We enjoyed our stay and time at the lodge. The kids loved the water park. Our only complaint was the sleeping arrangements. We had a total of 4 adults in the room and two were expected to sleep on the pullout sleeper sofa. This SOFA is not meant to be slept on. The matters is so thin it hurts your back. It should not even be considered an option.

Great Wolf Lodge was great for my 3 sons. The water park is amazing and the lifeguards were very attentive. I did think that it was very expensive and I didn't like being nickel and dimed for everything except the park. Meals, drinks, snacks...all were way too expensive. That being said, I would still go back. I'd just take food with me.

We came here for my daughter's 11th birthday. We stayed in the Kid's Cabin and I allowed her to invite two of her friends. The water park area was really nice and the girls enjoyed themselves. we go to Wolf Lodge at least twice a year. It's great to let your kids loose and pick them up when you leave :) with no worry at all! Lots for them to do, and for adults to relax...Internet connection is a little scarce, but they have a gym :) Places to eat around and a pretty good restaurant in the hotel. We love it!

A great place to celebrate a birthday and enjoy some major family time. Save your money for the 'extras' like the Magiquest wands and games, and snacks/drinks. These incidentals can add up quickly. When we asked our 3 children & 2 friends which part of our stay they enjoyed the most, 2 said the Magiquest game and 3 mentioned specific water slides. The […] waterpark area locker rooms, to change before or after check-in, are not very spacious. They could use a few extra showers/changing stalls. But service is good, and they provide lots of clean (smallish) waterpark towels. We went to celebrate our 10-year-old's birthday and she, her siblings, and 2 friends will surely talk about our visit for months to come. We stayed here for 1 night and 2 days and had a great time. The rooms were good, we did not spend much time in there. the waterpark was great fun.

We were pleasantly surprised when we pulled up to the hotel...what a GRAND entrance! We were quickly given access to our room @ 12:30 & our fun began. My children ages 13, 11, 7 & 5 LOVED IT, & there was plenty to keep them entertained. The waterpark was clean, lines were short & had a variety of things for all ages. The Magiquest game, although costly, […] kept the children running around in search for their "treasure". The arcade had plenty to do, & the staff was extremely kind & helpful. We brought our own food to keep cost down & limited ourselves to just the above mentioned areas w/ a promise to our kids that we will be back to try some of the other things Great Wolf offers...2 nights is more than enough to experience it all, as all the "extras" do add up quickly. Our trip was awesome, the water park and magic quest is perfection. We were on the 1st floor, however and our room reeked of a moldy smell, plus the dehumidifier was jet engine loud.

Got there at 1:30pm on a Sunday. Was told room was not ready and to enjoy the water park until it will be ready. Reservation states check-in is at 4:00pm. At 4:00 still no phone call on my cell that the room was ready. Went to front desk and was told room was still not ready and that 4:00 is a tentative time and that that you are NOT guaranteed to be […] in your room! Asked for manager. Manager waa very polite and put us in an upgraded room for no charge. Room was clean with a fireplace and second floor loft. Room had 2 beds on 1st floor, Jumped on beds and realized one of them was severely sagging in the middle. (room 4125 if your wondering). so much that you if you tried sleeping on it you would roll to the middle. At that point we decided we could get away with the ohter two without a problem. That was really the only negative to our stay. The hotel is alot of fun for kids, Magicquest is overpriced and the room prices are very high but I guess when you throw in the outdoor and indoor water park that keeps the kids busy all day it was reasonable. I saw some reviews that the food was bad. I was hesitant to eat at the restaurant but was surprised, I have to be honest, I thought the food was very good. don't know why some people gave it negative reviews. My son like it. Indoor pool is awesome.

