The hotel is OK. Large apartments but the furniture is slightly worn. Not so clean... The staff is not bothered by ants. You have to handle them on your own. The cleaning is barely emptying waste baskets. Behind the terrace barrier there was something left by the previous guests. It was disgusting. be aware that some apartments have plain wall view. Ours had. We did not spend much time there so we weren't bothered. You have to pay for TV watching. We did not care. No free WiFi. It is quite a walk to the beach and even longer to the sandy ones. We had a car so it was not problem. On the positive side: LARGE apartment, fully equipped kitchen, close to the shopping center, nice pool, a restaurant and bar on site, quiet.

The island’s biggest and busiest resort has two very different faces. Along the beachfront is a three-kilometre long, unbroken strip of shops, restaurants and night spots. By contrast, the old port is a picturesque spot busy with fishing and pleasure boats, and overlooked by restaurants and bars, many occupying a lofty balcony position on the hill. Adjacent, the swish marina of Puerto Calero offers excursions by yacht, submarine or catamaran.

The hotel does as described exceptionally well!! The rooms are basic but very glean with good cooking equipment. The staff were all really friendly and helpful, we had a great time.

Good basic apartment. Great sea view. Pools were cold in winter and no one used them. Was quiet in December. Good location.
"Will book again"
Stayed in La Penita apts for one week. end of July. On the plus side; location was excellent, on a side street, my apt overlooked the gardens, was very quiet at night. The apt itself was very clean, the complex itself was very well maintained, reception/bar/cleaning staff all very friendly. Food in the bar was very good and very cheap. On the downside, […] I found it hard to get a bed by the pool most days as other guests had bagged the sunbeds by leaving their towels on them, I found this very annoying and definitely something the hotel manager needs to review. There were a lot of cockroaches in my apt too, they seemed to come in through the air vent in the bathroom. All that said, I would recommend La Penita and would definitely stay there again. Would strongly recommend Quintins in the Old Town, food excellent, more expensive than your average restaurant but well worth it, would recommend you book first. Przeczytaj więcej

Really enjoyed our recent stay at La Penita appartments, this was our second time to stay at this property and we will definately be returning. La Penita provides extremely good value for money. The staff are friendly and without hesitation carried our luggage up to our room upon arrival and down to a taxi upon departure.
