Great hotel but the food quality in the restaurant was not up to par. We were very disappointed.

The hotel staff were amazing; they let us change rooms since the room booked through Hotels.com was a 'partial ocean view' and not a 'ocean front' view. Everything was taken care of for us and we were treated very well. We stayed on the club floor with the free breakfast, rooftop pool, etc. I will absolutely stay there again this summer.

The hotel sells the rooms as "Superior Ocean view". Be careful when you book these rooms because "Ocean view" means you get to view 30% ocean and 70% street but you end up paying a lot more for nothing. You can probably get a better price at a different hotel with the real ocean view.

Great roooms and the staff is extremely helpful. The location is perfectly located next to Neptunes statue.

We really enjoyed our stay. We took advantage of the club level benefits. We enjoyed the downstairs restaurant bar and fire pit. We were disappointed that the hot tub closed at 10 p.m. but the room was very comfortable, the view was amazing, and the staff was helpful and friendly.

Enjoyed the hotel. Pool on top floor crowded with kids. To be expected during the winter season I suppose. Rooms were average. Nice view of the ocean though. Nice location. Wouldn't recommend dining at either Catch 31 or Salacia. Presented as two different restaurants but really just a wall separates them. Same food. Too loud at Catch. Noise spills […] over to Salacia. Salacia WAY over priced for what is average food. Tables are too close together. Not intimate at all. If you read anywhere that it is intimate, written by hotel employee. It's not. Servers were great but that doesn't make up for sub-par experience for the price. How can two average entrees and a cheap bottle of wine top 200 bucks? Go to Salacia and you'll have your answer. The staff and restaurant/bar/patio was fabulous. Best salmon salad I've ever had. Great ambience service. Highly recommend.

The advertised rate for the hotel seems to make it look competitive. However, when most other hotels of similar quality and cost are providing free Internet and free parking, the Hilton sticks it to you for these simple yet required services. I will not stay there again and cannot recommend it.

friendly staff and clean room made for a pleasant 2 night stay

I would highly recommend the Hilton Oceanside to everyone!! Great location, breakfast and staff!! We look forward to returning when the weather is warmer to just enjoy the beach!!

Very nice, clean, elegant, and comfortable hotel. The staff seems to be very interested in offering a good quality customer service. The first day of my stay I experienced a problem with my Internet connection in the room. They got me connected and then apologized for the inconvenience and waived the daily Internet use fee for the rest of my stay. The […] only issue that I observed was in hotel's bar and the Catch 51 restaurant. If you come late or if the staff decides that the kitchen should be closed early because of the lack of customers, they might offer you the restaurant menu at the bar and then apologize that the kitchen is not serving food any longer, or they might tell you that certain items on the bar menu are not available any longer because the kitchen just closed. One night I ordered a nice bottle of French wine (Muscadet) hoping to order food to go with it. Only after they served the wine they told me that I can't order the food any longer because the kitchen just closed. We arrived at 5pm at the Hilton (3pm check in). We were told that our room wasn't ready yet. There's no quick parking for loading or unloading, and even if someone is sitting in the car, they do not let you stay in front of hotel. When we got back at 7pm, there was no appology for the delay. We had to once again pay the 7 dollar parking fee.

if you do not mind spending a little extra. Everything was excellent with two small exceptions: hard to get to the parking lot and, for some strange reason, there was a bulldozer running outside the hotel on the beach with a really annoying beeper. We both woke up with a headache.

Any negative review of this hotel would only serve the purpose of making sure i can get a room when in the area again. The Staff at all hours were great. The roof top pool was fantastic and the restuarant Catch 31 was amazing. The only problem I had was with parking valet when I gave my ticket and even though I was 1 out of 3 people they forgot to get […] my car and I sat there for 30 minutes. I think the location for the hotel is excellent. However, the staff could not keep up with keeping the facility clean. My room was not cleaned till 5pm. I had to request that it be cleaned. The common areas such as the bathrooms at the pool area and the downstairs resturant were also a mess.

