"Seemed pretty run down"
Great people and nice hospitality. But pretty dirty and the whole place seemed to be rotting away. I didn't expect the Hilton of course, but there is a low standard of not saying "Yuck" when you get to your room. Still. great price and for a one-nighter it's a decent value.

Three people made my stay there exceptional Jeanie, Otis, and Roni they were all so helpful, and friendly and in a genuine way. I have travellled for work alot. I have NEVER found a hotel/motel staff that came close to the level of concern for service and just plain old "friendly"
"Howard Johnsons in Beaumont - Horrible"
We went to Beaumont for a funeral and needed a place to spend the night. My brother-in-law picked this hotel on line, so we followed suit and did the same. This Howard Johnson's location looked okay from the website, but when we walked upstairs to our room, we saw that the water in the pool and hot tub was brown and opaque (apparently these facilities […] had not been maintained over the winter), there was a broken glass bottle on the stairwell and our neighbor's door was open - where we saw her sitting on the bed smoking (in a non-smoking room). The bed linens were very worn; there were two flat sheets on the bed because both of them had holes and the coverlet was thin and rough. In the bathroom, the toilet paper dispenser did not have the bar to hold the roll of tissue, so it was sitting in a hole in the wall. After looking at the towels, we knew we could not stay. They were worn, thin and a grey-brown color (they used to be white). When I went to wash my hands and dry them with a hand towel, the one I pulled out had a very dark brown streak on it that completely disgusted me. We stayed for a total of 25 minutes and left to check into a nearby Holiday Inn Express. Przeczytaj więcej

"Only good for short stays"
Hotel was ok for the price. The room was spaces. However, water from the sink faucet smelled and tasted gasoline. This was a major concern for me because I was wondering about that the shower water could be contaminated too. The breakfast was average. "This one is a NO!"
Friendly check in...BUT, the stairs to the second floor were not dirthy they were filthy! The room had been cleaned possibly as clean at it could be, but again, the carpets were filthy! The phone didn't work because the cord was broken. It's just a "don't do this one" unless you're working on a construction crew!

The HoJo was perfect for us. We were in town for a show and just needed a nice inexpensive hotel that accepted pets and wasn't sketchy. The staff was very helpful and the room was clean and spacious, especially for the price.

Very disappointed with house keeping. Moldy, bugs and dingy looking towels. If you stay here and need to get on the I-10 going east; go around the block and go out with a light.

This hotel has clean rooms, good service and a suprisingly good hot breakfast. Cannot beat this price for all that you get. Bed's aren't the "siganture Sheraton" but they are fine. For a quick night driving thru it exceeded our expectations.

While the convienence this hotel provided for our stay, I would gladly have stayed at any other hotel. The room had a king sized bed and a small couch hide-a-bed. I pulled the hide-a-bed out just to examine it. It had not been cleaned in months. It had food left from some time ago and the linens were soiled. "Very Good Value"
Let me start by saying I am an absolute stickler for cleanliness in hotel rooms, probably more than most people. My room here was clean, the linens were clean and fresh, and everything that's important was as it should be. There were a couple of minor issues -the TV remote didn't work and no replacement was available, a previous guest had spilled something […] on the TV screen, that sort of thing. No big deal, especialy at this price point. Other reviewers on this site have mentioned the surrounding neighborhood as undesirable. Perhaps they know something I don't know, but I saw no evidence of anything untoward. I would definitely stay here again, and I would gladly recommend this HoJo for any cost-conscious traveler. "Covers the Basics"
Convenient location, felt safe, clean rooms, needs updating, had all the little extras like coffee, iron, hair dryer, etc... in room. Included continental breakfast and had wireless internet. Decent room for the money.

We were visiting my sister who lives in Beaumont and the location could not have been better she lives just a couple of blocks away and we were able to visit without having to drive across town. The hotel staff was very friendly expecially one worker didnt get his name but he checked us in on the 5th, very pleasant and nice also helped at the pool assisting […] us with the whirlpool just a really nice guy. "You would be better off somewhere else..."
The staff didn't seem to have their act together and kept thinking that we were checking out even though our rooms were booked for several days. When we talked to one of the front desk managers about this, he became a bit confrontational and said that we had told him we were leaving (although we hadn't). The room quality, while decent enough, was not […] the best. But, we were more unhappy with the lack of customer service from the manager. The hotel was located near my relatives. There was easy access to shopping and restaurants. It was very quiet and the staff were very friendly and willing i=to help. I only had trouble with the remote control. Someone had lost the back so it was taped up. It did not always operate the TV. The beds were comfy and the shower was hot. "Rally"
For the price the room was OK considering it was a motorcycle rally weekend and I'm sure the rates were up some. The bed was comfortable,staff freindly, fridge in room big plus and microwave came in handy. Room was clean enough.

The size of the room and the fact it was 100 feet from the road with no in room noises makes it one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

"My Stay"
Thank You Howard Johnson for making this a great trip. The superior customer service started before i even had made it to Beaumont. My husband and arrived into town about an hour before checkin and i called the property to ask if our room was available. I guess the front desk heard the exhaustion in my voice and told me to head to the property and they […] would have housekeeping get the room ready. Again, Great Customer Service! "Huge double queen upgrade"
The manager was short on king so he upgraded me to a dbl queen and it had plenty of towels etc.
There was a mix up with our room we requested a non- smoking room we rec'd a room with loud smoke smell in it. We were transferred to Rm 110 it was fine but safety chain on the door was broken, but overall the stay and the room was very nice and clean. Thank You.
Hotel was okay for the money but the carpets and chair covers were badly stained. Sheets and bathroom were clean. Laundry room hadn't been picked up in quite a while. Lobby looked nice, large TV. Staff helpful and friendly.

This hotel is in a HORRIBLE area of town in Beaumont.....the king "suite" has a king sized bed and a "sofa bed"....the sofa bed is smaller than a love seat. The hotel room smelled musty We had to ask for pillows and blanket for the "sofa bed".....then I had to go down and get them...they would NOT bring them to me. The hotel room was clean and had nice space. There was a mini refrigerator which was good for the water and cokes. The only negatives were, no microwave oven and the TV remote was in the office which required a return trip to the office.
The rug in the room was old and need to be clean alittle bit of mildew smell but this could of been the A/C. Beside that it was ok. Thanks PS would you remember me if I use a HJ again and a better price....
