Our main gripe about this hotel is that it really wasn't any different to a Premier Inn. Room was nice, very simple and nothing to shout about. Everything about the hotel was little different to a Premier Inn apart from the price. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but definitely not 4 star.

Lovely, new hotel. Good, reasonable food, however, too busy with theatre goers who were not guests in the hotel. Another miner issue I found was there were no shower caps in the bathroom. Also, no shampoo or individual soap. Just liquid soap which doubles up as shampoo.

Location great, Rooms nice and big, hotel food fab.. Could not fault this hotel..

Very pleased with everything in the hotel. The staff were good in every way. Very good situation if going to the Grand Canal Theatre.

Good place for the price. The gym was excellent, has a nice pub on the corner and a 5 minute walk across the bridge got you to another pub on a boat which overlooked the river. Food in the bar was very nice and a reasonable price (for Dublin). The entrance hall look as a 4 star hotel... until you see the room. At 6:00pm, there was many towel, cleaning stuff and breakfast plate in the floor hall. The room was cleanned very quick and found many hair on the pillow. Hotel ok, was not impress.

This hotel is lovely, the staff are helpful and friendly especially the cleaning staff always greeted us in the morning with a "morning" or "hello" and a smile, not just one of them but everyone of them we met, The food was great, the breakfast was lovely, My only fault was no private parking and an unusual smell in the swimming pool area as even my […] 4yr old son asked me what the smell was!! A good hotel, with nice facilities and well placed for theatre and the convention centre (across the river). Front of house staff could be more engaging, and there isn't anywhere on site to get low cost food (better to go to the pub on the corner) but overall worth a visit for Dublin central.

Just had a 4 night stay in this hotel and was very, very impressed with the friendliness/helpfulness of the staff, the cleanliness and size of the room and overall give the hotel 5 out of 5. But.... why do you hotels all feel you have to charge so much for drinks in the bar??? (just seen I'm not allowed to post the actual amount we paid) We would have […] stayed and drunk in the lovely bar all night, but we just refused to buy any more than one round per evening at that price. Had you charged a more reasonable amount, we would have happily kept drinking all night, as we wouldn't have felt cheated out of our money. In the end we went to the Spar shop round the corner and bought 2 BOTTLES of wine for the same price as two of your glasses. Don't you understand that you'd make a lot more money on your drinks if you just charged less? PLEASE, at least think it over! Facilities & service-wise, there is nothing to complain about. It is a comfortable hotel, clean, with full amenities, including ice machine, with free wifi in the room. Location-wise, it is quite far from the town centre, about 20 min walk or a 4.5 euro cabfare, so those intending to spend most of their time in town should consider staying somewhere […] nearer to the town centre (whether Temple Bar, Viking area). Set a rejuvenated part of Dublin but close enough to walk up the Liffey to all the city highlights. Check in was smooth, and staff friendly and efficient. Room on 6th floor was spacious and clean and we had a great outlook over the Conference Centre from our balcony. We stayed for one night while attending the show in the Grand Canal Theatre. The hotel is ideal for this, it was clean, comfortable, and ideal for our needs. We got a very good rate for a City Hotel (through Hotels.Com), and we paid in addition for our breakfast, we felt it was really good value for a Saturday night. The hotel was good, it´s situated close to the center, the Trinity College, and the Temple bar(15 mins walk). The room was ok, not too big, but clean, everything working and quite new. We were in the 7th floor, so we didn´t have problems with noises. However, when we booked the hotel they say that the room had internet free, hidromasaje, and that was […] no true. Also, people in the reception was not friendly, with the exception of the first woman who did our check in, and the same is true for people in the restaurant. on the contrary, people in the bar were really nice, as well as the cleaning ladies and people in the spa. We didn't want to stay in the centre as it was reportedly noisey which I can believe having seen the shennanigans that go in Temple Bar at night. The Maldron is short walk (10 mins) from the centre but it is a very nice stroll along the river. The bus to/from the airport stops just opposite over the river so is very convenient. The bar in the restaurant […] had a nice atmosphere. The pool/sauna/steam room were OK (the steam room was a bit stinky though!) and there was a gym but we didn't use it. We stayed in the Maldron Hotel on the quays in Dublin. It was close to a Luas connections just across the river about 200M walk. This gave us direct access to the centre of Dublin and also to both Connolly and Heuston Railway stations.We've stayed here before and found it suited us. This hotel was fine for us, a couple having a long weekend in Dublin, the first night, the bed was extreamly hard and uncomfortable but on complaining to the manager, we were promptly moved to another room. the hotel is clean and tidy, and the rooms are fit for purpose. i wouldnt call this luxury, but then at the price, you wouldnt expect it. the location […] is great, ideal for a walk into the city along the river but not too close that its rowdy and busy. ideal location in my opinion. plenty of things to do in Dublin, if you havnt been before, i reccomend a tourist book to point out the `must do`s` while there. all in all, brilliant city! I am satisfied with the hotel, in general. One complain I have to make, though, is when checking out I noticed that the meal that I had was being charged twice. The gentlemen that help me while checking out corrected immediately. I consider this just an error. However, the hotel restaurant has to make sure that these issues do get corrected.

