Hotel Splendid Cannes - Cannes

I was not at all satisfied with the service at this hotel. First, there is plastic lining the carpets?! Second, we were promised a balcony not a set of french doors that opened up into an air conditioner. Third, we were given wrong driving directions by the front desk. Fourth, this hotel has absolutely no parking and you should prepare to spend a lot […] of money for a parking garage a couple blocks away. Fifth, we were charged 30 Euros for a breakfast buffet that we didn't take. We tried to explain this to the front desk but we were told there was no management available and that we had to pay. As soon as we got home, we emailed the hotel about the $50 charge but we heard nothing. In my experience, the customer is always right and that is NOT the case at this hotel. DO NOT stay here. GREAT LOCATION, 2 BLOCKS FROM STATION AND OVERLOOKING BAY AND MAIN SQUARE. BEAUTIFUL OLD BUILDING WITH PROVENCAL DÉCOR AND VERY FRENCH AIR. HELPFUL STAFF. NO BREAKFAST EXCEPT FOR A STIFF FEE. SMALL BUT SWWET ROOM WITH A SPACIOUS TUB.

very outdated, shabby and run-down hotel, with appalling service. The front-desk (I won't call them 'concierge' because there were none of those services) just seemed to sigh and groan at any request - even as simple as warming a baby's bottle of milk. Great location, although this too was less than perfect, given the VERY loud and noisy nightclub […] at the bottom of the hotel. Given this was out of season, I dread to think what this is actually like in the peak. Everything else was a big disappointment. My advice - find somewhere else. This was a quaint little hotel right in the centre of Cannes. We had the attic suite, which had fantatastic views over the bay - only problem was that it was right at the top and the lift only went up part of the way, so we had to lug the cases up a couple of flights of stairs! the staff spoke english - so if your french isn't up to scratch, then no […] need to panic! We had a wonderful room - 210- that is newly renovated and has a cute little terrace overlooking the port. Loved it!

Bra hotell, men interiørmessig noe forfallent. Kunne trenge oppussing, men forøvrig rent og ryddig. Servicen er bra og betjeningen hyggelig. Glimrende beliggenhet dersom man skal feriere i Cannes, går ikke an å få det mer sentralt. Noe støy fra gaten.

Suveränt läge. Mysiga rum. Rent och fräscht. Vi bodde på gaveln och hade utsikt både över gamla stan och hamnen. Tyvärr ingen balkong. Gullig frukostmatsal med härlig frukostbuffet. Man kan även sitta ute på terassen och äta. Prisvärt.

Første natten hadde vi rom mot gaten, helt forferdelig med alt bråket, måtte ha vinduet åpent p.g.a.aircondisjon avga veldig mye støy. Byttet og oppgraderte til rom på sjøsiden som var helt topp, veldig god service av de i resepsjonen vedr. bytte og flytting av baggasjen. Hotellet anbefales på det varmeste for sin service og beliggenhet.

Hyggeligt hotel med central beliggenhed. Påregn støj fra gaden.