I booked through the Hotels.com for a better price for 3 night stay in August. I was somewhat disappointed by the quality of the room however. I had stayed other hotels in the area with lower rating at a lower price, and I was hoping the room in Hilton would be impressive, but nothing much of higher quality as to its furniture and decor. I loved however […] the amentities and location. Catch 31 and the steakhouse were two of my favorite restaurants in the area, and the shopping center is also upscale right across from the hotel building. For the amountmof money I spent on that room, it was ridiculous - my ocean view had a great view of the air conditioning condensers sitting on the lower roof. Skybar was a joke & upon arrival, I waited easily 20 minutes for a very "busy-looking" group of self important bar backs to look at me for a drink. Needless to say I left w/o a drink which was […] ok. I spent my money at another bar. I know I'm a little bitter but seriously - the nickle & diming was silly, but others around me looked very pleased. It was clearly not my day. The hotel personnel was excellent, the room was very clean and well maintained and the view was wonderful. There was no included microwave or refrigerator in the rooms which was very inconvenient, we had to pay $10.00 a night for a refrigerator. There was no laundry service on the weekends. I recently stayed at the Oceanfront Hilton for a few days the first week of July 2011. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The location on the beach was perfect. The pool area was small but very nice view from the 21st floor. When staying here, please go to Catch 31 for dinner. Food was absolutely wonderful. The adjoining supposedly 4 star steak […] house Salicia was horrible. Very overpriced and the quality was equal to your local Sizzler. Appetizer took one hour and food another 45 minutes. Both steaks were way overcooked and had to send them back. I spent over $250 on two steaks and one bottle of house wine. I have had better meals at Outback. Stay away from this tourist trap. The hotel was great, the bed was fabulous - best night's sleep in weeks! Next time, I will book a room with a balcony for the wet towels but other than that everything was super!

I was worried when I learned that a HUGE soccer event would take place the same weekend we visited VA Beach. I read some bad reviews about the service other people had experienced. We had the most WONDERFUL service! The place was so very busy but the staff was very efficient and friendly. Also, I had read some reviews about the rooms not being worth […] the cost, etc. etc. Our room was very comfortable and clean. It wasn't the largest room I've ever had but it was large enough. The over all experience was well worth the cost. The sky bar and pool on the top floor was just amazing! And, since you need a room key to get to the floor, it was no where near as crowded as the restaurant and bar downstairs. Very beautiful. Not only is the hotel new and modern and beautiful, you feel like you are in LA because it is so hip. We never left the immediate area on this trip. The Hilton has everything right there.

The hotel was lovely, and in a perfect location. However, the hotel appeared to be understaffed for the weekend. There were 2 weddings happening on Saturday, and when I asked for small ammenities for my room, or service, it took a while for hotel staff to respond. However, the concierge was fantastic. I booked an ocean front room but did not get one. We were on the 19th floor with special access to certain areas. Couldn' t get a seat at the pool for six of the days we stayed. Our room was not cleaned until after 5pm for five of the days we stayed. Preferred seating that we were supposed to get did not exist. Vacation was a total let down.

I've stay in many hotels over the years. I was somewhat disappointed by this one. The room was not ready at 3 p.m. as promised and when we got into it, there were fingerprints all over the sliding glass door mirror on the closet. And, the clock radio by the bed was broken. My husband and I enjoyed this hotel, it was very nice, we had the club level room, it was nice especially with the balcony view of the city and the ocean.

Cleanest and most awesome hotel stay ever in Virginia Beach! Customer Service is an excellent, you cannot get any better!

This is the second time I,ve stayed here and thoroughly enjoyed it. The first time was in the summer with everything open and lots of people. This time it's winter and fewer people and many things in the immediate area closed but enjoyed the beach anyway and the hotel. The staff were very welcoming and helpful in every way. Our stay was wonderful overall. The room was cozy and very clean. The shower was spacious. The bed was large and comfortable. The view was great even though we didn't have an ocean side room. We avoided the overpriced food and had a pizza delivered from a local domino's instead. We didn't get to see much else since we only stayed one night. After checking […] out, we made it across the street to the parking garage when a Hilton employee came running after us carrying the phone charger I had accidentally left behind. The finest hotel in Virginia Beach. The very best, you will not be disappointed. The Hilton's "Catch-31" restaurant is exceptional and has the very best service and seafood menu. Great wine list.

worth the money.Staff was always helpful and most importantly they were cleaning around pool area 24/7 , which made the stay very inviting and comfortable. Do not skip the Breakfast Buffet!!! Sooo Good( and not expensive at all! ! We will be back.:)

We thought we were getting an oceanfront view and in turn we did not. It was more a view of the wall of the neighboring hotel, and if you stepped on the patio and did a 90 degree turn, only then could you glimpse the ocean. The rooftop pool and bar were a nice touch. The bartenders should be given bar towels or encouraged to launder their all white […] clothes, because after each drink they made, they would wipe their hands on their pants/skirt leaving a lot of brown stains.
