bardzo dobry hotelik... mozno palic w pokoju jak sie odtworze okno.... najbliszy cofeshop SIXT 200m od hotelu.... idealna atmosfera....

Its a place i would go back if i ever go back to Amsterdam. The Price is cheap and the hotel is very good. the staff are very friendly. Nothings too far. Coffee Shops, Clubs and the red light district. everything is walking distance. The only bad things i can say about the hotel is the stairways lol nothing else really. I dont know why it has 2*.

the hotel is located at a good area, the closed tram station is only 5 mins, but need to check to the map before. as if only traced by the street name, u might got some incorrect info (i.e. we got off the tram at street nbr 700, but the real nbr was 1051, we walked 30+ mins for moving to the hotel. in general the hotel is clean and tidy with good view […] fm the room, and the staff are nice & helpful. the walls are really thin, you can hear everything what happens in hallway. rooms are really small but clean and the beds are nice too. the location is exelent, you can walk everywhere and the area is really nice.

Great location, helpful & friendly staff, clean hotel. Only downside is size of bathrooms, ridiculously small....basin is in shower....very pokey & a little stinky, there was something wrong with the toilet!

Not super fine, a bit things broken and hanging. In my single room no door in toilet. But, over all compared to price just OK. I slept only few hours there and for that purpose perfect choice. If you are looking for hotel quality as in Finland select some other hotel. Service and personnel nice and familiar. Simple but good breakfast.

Excellent value for the money. Great location. Staff very nice. Room clean. Steep stairs to the room. Not an issue if you're young or adventurous. Realized when I got there that I had stayed before and would stay again. Very satisfied. Thank you.

We booked a room with a private bath--it was pretty small considering the price, but the location was good and we were within walking distance of The Van Gogh Museum, had easy access to the tram and enjoyed the window view of the houseboats on the canal below us.

We stayed at the ITC Hotel for 3 nights and enjoyed it; however, you must understand that is is very small. Rooms are tiny and most require shared restroom facilities. Stairs are steep and narrow. You are paying for the location (South Amsterdam). It's a 5 - 20 min walk just about anywhere; but I recommend renting a bike.

Excellent location and good value for money - highly recommended.

I was disappointed that we had to stay in a room in a different building the first two nights because the hotel had overbooked. Then, on Queens Day, the hotel allowed partiers outside to pay to use our bathrooms in the hallways (no en-suite bathroom), so I had to wait in line behind a dozen people who were not staying in the hotel to use our bathroom, […] partiers were using the shower stalls to urinate, and I thought it was a security threat to have hundreds of strangers throughout the day freely allowed to roam right outside of our room. That being said, the hotel was the least expensive that we had found for the accomodations, so I would have to not entirely rule it out for future stay if cost was my primary concern. Very nice hotel and helpful kind staff. Location was prefect for me walking distance to museums and activities I was interested in visiting. A charming European style property.

I needed an early breakfast before my meetings, but they did not open before 9 am. This is probably an ok hotel if you are here to party or easy going holiday, but not convenient for a business related stay.

Good location, but the rooms are noisy, small and it's a bit run-down. It's not a roach-motel, or at least I didn't see any signs of any, but it was about as basic as you could get. Free internet, at least.

I had the most wonderful experience in Amsterdam, and at ITC Hotel! We stayed in the second building (just across the street,) and thought it was perfect. The location is amazing. You are literally in the best neighborhood of Amsterdam, within walking distance to gorgeous restaurants, small cafes and pubs, and more energetic party areas, as well. The […] room was small - so, if you are an American not accustomed to European travel, you will be shocked. Europeans probably won't think it is too small. It was perfect for my friend and myself. The shared bath was clean and had strong hot water. Plus, our window overlooked the beatiful Prinsengracht Canal. Lovely! The front desk was helpful with all questions. The room was kept clean (that is, when we were awake early enough to allow the cleaning man in!) I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone! If you come to the ITC hotel expecting great things, you will be sorely disappointed. If you come expecting to get what you paid for, you will be just fine. This was definitely one of the cheapest hotels anywhere near central Amsterdam. The room was tiny and in a separate building from the main hotel. You have to share a bathroom, but I always had it […] to myself and it seemed perfectly clean. The room was also clean and totally acceptable other than how small it was - and the free wireless worked great. And it's a short and easy 10-minute walk to Rembrandt square, the main social area of the city. All in all, there was nothing horrifying about this place like bugs, stains, or bad smells. The big drawbacks are a tiny room, a shared bathroom, and limited amenities. If you can deal with those issues and saving money is the most important thing to you, this would be a fine choice! Things that were good: location, free (and working) wireless internet, price, they had tourist information right at the front desk (but little in terms of good food to get close by), could easily control the temperature of the room, extra blankets and pillows and fan stored within the room. Things that were not so good: there is no capacity to make […] a local phone call from within the hotel, you need to leave and go to a pay phone, the stairs to get up to the third floor seem to be designed to make it hard to enjoy anything Amsterdam has to legally offer in ways of mind altering substances, the bottom drawer was smashed (but who uses those anyway?), the only amenity we got was a small bar of soap, the shared bathroom is either smelly or freezing cold (also, no soap in the bathroom is kind of gross). The rooms are small, but the price was good so can't complain. I booked a double room, even though I was staying alone so I would have more space to move around. The pillow was dirty on BOTH beds! they had hairs and marks on them... disgusting. I asked reception for clean cases but he couldn't find them. The bedsheets were stained, I used a clean […] towel over the bedsheet to sleep on. On the first few nights the room (in basement) was cold, I had to leave a fan heater on all night on full blast! The TV is in an odd place, you can really only watch it standing up! Had a window, with a view of the building beside us. The shower wetroom drain had water coming out of it! This was without me using the shower. They have maps and free dutch sweets at reception! The location is ten mins from Amsterdam central by tram, and 20mins approx the other way to RAI. This Hotel is fine if you are going away for a short break such as a boys or girls weekend. The centre is about a mile walk. It is by no means comfortable to stay in and a degree of fitness is needed to climb the stairs, especially the top floor, where you will need a sherpa to carry your luggage for you.

