"Homewood in Columbia"
Very nice hotel. Staff was great. Check in time was at 4 pm, we arrived early at 12 pm. Was given ideas of ( and directions to) restaurants to have lunch and was told to try back around 3 pm. We came back at 3 pm and they were able to get us in a room early. The room was great. My only complaint was the mattress was too firm for my back. My back was […] sore in the morning, but if you like firm mattresses, then you'll be okay. Their complimentary breakfast was awesome! It was more than I was expecting and very good! The biscuits and belgium waffles were perfect!! We had no trouble with the internet, which a big deal for us since my husband is in school online. We thought the hotel was nice. We have 3 small children and had plenty of space to sleep. My husband and I enjoyed the face that there was a separate room to watch tv from the bedroom. That way we did not have to go to sleep at the same time as our children. The breakfast was included with our stay. Extremely kid friendly! They even had make your own […] waffles. The only reason I gave the hotel a 3 star rating is location. It is between some car dealerships which makes the light coming in the windows at night very bright. Even with the curtains closed. This hotel is close to the zoo, it had a sofabed so my daughter had her own bed to sleep in, a full kitchen for longer stays. A DVD player so she could watch her movies, indoor pool and whirlpool. Very family friendly, hot breakfast and clean. Would definitely stay in another Homewood Suites.

Me and my family were pleasantly suprised upon walking into the one bedroom suite with 2 queen beds. The room was very spacious, tastefully decorated, and very inviting after a 12 hr drive. Beware - the hotel didn't inform us prior to arrival - even though we called and spoke with the front desk! On July 4th weekend, they had the pool closed for annual maintenance. We spoke with the front desk before ever booking this hotel and they never informed us that the pool would be closed during our stay.

We were able to get a great deal on this hotel. For the same price of a economy hotel, we were able to book with this great hotel. Front desk is very helpful, breakfast was as expected for "free" breakfast. Rooms were in an "L" shape -but very accommodating

Stayed overnight after a concert at Colonial Center. The kids were really disappointed that we weren't staying longer. They loved the hotel and hated that that didn't get to swim in the indoor pool.
