"Bear Creek Lodge in Telluride"
Each room is decorated different according to owner. Our carpet was filthy dirty and the linens were old and stained. The people that worked at the hotel were very nice but when more trash bags or toilet paper were requested ( because room cleaning is not included) one bag or one roll at a time was delivered. "Major disappointment"
My husband and I wanted a get-away for our anniversary and booked a "room" at Bear Creek Lodge based on other reviews. I didn't realize this is predominantly a condo(?) and we were in fact, just booking a "room". The small room, while clean and comfortable, had no "ambiance" and felt like we were sleeping in a walk-in closet. There was exactly ONE picture […] on the wall (and a nail where I guess another was supposed to go). When we arrived, we had to ask for a second bedside lamp so my husband could read in the evening. (they provided one) There was no housekeeping service for our 5 night stay, but the front desk did give us additional towels (when we asked). The lobby did not have comfortable chairs for reading (if we wanted to leave our room) and the lounges around the pool area were unusable, as they were cushioned and wet due to the daily afternoon rains. Very friendly concierge, beautiful lodge, comfortable room; nice & quiet place to stay - we saw other lodges that seemed more like "party" around the pool environments, but we felt like the lodge was perfect for what we wanted - a relaxing getaway. We loved the close proximity to the gondola so we mainly walked, but it was nice to know we had the option […] of having the shuttle pick us up anytime. Rented bikes one day and rode them down the mountain trails to the lodge. We enjoyed that we never had to get in our car the whole time we were in Telluride due to walking, gondola & biking. I had great expectations of this hotel after reading the reviews on this website. The staff was certainly friendly, and the rooms were in decent condition. However, the rooms were very warm at night, despite leaving the windows wide open. Housekeeping was a little strange (taking the opened soap, but not replacing it, not cleaning the sinks the entire […] time we were there, replacing the towels, despite the hotel's request that you hang towels you were willing to reuse to save energy, etc.) Check out is early at 10 am, and the hotel refused to accomodate a one hour extension of the check out time, as the cleaning staff claimed it would not have sufficient time to clean the room by 4 pm. "Wow.. Very nice, relaxing Hotel..."
Increadabe Hotel, fantastic rooms, sweet pool and spa area, I could stay here forever!!! If you have tha chance, you will love this Hotel!!!
"Nice place"
Staff was great. We had a 1 bedroom condo that was very nice. Well appointed and very well maintained. Location in Mountain Village isn't the best for access to the village center, but the views more than made up for it.

Everything about my stay at Bear Creek Lodge was wonderful and memorable. One slight discomfort was no air-conditioning in the room. "Great staff"
All of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle service was also very nice, we didn't have to drive anywhere after we arrived. The room was very nice, however it didn't have an air conditioner and only had a small table top fan, so the room was a little too warm. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.