ITC is properly rated. It is pretty clean for the most part. We were in an annex building away from the hotel. The stairs were steep and the climb to the top floor was steep. This is a good crash pad. Set your expectations on quality of the room low, and you will enjoy your stay. Wireless in the room worked. It was small, but worked for us.

The hotel is located in a quiet but very accessible part of Amsterdam. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Although we booked with the ITC our room was located in the Townhouse building across the canal. The room was not as depicted in the photos for the hotel. The furnishings were very old and shabby and very minimal. The carpet was stained […] and the walls were a ittle stained and unfinished. The shower initially was broken but was immediately fixed by the amazing housekeeping/handyman. Our room did have a beautiful view of the canal with two large windows which was the main reason we stayed. The room did not have A/C or a phone and the safe was not bolted to anything so it could easily be carried away. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone expecting the basics in a room like a place to hang your clothes or a dresser or a coffe maker or fridge (it did have a kettle). It would be fine for young kids/backpackers who just want a clean, safe place to sleep. Beds were very comfortable. I would recommend that you determine if your booking is for the main hotel ITC which I believe is quite a bit nicer. The staff would have moved us if they had not been fully booked. If you are looking for a place with USA standards, forget it, but by European standards, it is typical. It was very hard to find (I was on foot, and walked with bags from the train station) because while most people knew the street it was on, no one I spoke to knew of the hotel or was familiar with the address. I was told it was a 15 minute walk, and […] because of bad directions and a really goofy, hard to follow map, it took 1.5 hours and about 5 miles of walking. It really is about a 15-20 minute walk from the city center if you know what you are doing. This is where some of the famous churches, museums and red light district is, and to the south, about 10 minutes away is an outdoor market. It is cheaper to buy things there than at the mall of CC. The room was tiny. About 5 ft x 8 ft, with a short single bed...my feet hung off the end and I am only 6 ft tall. Very good Internet service (included). When I arrived in Amsterdam, the airlines lost my luggage, so all I had was my briefcase. The hotel, not only upgraded my room so I had a private bathroom (for free), but she gave me a toothbrush and lage tube of toothpast. They also ordered me a taxi to pick me up the next morning and knocked on my door to be sure I was up on time. I could not have asked for more. I was a good price, and I would return there. We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in January 2010. We arrived very late due to flight delays and, although the hotel reception was just as we expected and the staff were friendly, we were given a room in a separate building. The other building was absolutely not up to the standard advertised. The stairs were a construction site (half-finished carpentry, […] dusty, paint rollers lying around) and the room was dirty (the sheets and towels were clean but the carpets and curtains were disgusting). We asked to be moved, which they agreed to but couldn't do until the second night. The room we moved to in the main building was lovely (spacious, wood floors, and a view onto the canal). I have rated this hotel based on that room and the service in general - if I was rating it based on the first room it would be a 1. For Amsterdam this is a very reasonably priced hotel, but DO NOT accept a room in the other building unless they can assure you they have finished the construction and cleaned the rooms properly. This hotel is HORRIBLE. Stay far away from this place as it will ruin your trip to have to sleep in such a depressing, shady hotel. When we checked in, we were informed that our room was located in a seperate building, that was just down the street from the hotel that appears on Hotels.com. The Townhouse Hotel as they call it has no front desk staff […] so you literally all alone in this very small, very cramped house with the other hotel patrons. The first night we got there, someone was re-tiling the shared bathroom and had all of the power turned off in the building. he turned on the lights for us but did not turn on the hot water or the heat. The desk staff at the original hotel building leaves at 9PM and as there is no phone in the townhouse building at all, we had no way to contact the hotel staff that we were freezing the entire night. By the second night, the heat was turned on but things got worse on the last night we were there when a group of rowdy travelers checked in that were partying all night on the top floor. The building we were in is very small and it is not sound proofed so we could hear everything they were doing and at one point I literally thought they were going to burst through the door of our room which was half way off its hinges to begin with. I have stayed in several budget hotels before and don't mind cheap hotels at all but safety at this hotel is a huge concern since you will be all on your own in terms of security after 9 PM without even a phone to use to call for help. The hotel upgraded our room to a very spacious triple when we only paid for a double. Nice location with a bus that stops just outside the hotel. Ask the reception. It costs 1 euro to take it to the central station.