We had an excellent time at GWL for a quick vacation! I will say that we 'upgraded' to a room with bunkbeds for our children. The wallpaper was falling down and it was in need of a paint job. Our room also had wet carpet when we arrived and a portable dehumidifier in it. Strange. Despite the hotel's quiet hours - we still heard kids running around […] 3 am. Need to work on sound proofing. Also - on "River Canyon" family run the electrical box seemed to need a cover. Overall the front desk and life guard staff was amazing. Almost like Disney World. We received a good rate from hotels.com and the kids enjoyed the stay. The major issue that we had was the kids running up and down the halls to play the Magic quest game-We had four kids and the noise in the hall and the running drove my kids nuts as well as my wife and I. It calms down around midnight, but starts back up by 8 a.m. I woulldn't recommend […] staying more than 1 night because of this issue. We had the opportunity to stay at Great Wolf last week and loved every moment of it. Great wolf lodget is a great family get away. Be cautions with eating at Jungle Jims out side of the hotel, very bad service, took forever for food to arrive. Water park is alot of fun for children and adults. I have a 2 and 5 year old who both had a blast! My kids loved it! My oldest claimed it was the best vacation ever! The water park was a blast & all my kids (including my husband) loved playing MagiQuest. We actually found no need to leave the resort, not even to eat or to get a Starbucks! Great Wolf Lodge is a great place to vacation with children. And through hotels.com it is well worth the money. I highly recommend it.

This was a fun place to be in the middle of winter. There was plenty for us to do and we enjoyed touring the town.

We have two girls, ages 5 and 7, and all four of us loved the water park. The lifeguards clearly take their jobs seriously, the park area is clean and even when at full capacity was not too crowded. It could have been a bit warmer, but it was good enough. The hotel, however, was not so great. The beds in our rooms, and the pillows, were hard and uncomfortable. […] There isn't any place eat on the grounds that isn't overpriced or inconvenient for families. And the food, when you can get it, isn't that great. Housekeeping was average, at best, even taking our towels away from us after the first day. It took talking to three people and FIVE hours to get new towels. What a joke. For the amount of money they charge, no matter how much fun we had at the water park, we will not be going back. We went for the weekend to celebrate my daughter's 13th birthday with three of her friends. The girls had an absolute blast and the King Room with a fireplace was absolutely beautiful. The only thing I did not care for was the price of the pizza from the Pizza Hut Express within the lodge. For two Medium pizzas, the cost was $28! This was our first stay at the Great Wolf lodge. We were unsure of what to expect since we have never heard any advertisements about the lodge and were going strictly on advice from friends. In short we were blown away by the whole indoor water park theme and all of the amenities, distractions, and amusements the hotel had to offer. I'll be honest...I really didn't plan to like this hotel and avoiding a trip here for years because the cost was just ouch for a family of five. However hotels.com had better rates than booking through GWL directly and my daughter had her heart set on celebrating her 8th birthday at an indoor water park. For a family of five to just go to a regular […] water park is not cheap...so when factoring in the per-night hotel cost for us and adding that to it makes a bit easier to handle. Travel party was a family of five (2A and 3 kids age 10, 8 and 6) and then another party of 2A who had their own room. Check-in was not bad at all and the front desk staff was very helpful for a first-timer like myself, explaining everything a few times to make sure I got it all. We ended up with the Kid Cabin suite which my kids just LOVED! Only complaint is that the tv in that little area is great for viewing on the top bunk...but not from the buttom bunk according to my kids. The room was clean and spacious, the beds were even comfortable. Loved the mini-frig and microwave as well. The water park was lots of fun and the air temp and water temp were warm enough for us. I guess I expected it to be a little bigger, having been to another indoor water park before, but there was plenty for the kids to do and the wave pool was a nice place to hang out since the lazy river was pretty small. My kids loved all of the slides and the lilly pad crossing area in the pool was one of their favorites. The adults and even the young kids tried the surf rider and had fun even if it was a bit rough and difficult for them. It was lots of fun to watch. There are so many activities going on at the lodge but since we arrived in an evening and left the next morning, we didn't get a chance to try anything other than the water park so I can't comment on anything else. Our first trip to Great Wolf Lodge and we had a great time. Our only complaint: not enough directional signs in the hotel. This may seem minor, but the hotel is huge and we spent a lot of time walking up and down corridors trying to find our way.

