What a wonderful view and at a resonable price. It included a terrific breakfast, great balconey view and plesant staff. I can't say enough about this place. five minutes on the bus and your at the gates of the old town.

The hotel was fine, only the air condition did not work in our room, so it was hot. We did not bother to tell the reception either. I am sure they could have fixed it, but it was no big deal for us.

Just returned from a fantastic stay at Hotel Kompas.As soon as we arrived at hotel we felt very welcome, the staff & management were very friendly & accomodating, even with our sometimes silly questions/requests! The hotel itself is located in Lapad rather than Dubrovnik old town, which meant that it took an hours walk or a 15 minute bus journey to reach the old town. "God beliggenhet"
Kanskje det eldste hotellet i området, men et godt nok hotell for oss. Sjekket litt rundt på 5stjernes i nærheten. Konklusjonen vår er klar. Hotellets beliggenhet er den beste av alle hoteller i området, god service, god frokost. Vi hadde et flott opphold, men see-view er et must!!

Vi var to vennepar ,som bestilte rom uten havutsikt. Det ble et sjokk å komme til rommene. Vi hadde trær, som nesten vokste inn i rommet, og det var umulig å se hvordan været var ute. Vårt vennepar kunne se litt himmel, men det var også alt. Vi fikk byttet rom dagen etter ankomst, mot betaling. Der fikk vi bo i 5 døgn, for så å bytte rom siste natt. […] hadde vi hatt "sistenattsrommet" fra starten, hadde vi ikke vært misfornøyd. Bortsett fra dette var det et greitt hotell. Hotellet var i sesongperioden overpriset i likhet med alle andre hotell i området. Med "overpriset" menes at rommet koster mer enn den kvaliteten man kan forvente på rom og fasiliteter, -i høysesongen. Fasilitetene ga et inntrykk av en miks mellom 60-talls og 80-talls stil, hvor et oppussingsbehov hvilte over bygning og anlegg. Dog et velfungerende […] aircondition anlegg. Kun en nøkkel (ikke nøkkelkort) til rom hvor man måtte evt. opp i øverste etasje (resepsjon øverst 9 etg.) for å legge den i fra seg. Badene hadde ikke baderomsinnredning, kun vask og en liten glasshylle under speil à la good old 60's. Dusjhjørne med plastikkforheng og uten hylle. Ingen eller små balkonger. Normal minibar, TV og greie senger. Veldig lydhørt mellom rommene, spesielt på badet. Betjeningen er hyggelig og servicevennlig. Maten er god, og rimelig. Normal frokostbuffet på hotellet. Samt at beliggenheten er meget bra, så og si rett på stranden, og i enden av en flott gågate/promenade. "Kompas är ett bra hotell"
Vi uppskattade hotell Kompas mycket under vår vistelse i Dubrovnik. Fungerande aircondition, vacker utsikt över Lapadviken med vackra solnedgångar, en frukost där allt man kan önska fanns, nära till badplatsen och strandpromenad, restauranger, buss som tar en till Dubrovniks gamla stad på 15 min, tom. ett litet badkar. Två av nätterna bodde vi i standardrum […] men vi rekommenderar att man betalar lite extra för balkong och havsutsikt. Det tillkommer också ngn turistskatt och jag tror ngt mer. Hotellet kan hjälpa till att fixa transfer för 300 kr med taxi, kostnaden las till hotellräkningen men det hade jag inte förstått så vi betalade taxichaffören 300 kr kontant också. Hotel agréablement situé en bordure de mer, dont la façade arrière donne sur une promenade piétonne. L'accès à l'établissement en voiture est un peu difficile car il convient de contourner tout un ilôt avant de pouvoir trouver la voie idoine. Mis à part ce détail, l'hôtel est idéalement situé car proche de la mer et des transports en commun qui peuvent […] conduire les clients très facilement sur les sites à visiter en une quinzaine de minutes. Ceci permet d'éviter d'utiliser son véhicule pour se rendre au centre de Dubrovnik où il est difficile de se garer. Har hatt et kjempekoselig opphold på Hotel Kompas fra 2.- 6. juli 2011. Rom uten utsikt, men det visste vi på forhånd. Hadde nok valgt et rom med utsikt over sjøen nå når vi har vært der og sett hvor flott det var ! Bra frokost i flott utendørs og innendørs spisesal. Koselig og imøtekommende personale, alltid høflige og hjelpsomme:) God mat også i restaurant […] Sedna på hotellet og bra service. Koselig bassengområde. Et hotell som ligger like ved en fin stein og sandstrand og gågate, og med buss nr 6 kom vi oss greit inn til gamlebyen på ca 10 min. Et bra sted å bo når man både ønsker seg byferie og badeferie. Restauranter og gågate på Lapadhalvøya og ikke langt til et livlig bymiljø med mer trøkk i og rundt gamlebyen. Dubrovnik var fantastisk!!! God mat, hyggelige mennesker og flott arkitektur. Et svært bra 3 stjerners hotell. Store og koselige rom med behagelig temperatur. Veldig god frokost. Det eneste minus var at det var et godt stykke til gamle byen og det var et lite stykke å gå til bussen. Men absolutt et koselig hotell med bra beliggenhet i forhold til bademuligheter, restauranter og utesteder.
