Location.
The Vincci Soho hotel is in the historic quarter of Madrid, Spain. 100 meters from the Lope de Vega House and Museum and 200 meters from Spanish Parliament, the hotel is surrounded by Madrid's attractions. The hotel is 500 meters from the Prado Museum, 700 meters from the Botanical Gardens and less than two kilometers from the Royal Palace. The metro station is 100 meters away, and Madrid Barajas Airport, 13 kilometers away from the hotel.
Hotel Features.
The Vincci Soho hotel, opened in 2006, features a subtle backlights in the lobby. The large windows overlooking the busy calle del Prado, are hung with loosely woven drapes and hanging crocheted lamps. Low velvet sofas are found throughout the lobby. Complimentary newspapers and wireless Internet access is available for a fee.
The hotel's restaurant, De Las Letras, serves buffet breakfasts starting at 5:30 AM, and a la carte lunches and dinners with Japanese cafeteria-style seating. A selection of drinks are served in the hotel bar that is decorated with metal butterflies. The hotel has four meeting rooms that offer business services. A central courtyard, with decked seating, can be used as a breakout room.
Guestrooms.
The six-story Vincci Soho's 169 guestrooms are decorated with black floral wall panels, dark wood floors and black satin bed throws. Room amenities include minibars and wall- mounted televisions. The ensuite bathrooms feature black slate with twin sinks, shower/tub combinations, bathrobes and makeup mirrors. Complimentary high-speed Internet access is available.

Sample dishes include Iberian Bellota Ham with Tomato Bread, Hake with Seasonal Vegetables and Crab Jus, and Venison Confit with Sweet Beetroot Puree.
Madrid's leafy Retiro Park (800 metres away) has a large boating lake, tracks for jogging, roller skating and cycling, boules pitches, and a sports centre with tennis courts and football pitches.

Musicals, hotels, shops and restaurants make the Gran Via a rich vein of entertainment, finishing in the east with the black dome of the Metropolis building. The heart of Madrid, the Puerta del Sol contains the statue of the symbolic bear of Madrid and Tio Pepe sherry sign. Westwards, the grand Plaza Mayor was once the site of inquisitions and executions, but is now mostly visited for its terrace cafes.

I couldn’t sleep well even after changing my room because the windows don’t isolate from weather and noise. The location is really good but the hotel comfort and the sympathy of the concierges are really bad. For this price, they should make an extra effort to satisfy their clients.

Very nice hotel and good location. Clean and big rooms. A litle bit dark and you could only use internet through a cable in the wall at your room. But down in the lobby they had free wierless internett.

Wifi is free indeed but not available in hotel room, only in hotel lobby. Never figured out how to make it work and reception staff was not enclined to help... Hotel design is cool and first look at the room as well. Second look and you spot that room finishing is far from perfect. TV remote was not working really well. Vincci Soho was a delightful find ... Upon a recommendation I stayed at Vincci over a larger corporate chain and was quite happy to have done so ... Vincci is very conveniently located near all three of the major art museums, at least two very nearby Metro stations, and the major Atocha train station, not to mention plaza sta ana and of course Puerta […] del Sol ... The service in the hotel was also quite pleasant - both the restaurant and the bar were accommodating and the food was of good quality ... Housekeeping services were also quite punctilious - respectful both of "Do Not Disturb" as well as "Please Tidy" door signs ... Wifi did not quite reach the confines of the room, but the lobby was frequently commandeered by wifi needsters, all respectful of the others' need for space and privacy ... "The hotel is in old town Madrid - close to tourism"
The front desk staff was not the friendliest bunch. Maybe the hotel is meant for people on business, but its location is so convenient for tourist attractions, it is a shame that the staff is not more outgoing about helping tourists. Excellent location and service. This was my second stay at the hotel within a week, the first room I had was located on the 1st floor and was better maintained than the second room on the 4th floor. I had an issue with the location of the room on the 4th floor, it was difficult to find. The hotel has been furnished with dark colours - and whilst in the evening it gives it a pleasant atmosphere, if you need light to see what you are doing then you may be frustrated. "Very good value for money"
A really good hotel only comment would be that the beds are a bit hard compared to the soft Marriott beds and that a little bit more soundproof would have been good. Otherwise I can strongly recommend

Great location. Clean, modern. Rooms face to outside street so there is lots of street noise all night and hotel staff was not very helpful. Almost rude.

Great location, but the hardest beds ever. Also not a good hotel if you want to work in the room, as there is no desk and chair. But free internet is great, and the service was helpful.

We had just arrived in Madrid and it was 8:30 am and they let us check into our room. I am glad we were not near the elevator because it makes a very loud bing everytime the elevator comes to your floor. The room is very modern and clean. It is a boutique hotel if you enjoy those. "Great location"
Hotel is a short (<10 min) walk from the Anton Martin train station. Two metro stops from the museums. Neighborhood felt relatively safe. A little late night noise not enough to keep us awake. Room looked like the pictures on the website and was clean and comfortable.

Vinci Soho is located close to many city attractions. 5 minutes walk to the Museo del Prado, 10 minutes walk to Reina Sofia, Puerta de Sol and Plaza Mayor. Vinci hotels are great hotels to stay in Spain, clean, consistent and cool decor.
