Pool was closed for the weekend. That should have been advertised on the site as that was one of the main reasons for choosing hotel. That ruined he experience!!!

Excellent location. Beautiful ambiance.Lovely gardens and history. The Continental breakfast fabulous.The room very elegant and cozy..It is a place to definately stay and remember!!!!. All the staff super friendly....great hospitality!!!! Close to downtown Delray and even hotel provide service to the beach.

The most incredible place I've ever stayed. The room was gorgeous, the gardens and ponds were spectacular and the staff was wonderful. A fantastic wedding night. I will go back again and again.

We live in Palm Beach County and stayed here for 1 night. Our room was amazing! The property felt you were 1000 miles away from home. The walk to down town Delray was so easy, we did that multiple times. The Sundy House is a fantastic get away!

Everything was wonderful except that the bed made a lot of voice with the slightest of movements.

We spent 2 nights at the Sundy Hotel and overall it was a wonderful experience. The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful. The room we had was nice. My only complaint would be that it was very dark and there was no bathroom counterspace so it was a bit awkward to get ready. Our air conditioning went out the 2nd day and they upgraded us to one of the […] 2 bedroom cabins with 2 floors. That was very much appreciated and I feel they went above and beyond to accommodate us. The cabin was awesome and I'd love to stay there again. My only other complaint about our stay had to do with a wedding that took place on the grounds on Saturday night. This was our first time staying at Sundy so we did not realize this was a possibility. The music was very loud but they did end at 11 pm which is hotel policy so it wasn't terrible - it's just that I had expected a quiet and private getaway and that didn't happen. When I stay again, and I definitely would like to, I will be sure not to schedule on a weekend if at all possible. We left on a Monday and it was much quieter all around that day. Continental breakfast is really good with several options. We did not dine in the restaurant but it was always crowded so I can only assume it is very good also. We had a fabulous stay at the Sundy House. From the street the hotel is fairly unassuming. But once you walk into its grounds, it's as if you're entering a tropical oasis far from the maddening crowds. Magical. Winding paths, bamboo groves, fish ponds. Very special. We did not eat in the hotel restaurant, though we heard it's very good (and the outdoor tables are so romantic). The hotel's location is great. Right around the corner from Atlantic Avenue with tons of outdoor cafes. Almost every restaurant had happy hours with half price drinks and appetizers. Definitely try Tryst on Sunday evenings for a fabulous blues band. Went to the beautiful beach every day. About a mile away, we drove, and there was metered parking. Very good hotel and uniquely quaint for USA. It is a boutique and rooms are excellent. Breakfast could be better to match the excellence of everything else. It is decent breakfast just not as good as expected.

We visited the Sundy House as a getaway for my wife's birthday. I wanted her to relax and enjoy our time there. The Sundy House is very quaint and although its actually close to downtown Delray Beach, you'd never know it. It's set in a tropical garden complete with waterfalls. The bed was very comfortable and the heating and air conditioning was effective and unobtrusive. We enjoyed having coffee on our front porch in the mornings. Because the hotel is small, there were not a lot of other people to interfere with the serenity. To get to the restautant, or to anywhere on the property, one has to walk through the tropical garden and we discovered many flowering plants, citrus fruit trees and banana plants. The pool is fresh water and actually contains small fish. I put my feet in the water and the fish were right there looking for food. Some might find it a little disconcerting, but I didn't mind it and, in fact, was intrigued by the colorful fish. The heavy foliage blocked the wind and we were able to sun ourselves on a rather cool day. We visited the bar a couple of times and had trouble getting service once. I think because there were not a lot of people staying there, the bartender was helping with other duties. One thing we enjoyed was the hotel's proximity to Atlantic avenue, the main avenue through downtown Delray Beach. There we found shops and restaurants and entertainment in the evening. It is a short walk to Jimmy's Bistro which is an enjoyable small restaurant with really great food. I should mention that the Sundy House has an elegant high-end restaurant as well and we enjoyed dining there too. The restaurant serves the continental breakfast that comes with the price of the room. It was a step above your average continental breakfast. The grounds are beautifully manicured and wonderfully relaxing to walk through, The ambiance creates the feeling that you are on a tropical island rather than in the middle of "Delray Beach." The Sundy House is situated in a lush tropical garden, the Horticultural and Aquatic Manager, Har, loves to take care of the garden and was a wonderful and knowledgable host on a personal guided tour. All staff was exceptionally helpful and pleasant! I will stay there again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sundy House. We were celebrating our anniversary, and this was the perfect spot. Martha, the front desk clerk, was very helpful and friendly ... very quick to meet our needs. The swimming pond is a highlight as well as the bed! I highly recommend this hotel.

The Suny House is one of my favorite places to go. It is tucked away from the commotion of South Florida... which helps us feel like we are on vacation. The rooms are great and the environment is outstanding!! We will continue to go as often as we can.
