Excellent hotel in awesome area. Lot of restaurants and shopping. Rooms were clean. Beds were actually more comfortable then other Days Inn I've stayed in. Only issue was parking. But I guess it was bad because the hotel was fully booked that weekend
"Exceeded expectations"
Was impressed by the overall experience. Not just for the value, but the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel. Was expecting a basic no-frills place...got so much more. Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Would stay there again.

We only needed a place to stay overnight, while in town to view some property. Our room was enormous, as was the bed, more comfortable than at home. The free wifi was also a big help... Nice room, very roomy and comfortable. Linens were a bit worn, but room was very clean and the building was quiet and convenient.

My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the indoor pool which was enclosed in a scenic sunroom. Also, we found the hotel room to be spacious and comfortable. I find that the cost of our stay was reasonable for the amenities that are offered.

I didnt come home with bed bugs so Im happy. No extra hair on the toilet on in the shower. No blood in the sheets. For the price all was ok in my book.

Hotel needs a deep clean and renovation. The room smelled like pee because they are able to have animals and obviously they don't clean the rooms like they should after allowing pets. The shower water faucet was moldy as well as the vent which built up dust. Didn't want to touch the light switch because of built up junk that was left on it and wasn't […] cleaned. If I had a disinfectant wipe I would have cleanred it myself.That was just the initial finding. "David's get well stay"
We enjoyed our stay. My husband just recently completed his treatments for prostate cancer and I felt he needed a little treat so I treated him to a hot tub, pool and casino. He perked up just fine. Price was right and thank you.
"The hotel was very dated"
The hotel looks like it was very nice at one time. But it is severely in need of some updating. The carpets are old and much of the outside needs attention. In the general area on the first floor there was a lot of dust in plain view. Oddly , the rooms were pretty clean. a lovely spot to unwind and shower and relax. The only thing was a toilet seat that didnt fit the toilet so you kinda went for a ride a bit..but once you knew you managed. Loved that spot. Close to Olive Gdn and Red Lobster and all sorts. Thumbs up.

Our room was very clean & comfortable, and even had a small frig & microwave in it, as well as a coffee maker. So the room was very good. But overall, the condition of the hotel lobby and outside is run-down and shabby. The lobby & other common areas need to be refurbished extensively, and the outside of the hotel is a disaster - trash strewn about, […] chewed-up asphalt in the parking areas, limited lighting in the parking areas, and the worst landscaping we've even seen in a hotel. From the outside, you'd never suspect that the room would be so nice, clean & comfortable. The "breakfast" offered from 6:00-9:00a was very sparse; orange juice was diluted/watery. "Days Inn close to the mall"
Very nice motel, convienient checkin, clean non-smoking room although there was a slight smell of smoking in hallway, none in room. Elevator very quiet, had no smoking smell and seemed to respond quickly. Morning buffet was very inclusive only minor inconvienience was NO covers for coffee cups to take coffee with you. the price is right, the staff is nice, the pool is clean, the free continental breakfast was good...Only problem was it was evident that the room was not thoroughly cleaned as a bottle was in the window with cigarette butts and other items found under the bed. Also, in room coffee maker had finger nail clippings in it. Gross
"old hotel"
Our room was very dirty and smelled like old smoke. The carpet was filthy, there were stains on the walls, hair in the beds, and wooden pieces with nails sticking out lying on the floor. First " non-smoking room smelled like a 1950s bar room. The next room we got was ok. I wasn't pleased to have to pay extra for the cot I had already booked. It seemed like a scam to raise the rate.
This hotel needs to train its housekeeping staff on how to vaccum, dust, and clean bathrooms
"Filthy and Dangerous"
Our first morning while we were eating breakfast at 7:30 am, I allowed my son to go back to the room ahead of me. I followed 5 minutes later to find a room service man in the room with my son changing the sheets on the bed. Didn't knock, just used his key and let himself in. WITH MY SON IN THE ROOM ALONE! I complained to the front desk - a 7 30a,m room […] service call? Really? And he didn't leave when he saw guests present? Their explanation - a fake show of confusion and explained that the man didn't speak English. So that gives him the right to walk into a room unannounced WITH A CHILD PRESENT?!? Wish I could upload the photos I took of the clogged air vents in the room and in the bath. Or the photos of the window sill with chunks and crumbles of a sheet-rock type substance OR the toilet paper, folded into the cute little triangle with BROWN STAINS all over it. "Perfect hotel for this price"
Everything was perfect. Pool and hot tube cannot be better. But tv to old models.and will be better if pool on Sunday open early than 9 am

"Great stay for Steamtown Marathon"
This was a basic but very clean hotel. Very convenient for running Steamtown marathon. Just 10 minutes drive to downtown. The staff even got the continental breakfast out a bit earlier than the usual 6am to accommodate those of us looking for a pre-race meal. No complaints here at all.

Good location close to tourist attractions. The pool water was cloudy so we were afraid to use the pool. Breakfast had limited choices but was adequate. Overall, a fine place to stay for the price.

"Disappointing Hotel near Viewmont Mall, Scranton,"
The location near the mall and major restaurants is good, but the clientele, desk service, junky parking lot, and cleanliness/decor of rooms leaves a lot to be desired. This is a very out-dated looking hotel, and the general feeling is not one of feeling very safe outside the building late at night. (creepy-acting people standing around.) Our bath tub […] was filthy, the ceiling tiles looked like they were about to fall, the "paintings" on the wall were pathetic, the hair dryer didn't work, there was no iron or ironing board, etc. The exercise treadmill wasn't working. There was very limited seating in the "dining area." For the price, it was not at all a good value. Why do they have a "corner" on the market in this area?! "Not the best quality"
I booked this hotel by it's proximity to the course of the Steamtown Marathon. Upon arrival, I noticed that the hotel was not as nice as presented on the web site. After check in, my wife & I went to the room to find it reasonably clean, although the Jacuzzi tub appeared not the cleanest. We stopped at a local store and purchased supplies to clean it. […] After cleaning we filled it, and found half of the jets inoperative. No big deal, but the general condition s of disrepair in all the hotel gave us the impression that it is not cared for in a manner that someone would take pride in a business. The staff on duty the following morning at the desk and for breakfast, were very friendly and helpful, answering questions and helping us with directions. After staying there, it is hard to recommend it to any of my friends or colleagues. It is certainly not the worst place that I have stayed, but it falls far short of being a place that is worthy of the price that we paid to staay there. "No Smoking room is a joke"
My family and I stayed here as a layover on a long drive to upstate NY. We had booked a non-smoking room, and while the entire floor was labeled non-smoking, apparently that was recent because the room reeked of stale smoke in the walls, the beds ,everything, and our clothes smelled like smoke the next day. "Scranton Hotel"
Very creepy location with attached bar not helping. Couldn't care less attitude seems to be the hotel vibe.
"Great Value for the Price"
Hotel is very conveniently located. Close to many restaurants, and shopping areas. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable.
While the rooms were comfortable enough, we found the bathrooms to be dirty and unsanitary. There were pubic hairs on the toilet seat and hairs on the floor.The bathroom floor definitely needed a good scrubbing.

Enjoyed our stay here. Saved some money off of the price of the hotel for booking online. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. There was a pool, jacuzzi and game room. Very nice amenities for the price of the room. If I was ever stranded in Scranton Pa again I would definitely stay at this hotel.