The hotel is well placed and its only a 10 minute walk along the renovated quayside area to the city centre. The leisure facilities and food in the restaurant were very good and the staff were very helpful. We would return again.

Nice hotel with a location that suits me perfectly. Unfortunately the films on offer to download is a huge disappointment. 18 porn films and no regular films at all on offer. Would not bring kids to this hotel.

Easy to get to from airport - using Air Link bus (not Air Coach) - drop off at Convention Center 2 blocks away across the bridge. Clean, modern, well staffed hotel - fantastic spa, pool, whirlpool, steam and sauna - all free!

This hotel is marked as a four star hotel but it is definitely deserves no more than a three star rating. the room was fine but there was only one set of plug tops working and the iron wasn't working either. the location would be perfect if you are attending the O2 but we were attending the all ireland so it was out of the way and ended up costing us […] more money getting out of there and back. The staff were pleasant, the area ok. However, the bath room. Bath plug was stuck,shaver socket did not work, extractor fan did not work. In need of modernisation, not 4 star I think.

I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The service is excellent. I suffer from insomnia and I let the staff know I needed a quiet room. Unfortunately, the first room they provided was right beside a family who were playing the television loudly and the kids were running and talkng really loud. The front staff had advised me during check-in to give […] them a call if my room was not satisfactory. I called down and they told me to come down to the desk and they would provide a new room. The new room was perfect. It was quiet and spacious. The staff provided superior service. They provided tips on transit and told me which streets to take to meet my friend in Central Dublin. I loved the fact they had an ice machine on the floor. My recommendation would be that the hotel provide an ice bucket in the room. We spent 10 wonderful nights at this hotel and will definitely recommend it to friends and family. The hotel staff were exceptionally helpful and very friendly. Food was also very good, especially the salmon fish cakes.

I enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Maldron on the John Rogerson Quay. The hotel is situated in the middle of Dublins financial district with the IFSC and various Bank headquarters a stones throw from the front door. The hotel room was clean and comfortable. The staff were generally pleasant to deal with and eager to please. However, two things stuck in […] my mind that would need to be fixed to improve the service. On the night of my stay I was unable to have a drink in the hotel bar due to a rather loud and raucous private 21st birthday party being held in there. The bar was open to residents but not ideal for a quiet drink. Myself and other residents just got drinks at the bar and retreated to our respective rooms due to the unwelcoming and unrelaxed atmosphere. I am not sure whether such private events are a regular occurrence but I hope they are not. At breakfast the next day I found the buffet to be satisfactory but I found the organization to be chaotic at best. A large queue had developed at the door to be seated as there were no members of staff to be found at the front of house overseeing this. We stayed in the Maldron Hotel,Cardif Lane for only one night, we arrived before check in time but were able to leave bags in a locked room at no charge, then we went for breakfast which was a buffet, all you could eat for 10 euro, the food was lovely, when we finished breakfast some rooms were ready so we got checked in earlie, we booked a table for […] dinner as we were going to theatre (just accross the road) we had a lovely meal and I was we'll taken care of at dinner an breakfast as I'm ceoliac which was no bother to them! Breakfast next morning and again we could leave bags till time to go to airport. Comfortable, clean,quiet room. Good location only 10 min walk to the O2! Only minor problem : disappointed that breakfast wasn't very hot.

great location was attending concert in 02 about 10 mins walk. Good selection of bars and restaurants. But if there is a show on book a table for dinner. Carparking is a 5 minute walk and costs €10 over night get ticket stamped in hotel when checking out. Room service was great it a bit expensive but quality was good. Bathroom a bit small an a new shower […] curtain would be good. For a 4 star I was slighly but only slightly disapointed no individual aircon and towels were hard. No pen or writing papers in room. However, the remarkable staff pushes the value of this hotel up a few notches. Overall great stay at the hotel, the pool was great and the staff in the pool were friendly. We went to the restaurant and had to wait to be served. Even though they weren't busy I had to go up and ask could someone take our order, then I also had to ask for the table to be washed as it was still dirty from whoever was sitting there before us. Stayed at this hotel becasue we were attending a concert in the Grand Canal Theatre. It was perfect for what we wanted. Nice hotel, very friendly staff, check in was very easy, rooms very comfortable and clean. Could not find anything negative to say about the hotel. It is a perfect location for the Theatre.
