"Had a Great 13 Day Stay Here"
I live in NYC, and I was in town working at the local clinic as a medical student and needed a hotel room for 13 days. The room was clean, spacious, and exceeded my expectations. There was a flat screen TV with full cable TV service; free, reliable, and high-speed WiFi; and a friendly and helpful staff who were even willing to receive mail for me. "clean"
It was clean and was fine. no frills.
Our room was very clean, and I would stay again at this hotel. Good value for the money.
"Nice clean hotel"
This hotel was nothing fancy but was clean and comfortable. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Was very convenient to downtown and local attractions.
"OK, but beware of cigarette stench in rooms."
Our group had 2 rooms reserved on our recent trip upstate. Overall, the hotel is located on a main road, easy to spot, with a spacious lobby & front area. The staff was very nice. One room was located on the 2nd floor and turned out great (room 208): a double with an extra sofa, spacious, with a mini fridge. The room on the 1st floor wasn't so great […] however room 120): it was another double (2 double beds), however no mini fridge or the extra sofa. In addition, it STANK of cigarettes, and we woke up with sore throats and bad breath as if we smoked a pack (we're non-smokers). We didn't unpack in fear of all our clothes stinking in the morning, and ended up having to wash my hair to get the smell out. We ended up having the window open to vent it out, and went to local Walmart down the street to get a scented candle - it only made the room cold and candle didn't do much to help. Beware that the non-smoking rule isn't enforced too much - if you're sensetive to smoke/smells, this place can be tricky. We don't think the price for both rooms should have been the same, as the quality of the rooms' comfort differed greatly. The only ice machine in the hotel was 'out of service' - they should look into fixing it, since it's the only one, and it was a slight inconvenience. Breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, english muffins, cereal, mini-donuts... nothing fancy at all - we ended up going across the street to Dunkin Donuts afterwards. Przeczytaj więcej

"Cobleskil Super 8"
This hotel was very clean, in a great location, and surprisingly quiet while fully booked. It is the best hotel in the Howe Caverns area. The sleeper sofa was a great unpublished perk. I was dissapointed with the breakfast, donuts aren't breakfast.
"Best looking hotel in Cobleskill"
I don't think there is a better place to stay in Cobleskill. Very convenient if you plan on going to Howes Cavern/Secret Caverns. I had low expectations of Super 8 and I was very impressed.
"Non-Smoking?"
The room was more than I expected in size, but the musty scent of smoke lingered. Thankfully, the room had opening windows for fresh air!
"Good place for a quick stay"
One of the few places around Cooperstown available during the summer months. It was, however, quite a drive (45 minutes) from Cooperstown. The rooms were very clean and well serviced. I was a bit disappointed that the room did not have an ironing board.

I wasn't happy with your internet ,because I couldn't connect to it for my business work that I couldn't complete while I was tghere visiting family and friends.

floors unlevel, lobby and rooms dingy, seemed to be clean on the surface but Very suspect. Nice to have a mini frig, coffee maker and microwave in the room. Old lumpy bed. Bath room small, floor was unlevel, breakfast was choice of sugar cereal, donuts and english muffins. I will meet your basic needs but not much more.
"NOT 23miles from Cooperstown"
The reason for booking this hotel was the distance away from Cooperstown which the site stated as 23 miles. I did not check this before booking and the room is non-refundable. Google maps and mapquest both put it between 32 and 37 miles (depending on the route). When we got there we found out that it was going to take us twice as long to get to a wedding […] that we were attending in town. It also put us much farther away from our friends and family that were also attending. Overall the hotel was okay. I feel we paid too much considering the location and amenities. "cooperstown"
the hotel is a little to far away from cooperstown I thought it would be easy to come and go for games but it took 45 mins. so we had to stay at the ball fields all day.
"Basic Hotel in lovely area"
This hotel was pretty basic, but it a lovely location that served as a base for exploring the area. We could not access the wifi in our room for 2 nights while there and our room was not cleaned the second night for some reason. The lack of wifi was inconvenient and we had to spend some time in the lobby accessing the separate wifi there. Breakfast […] was pretty basic. There's no pool. "Super 8 review"
The hotel was exceptionally clean - staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was sparse - a few slices of bread and two different types of cold cereal . . . you get what you pay for. The bed was VERY firm, the heater was VERY loud, and the walls VERY thin - our neighbors liked to have VERY loud conversations while they listened to VERY loud TV […] at 2 am and VERY loud country music at 7 am . . . I tried putting towels to buffer the noise under the adjoining doors, but to no avail. The white noise of the heater did help a bit, though . . . We probably could have changed rooms to avoid the neighbor's noise, but chose not to. It was good to come home and get a night's rest. "had trouble checking out"
The hotel is just fine for the price you pay. The rooms are adequate, the hotel is generally pretty clean, and it even offers a modest continental breakfast. We stayed there as a cheaper alternative to staying in Cooperstown during a Hall of Fame induction weekend, and it was clear that plenty of other visitors had the same idea. My only complaint […] was the check-out process. We had already pre-paid for the rooms, using hotels.com, but nevertheless, Super 8 wanted to charge us a second time for the rooms. There was no manager on duty when we checked out (on a Monday morning at 9am), so I had to call back on Wednesday to resolve the issue. It took about two and a half weeks of periodic calling, but Super 8 finally finished investigating the problem and agreed not to apply any charges from check-out. The worst thing that I discovered is that the credit cards that were billed for our room charges didn't even belong to us! Decent place. Room was spacious, bathroom small. Price a bit high for a budget hotel. Darned house alarm went off at midnight due to a faulty sensor and we stood outside for over 20 minutes. Apologies, but that was all.
"Good value and nice staff!"
Staff was really nice and cleaned a room for us early so we could check-in early since we had been up all night to get there. TV was not that great as it made buzzing noises on some channels but overall good value and clean room.

"Okay -- but uncomfortable bed!"
I've never complained about a bed being too hard -- until now. The king bed at this place was amazingly unyielding. By the early morning, my back was so sore that I couldn't find a position that was comfortable. Aside from this problem, the hotel was fine.
