"Luxurious and Dog-friendly"
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, breakfast was delicious, the staff was excellent, and Lulu our Boston Terrier approved whole-heartedly. We were referred to your hotel by a nearby B&B that does not take dogs. Boy, are we glad that they suggested we stay with you - We will definitely be back!
"Student housing all around the hotel"
Hotel was nice but dumpy student housing all around the hotel. Our room was right next to check-in so we could here people at the desk. Two weddings were booked so we were not allowed to use dinning room,court yard and the second floor. Our balcony faced an alley that looked into student apartments. "Excellent service, nice hotel, rooms a bit small"
The hotel is very nice, it has a great restaurant. My only complaint was the size of the room.. especially the bathroom. Other than that is a nice boutique hotel, fairly priced, well located near downtown in a historical building.. I recommend it.

"Great for proximity to U of T campus"
We were in Austin to see U of T and the location was very convenient. The room and especially the bathroom were quite small -- not a big problem if I'd been there with with my wife, but with my daughter, having a fully closed-off bathroom would have been nice (the sink area does not have a door on it). Room service was great, as was front desk help. […] Finding the front desk from the garage was a challenge. Only other complaint -- minor -- is that because the room is small the heater/air conditioner blows into the bathroom -- so the bathroom is hot/cold relative to the rest of the room. "Meh..."
Everyone has a nose ring. The check in counter is really just a big closet. We got room service and the server. When we asked for water she replied, "the cups are in the bathroom". The implication was that we should just get some from the faucet. Would not recommend. There are much nicer places around.

"3:00 Check-In and you pay for parking!"
Loved the hotel; however, we arrived at 2:00 at could not check-in until 3:00 and at 3:00 we were told they may not be quite ready. There just is not a whole lot going on outside of the hotel, other than a 7/11 some other fast food places etc. Then we had to pay for parking, which was also pretty odd. I booked this hotel for a work trip. While the surrounding area is not that great, the hotel itself was wonderful. "Good but not great"
Stayed here for a night due to a holiday party in town. Being that it was my first time in Austin, I wasn't sure of anything. Overall, it was nice but I didn't get the "ahh, I can relax now" feeling. This is a very nice hotel in a great location. Our room was one of the largest I have had in many years. Altho I did not spend much time in the room, it was always a pleasure to return. I loved the two bathrobes that were provided. I did not have time to eat at the restaurant, but I understand it is a fine experience as well.

Cute hotel that seems to be carved from a historic mansion. HUGE ROOMS! Good service. Locations is decently close to most things, but nothing is truly within walking distance. Staff is nice. Mansion is very pretty and the grounds on site are kept very nice. I would stay here again, especially in the summer time.

We had a great weekend stay at this hotel. Our room was very nice: clean, roomy, comfortable, nicely appointed. We were in a room on the North wing. The staff was friendly. The location was perfect for us, as we were visiting our daughter who is a UT student. Everything was within walking distance for us. After selecting to have dessert at the hotel […] restaurant, we regretted not eating dinner there also. The desserts were delicious and the dinner menu looked excellent with reasonable prices. "Lovely boutique hotel near UT"
Like a charming southern mansion preserved near the campus but not far from downtown, the Mansion at Judges Hill is where I plan to stay whenever I visit my daughter while she is at UT. The room was quiet, elegant and comfortable and the staff was friendly and efficient. I did not eat at the restaurant, but the patios in front and near the parking garage […] were both relaxing and nicely shielded from the street noise. I enjoyed reading the paper there and later peeking out at two weddings over the weekend. The areas were transformed into intimate and romantic venues. "Judges Hill"
The hotel is nice not really a hotel more of a bed and breakfast. Nice place to stay location next to UT campus is really nice plus the Capitol of Texas. Only problems were the room we had 106 was right next to the front entrance and you get to hear everyone come and go all day and night.

The pictures of the hotel on the internet are shot with great lighting and angles but exactly what you get upon arrival. "Short bed / average toom"
The decor of the hotel is very nice. The room design and decor was similar to the average hotel room with upgraded wallpaper and shower. Toilet/shower area was so small that you have to do a dance to get the doors closed. The bed felt small and very firm. In all, I think I could find a hotel in the area with equal value for much less per night.

The only thing is that you might not actually stay at "the mansion" . You might be put in the building behing the mansion which is not Mansion-like at all. Nevertheless the rooms are lovely and very clean. if you are looking for the "Mansion experience", specify that you want a room IN the mansion. Restaurant was good (at least for breakfast). Our stay was wonderful - the room was amazing with lots of character and just the right amount of classic decor to make it romantic without making you fearful that something might get accidently broken. The location is the only down side of the hotel - road construction makes it difficult to find initially and it is not walking distance from any of […] the Austin Sites that were on our to-do list...but the hotel staff was great with directions and helping us with taxi service for those times we wanted to leave the driving to someone else. We loved everything about the hotel except they gave us a room near the check-in desk. IT was literally right outside our door and we could hear everything. So, don't ever stay in room 111 or 110. Otherwise, everything else is great.

"Nice Hotel Stay"
This hotel had very helpful people working there. They gave us great options for dinner and sights to see. The hotel is just beautiful and very quiet. I would highly recommend anyone to stay there.

If you are okay with what you have then its okay but any changes there is always an upcharge. I reserved a classic room but they don't tell you that it faces a fence or the parking lot. Room was never cleaned on day 2. And the front desk automatically assumes that I had my privacy sign up (which I didn't) since I was out of the room all morning and […] early afternoon.
