lage. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Frühstücksbuffet kann sich sehen lassen. In der Nähe befindet sich ein großes Einkaufscenter mit Anbindung an U- und S-Bahn in alle Richtungen.

Rigtig godt budget hotel. Beliggenhed tæt ved indkøbscenter og stor S bahn og U bahn station med forbindelser til stort set hele Berlin. Flinkt og imødekommende personale. Kan absolut anbefales.

Für Familien sehr gut geeignet: Großer Speisesaal mit Spielecke und umfassendem Bufett, große Familienzimmer, nahe Lage zur S-Bahnstation. Wir waren als 5-köpfige Familie sehr zufrieden!!

Hotellet er af en god standart til den billige pris, kan klart anbefales til andre, især grundet en god bellighed nær ved stort shoppingcenter og S bahn/Metro. Desværre kniber det med parkeringspladser og man er henvist til parkering på vejen, men det gode ved det, er at det ikke koster noget at parkere der.

Dårlig service af personalet ved check ind. Vi blev nærmest skældt ud.Hård talende, og temmelig ligeglad. Ellers rengøringspersonalet og de de personale ved morgenmaden var meget venlige. værelserne var ok. men vi sov overfor en stor bygning der havde tændt for lyset til sendt på aftenen.selvom vi trak gardinerne for kunne jeg f.eks stadig se og finde […] høretelefoner i min rygsæk i mørke. Fin fin der manglede lidt rengøring af bordene i spisesalen ellers alt ok

Das Hotel wurde sehr freundlich geführt. Die Lage war in der Nähe eines großen Einkaufzentrums. Dort in der Strasse weitere viele Einkaufs- und Speisemöglichkeiten. Zugang zur U- bzw. S-Bahn Gesundbrunnen nur ein paar Minuten. Interessante Besichtigungen vor Ort

Kvarteret er ikke værd at skrive om, men med 5 min til S/U bahn har det ingen betydning. Vi havde et familieværelse med en køjeseng til ungerne med gode madrasser (det gik fint med en 15 årig i køjesengen). Nyrenoveret badeværelse. Rengøring i orden. Rigtigi fin morgenmadsbuffet. Det var overreskende godt til prisen.

Rigtig godt hotel , som har det der skal være. Ikke super moderne , men hyggeligt. Flot rengøring .

Rent og pænt værelse, rigtig fin morgen buffet og god betjening. Ligger perfekt kun 5 min. gang fra Gesundbrunnen S- og U-Bahn station. Og gratis parkering og internet med i købet. Vil man ikke bruge sine penge på et luksushotel, er dette hotel et rigtig godt valg prisen taget i betragtning.

Dejligt hotel - ikke luxus men rigtig godt til prisen - havde et værelse med 2 køjesenge, så vi alle fire kunne sove i samme rum - meget venligt personale, og fin rengøring hver dag - kun få minutters gang til U-bahn - kan absolut anbefales.

Dejligt hotel til rimelig penge. Nemt at komme til og fra hotellet.

Fint og billigt hotel. Der er hvad der skal være. Rent og pænt. Morgenmaden er ok, men personalet er lidt sløve. Der bliver ikke fyldt op, og man skal spørge efter tingene. Bordene bliver ikke rengjort og kommer man lidt sent ned er alle bordene ulækre.

Preis Leistung ist OK

Grundet pris & beliggenhed, er dette et absolut anbefalelsesværdigt hotel. Så længe man ikke forventer luksus, så lever det helt op til forventning. Udemærket morgen-buffet.

Om man vill upptäcka Berlin och bo på ett bra hotell ska man bo här. Det var nära till en av de lite större U-ban och S-ban stationerna även ett köpcentrum i närheten. Hotellet var rent och rummet var rymligt med en bra frukost och trevlig personal. De hade även en reception som var bemannad dygnet runt. If you want to discover Berlin and stay at […] a good hotel should I stay here. It was close to one of the larger U-ban and S-ban stations including a shopping mall nearby. hotellet ligger tøt på metro. pænt stort værelse rent. fin morgenmad. god betjening. et godt rigtigt godt hotel til prisen. overrasket over at vi syntes det var bedre end nogle hoteller i centrum. vi har prøvet i forskellige prisklasser. kunne godt komme igen

Wir waren über´s Wochenende im Hotel und waren zufrieden. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig, das Personal nett. Der Bhf ist ein Paar Gehminuten davon weg so daß die Innenstadt leicht zu erreichen ist.Sehenswürdigkeiten sind auch viele in der nähe (Brandenburger Tor, Olympiastadion, u.s.w.) Prisvärt hotell! Inget fancy, men rent och snyggt, god frukostbuffé och nära till tåg och tunnelbana. Trevlig personal, dock dåliga på engelska. Rekommenderas!