GWL is a great family destination. The cost is high compared to other hotels in the area, but included in your stay is the HUGE waterpark that is open until late at night and is only for hotel guests. It has something for everyone, and the highest demand water slides have lines that move pretty quickly. There are also arts & crafts for little kids, […] a cool elounge w/gaming & music for teens, and a spa. The food in the waterpark and at the on-site Pizza Hut is good and not too expensive considering. WalMart is also right around the corner. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Had a wonderful time. Would love to stay more than just one night.

I took my niece to Great Wolf for her 7th birthday. Between the waterpark and MagiQuest she loved it. (The animated pioneer boy in the lobby display kind of freaked her out though because it looked like his hand was on backwards). From an adult perspective - the beds were extremely uncomfortable. There was more to do at the Great Wolf than we even expected - the water park was great, but the kids also enjoyed Magi Quest and the other Paw Pass activities. Restaurants were better than what we expected based on other reviews. They were pricey, but there were also some reasonable family alternatives available. Great Wolf Lodge well exceed our expectations. The hotel was clean, our suite was very roomy it even had a fireplace and a terrace. We had two adults and two teenagers and had plenty of room in our suite. Bathroom was very large. The waterpark was tremendous, so much to do. They even had a teen center that stayed open til 11:00pm which kept our sons […] occupied. Would definately recommend to anyone traveling to Williamsburg. Maybe a little overpriced for all but it included the waterpark so we thought it was worth it. As many other reviewers have said, this place is great for kids. We took our 5-year-old and stayed for 1 night. We purchased the Paw Pass for him, which at this time includes MagiQuest, mini golf, a climb on the rock wall, a "free" stuffed animal, a "free" t-shirt/knapsack/pillowcase (choose 1), and the Gr8 Space (the only thing we didn't do, as that's […] geared toward older kids). The waterpark is included with the stay--and that was definitely the highlight. We spent 2 days there (day of arrival and day we left). We ate off-site. If you take a right when exiting the lodge, and then a few miles later turn right onto Airport Rd., this will put you on Richmond Hwy., where there are tons of restaurants to choose from (as well as the Prime Outlets to shop at). Overall, we had a great time and my son is looking forward to going back. My only "complaint" would be that the check-in process was long. We arrived on a Monday afternoon and waited in line to check in and buy the Paw Pass for about 30 minutes (not easy to do with an excited 5-year-old). I like that the water park is included in the price of the hotel. I like that there are also many other things to do especially MagiQuest for our 8-year-old son. Ideally, some of those other activities would be included in the cost just as the water park is. The MagiQuest wands and games can get pricy. With the Great Wolf Lodge you are paying for the waterpark, not the hotel. Both times that I've stayed with my family there have been some minor mechanical or cleanliness issues with the room. That being said, the staff are eager to please and will try to make it up to you if you complain. All in all we would return since the waterpark is fun.

This place is awesome!! My kids said they liked it better than Disney, and we stayed at a deluxe resort!! There is so much to do in this hotel. The waterpark is hours of fun on its own, but when the kids get tired of that there's the Magic Quest game that appeals to EVERY age; even my 16 yr old was getting into it. There's a teen club, with great music […] and games which is also fun, and an ice cream parlour. GREAT breakfast buffet and dinner buffet, and SO close to all the Williamsburg attractions. We booked a wolf den room, which was well worth the extra money. SO MUCH FUN! That staff was pleasant and friendly and extra helpful. The room was given extra attention every day. This is the perfect little getaway for families living in the Washington, DC area, espcecially those with kids. There is plenty to do onsite for all ages, and the indoor waterpark is fabulous. We were there for 4 days (my 7-year-old wanted to stay the whole week!) and only left the grounds twice to eat dinner. Overall, was very happy. The in-room wasn't working...back was missing and no batteries. Call the front desk, but no one came to fix it. Humidifier was plugged into an outlet that didn't work and the container was full. I had to empty and find another outlet before I could rid the room of moisture. Coffee pot broken. They know how to run a family friendly hotel/water park. Everything from the wristband room keys to the puppet and magic show in the lobby. It was a great place to stay with children.

This is a great place! Family all the way! You can't ever go wrong with a water-park in your backyard!!! They have these cool wristbands that they put on the adults - it is your room key and your form of payment everywhere down to the vending machines and arcade!