On the plus side, the hotel is pretty well situated and has good bars, cafes and shopping right around it. It's also on a fairly quiet street, so night-time noise is minimal (or at least that was our experience). On the down side, the rooms could be cleaner.. we moved our beds and night stand a bit only to discover loads of trash and dirt beneath them. […] However, the open areas of the room were quite clean. Also, while our room was dead-quiet with respect to outside noise, it didn't provide much noise isolation from neighboring rooms. ITC hotel is an average hotel located in the great neighborhood. At your doorsteps you will see the canal and the neighborhood is peaceful and clean and you are only 5-15 minutes walking to most of the attractions and 5 minutes walk to the tram station which will take you to the Central Station. The hotel itself is a two star, so don't expect the luxury. […] The room was generally clean: the bed, shower, toilet were spotless; the carpet was stained. The room is very small though. I had a room with double bed pushed to the wall and it was very small (if you try to stretch your arms, you will hit the ceiling and I am only 5 feet 8 nches). But the room felt comfortable for some reason and I did not spend a lot of time in the room anyway. The hotel is perfect for single travellers. For couples it is probably okay as well if you just use it for sleeping. Not a lot of place in the room for romance though. Although I had a private toilet and shower in my room, I also looked at the shared toilet and shower facilities and they looked very clean. Great staff. Room was clean and location was very convenient. Stairs are tough with luggage and rooms are small. However, for the money, a great deal in an otherwise expensive city.

Las chicas de recepcion muy amabales. El primer dia nos dieron una habitacion en la subplanta. No habia ventanas, bueno una super minuscula en un lateral que daba a un tejado. Nos quejamos y al dia siguiente nos cambiaron. Las habitaciones muy simples, camas comodas y el baño limpio pero muy basico. Buena ubicacion, muy tranquilo.

Très surpris par la taille ridicule de la chambre, type chambre d'étudiant, toilettes sur le palier (à l'étage supérieur), déco inexistante, peinture à refaire depuis longtemps, TV ridicule accrochée au mur (style Formule 1), aucune isolation phonique. La chambre n'est même pas dans l'hotel mais dans une annexe. Et l'escalier pour y accéder est quasiment […] une échelle. Hotellille pääsi helposti ja se on kävely (tai pyöräily) matkan päässä monista nähtävyyksistä! Henkilökunta oli ystävällistä ja avuliasta sekä kielitaitoista. Internetyhteys plussaa! Huone oli siisti, puhdas ja ikkunasta oli lumoava näkymä kanaalille!! Ainoa miinus oli huoneen yksi pieni roskis, johon neljän ihmisen roskien teki tiukkaa mahtua. Suo […] sittelen! Hotellet låg i ett område med mycket restauranger och caféer, nära till en mataffär ( Albert Hejn?). Vi hade köpt spårvagnskort för vi trodde att det var långt in till centrum men det var gångavstånd. Frukosten på hotellet var ganska dyr så vi valde att inte äta frukost där. 7,5 euro för lite rostat bröd och flingor känns som ett överpris. Personalen […] var väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam! Vi upplevde att de gjorde sitt yttersta för att vi skulle få en bra vistelse. Det var ett charmigt hotell med branta smala trappor, så om man är rörelsehindrad ska man kanske välja ett annat hotell. Hotel bem localizado, agradável, funcionários muito simpáticos. O único problema é que as camareiras se reuniam na saleta em frente a porta do nosso quarto para conversar e rir em tom alto, como se estivessem em suas casas, nao permitindo que se dormisse até um poco mais tarde.

Veldig fornøyd ift pris og beliggenhet. Hyggelige ansatte, utrolig god service på rom hver dag. et stort minus er at rommene ikke er lydtette. anbefaler det for ungdom/voksne som ønsker et billig men samtidig godt opphold.

Когда 2* - можно смириться с размером отеля, отсутствием жк телевизоров, ковров на полах и красивых фотографиях на стенах, но торчащие пружины в матрасе и влажные стены которые покрасили по мокрому орагилиту - это очень не приятно... Хотя приложив немного смекалки и заботы - отель будет хорошим!

Hotelli sijaitsee ihanalla alueella, lähellä Rembrat pleinia ja monia pieniä putiikkeja, ravintoloita ja kahviloita. Kulkuyhteydet Damin keskustaan ovat loistavat ja henkilökunta ohjaisti mielellään oikeaan paikkaan tai suositteli vierailtavia kohteita. Hotelli on aika pieni ja käytävät kapeat mikä on perin hollantilaista, huone oli tosi basic mutta […] hintansa väärti eli rahanarvoinen kyllä.Tosi siistiä ja siivous toimi moitteettomasti vierailun ajan.
