Homesteader Cabot Yerxa discovered the geothermal waters in 1913 while searching for potable water. Yerxa’s other legacy is the 35-room adobe mansion he built by hand. The home, now known as Cabot’s Pueblo Museum, is open for tours.

Ahhh, peace and quiet, no cell phones ringing, lots of space to wander. A hotel with history and charm. They are renovating and I hope that the new owners are able to keep the ambiance which makes this place what it is. Views of the mountains all around, away from city life, time moves as it should, slowly and wonderfully.
"Weekend at the Spa"
My wife and I drove up from San Diego and spent the weekend here relaxing in the mineral springs and having a massage. What a wonderful, relaxing place. This is NOT a place to come to be super active - it is low key, out of the way, and 100% relaxing. The most activity involved a yoga class and dinner.

Stayed here 21 years ago and decided to return for my husband's birthday weekend to see if it was all that I remembered--it is! A wonderful, quiet, peaceful weekend of soaking in the hot mineral pool, with a couples massage followed by the Roman bath experience. It was exactly what this tired, cranky, beaten up by life duo needed! It was even better […] than I remembered. MANY lovely photo ops, a great deal of privacy. "Two Bunch Palms says "Relax""
Left LA for a weekend of much-needed R&R. Two Bunch Palms fit the bill to a T. It was quiet (no kiddos allowed, which helped), the bed was comfortable, the hot springs were hot, the massage, while expensive even by hotel standards ($130 pre-gratuity!), was amazing. Probably the best I've ever had (the Swedish massage), though I've only had about 4 massages […] in my lifetime. KNOW THIS: There is a distinctly seventies vibe to this place. The fake rock landscaping around the grotto, the bathroom tiles, and general decor could all, in theory, use an update. But the reality is, they don't need to be. The beds, pillows, and TV's are all great. The customary bathrobe is dynomite. The only thing I'd recommend updating is the restaurant. The menu does not jive with the environment. But Palm Springs is only a 15-minute drive! This place is about preserving a way of life, and if you want to pay a premium for it, you can go elsewhere. "nasty place, horrible service"
even tho we got a spa suite room with private Jacuzzi and patio, we couldnt use those well cuz all the couch cover were dirty as hell. There were huge dirty marks on every single cover which look like a bloodstain. we asked 3times to change them and waited, waited, waited. Some guy finally came, i asked him if he could sit on. He said no. We asked him […] to show and let the manager know bout it, but no manager showed up for apology or anything. Moreover, when we called and asked before getting there if there were full kitchen so we could cook there, they said yes. We did all grocery shopping and got there. only microwave and nothing more. They said, they were sorry and would change the room or upgrade the room with same price. The manager took us and showed another private villa suite which looked really nice and clean. But we already waited too long. So, I said, i dont care the price, just give any room with full kitchen.(my parent were getting tired and hungry..) After waiting more, these people said, oh no, the room was reserved. there is no more room for full kitchen. haha. Three hrs gone. So the manager now showed us their the only public grill which was fully covered with web and dust. It didn't even look like working. ( The manager was not sure it would working or not either. ) We ended up going Kmart near this horrible place, got a grill and every stuffs and came back. Sitting on the ground instead of the nasty patio couch, we assembled the grill.... 5and half hrs gone now. The private Jacuzzi in the villa was so cold and we all went to bed with giant anger. The next morning, i hurried the checkout thing. The girl asked me how was everything. I said horrible and again explain everything. She apologized and called somebody and told me to wait for the manager or whomever. Waited again. Never showed up. I just paid some extra charges and got out of that place. "Special Place"
The Grotto and grounds at night are magical. I had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The restaurant is excellent. Great for a romantic weekend escape.
"Splendid Weekend"
My Girl and I had a great time this past weekend. We attended a concert while we were out there (Jesse Cook was Awesome) The room and the food were excellent. I give props to Angie our wine girl and Omar, who served us our breakfast on Sunday and made a great pot of coffee. We will be back without a doubt real soon. Big A & Little P

The hotel was really nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. They have great spa treatments unfortunately I didn't get have one done we ran out of time but the informed they have a day pass so you can use their pools and just come in for a massage. I cannot write enough great comments about our stay this March (2010). I went with three girlfriends to celebrate our March birthdays (the children stayed at home with their dads!). After only two hours at Two Bunch Palms, we felt we had already spent three relaxing days.
