the hotel and the room that i was not clean I would not stay there again and i would not recommend it to anyone there needs to be more money put into the up keep of the hotel
"The place is a dump"
Shabby, noisy - a dump.

We had to leave an extra night to go home. There were bugs in my room. I went home and asked for my money back of the second night. TV Remote broke. Sink in the bathroom seemed to be falling apart. "Rodeway Inn, Palatine Bridge, NY-good basic hotel"
This is a good, clean basic hotel, near the Thruway and reasonably close to Cooperstown.
"Palantine Bridge"
Very Shabby It sounded like it would be nice, out of the way a bit but it was very run down. The internet had not been working for two weeks and there seemed to be an excuse for everything that didn't work. It is awaiting new management which I hope replaces all the dingy shower stalls, soon.

Hotels.com and Rodeway Inn advertised wifi; but wifi was, acc. to clerk, "destroyed by lightning earlier in the summer." Advertised continental breakfast consisted, so far as we could see, of coffee only. Room in barely useable condition, not very clean. Smelled of "perfumey" spray. "Trains!!"
The room was clean but needed updating very badly. The wallpaper was peeling and the tile in the bathroom was cracked. We were there for less than 24 hours and we heard 10 trains go by!

Room was small, beds uncomfortable, wall paper coming down, mold on ceiling, bathroom small and dirty. Hotel needs drastic renovations.
"Last Resort"
The only thing this motel has going for it is that it is truly in the middle of nowhere. I estimated that if I abandoned this room and went down the road that the next room would be an hour away. This room was filthy, the lobby was filthy, the towels were threadbare, The outside temp was 50 degrees and the heat did not work. I didn't think that hotels.com […] would list such rat holes. Strip style motel. Rooms were really dated. Could have been alot cleaner. The Clerk was very nice and as helpful as possible.

Good for an over night stay and a warm shower in the morning.
Smelly, damp rooms, creepy owners, moldy shower curtain, peeling wallpaper, poor repairs of 1950s decor. Long drive on narrow roads from Cooperstown.
"Close to mines"
Hotel is falling apart. It suited our purpose there. If there is another hotel with the same rates in the area....we won't go again.
"needs improvement"
The motel was further away from Cooperstown than I realized, so we found one in Oneonta. The motel needed some refurbishing, the staff was cordial and service was fine. Had it been closer to our ultimate destination, we would not have changed motels.
"Living Hell"
This hotel is a living hell. I practically selpt in my car. No Hot Water, No Air Conditionar, Firdge does not work, blankets are burnt with holes, Bed is stinking...I cannot explain any better. It is total waste of money.

The man who checked us in seemed very nice, but we would never reccomend this place to anyone. We had ants all over the rug and the bedside table - and we didn't even leave food out! The whole place smelled musty. They didn't even have an ice machine for us to use! "Dated rooms and sub standard rooms"
Our small room had a damp smell to it, the floor had soft spots where I suspect someone heavy could fall through, and the show made me wish I had brought flip flops. It also reminded me of the hotel in the movie 'My Cousin Vinnie' with the trains running by at all hours. Overall I was glad it was only for one night.
"You get what you pay for"
The desk clerk had a bit of an attitude. The location is scenic, up on a hill overlooking a river, but it also overlooks railroad tracks and there are lots of trains. The town is tiny with restaurant selection limited to McDonald's (at least it's new) and precious little else.
"Not Your Typical Holiday Inn"
This motel will show you that there is more to traveling than franchised hotels. This motel is a flashback to they way it was. It is old but not run down. Things are maintained, but you can tell they were done with frugality in mind. I enjoyed my stay.
