i enjoyed my stay at this hotel
Reasonably priced but an older hotel with out dated amenities. I didn't appreciate the front desk woman telling a strange woman that I was in the hotel and what date I had arrived there. I guess expectation of privacy is only in hospitals.
"Great Stay At WindWater"
We got upgraded to a king suite. The room had a great view to the marina. Room was clean and staff was excellent. For the price it was awesome. We will be going back very soon. Thanks WindWater Staff!

Actually the front desk lady was very nice, but the overall cleanliness of the room was not good, the room smells humidity and the bed covers were wet, they had to change them as soon as we get to the room. "Nice location but hotel needs renovating"
In desperate need of maintenance and updating. We liked the location, but will not stay at the Windwater again unless they do some major renovation. Carpet was nasty, the sliding door to the patio was broken, and ceiling tiles in bathroom were stained and falling out, just to name a few. Also smelled very musty.

Close to our favorite place to eat breakfast...Teddy's! The cleanliness of the room was average. The smell of the bathroom could have been better. The tub felt frail, like I was going to fall through at any moment. I'm pretty sure it was safe but it felt weird.

We drove a long way and wanted to take a shower but after the first persons shower the water would not go down and we had to switch rooms. The new room had a full size fridge that was disgusting. "Windwater - good location bad hotel"
So this hotel was awful for Spring Break. Overall Padre is great place. The hotel on the other hand was miserable. The management needs training. Yes I am 19 but one I was a paying customer. The air conditioner was broken the entire time of our stay. We kept asking for them to fix it but they never would fix it. It was cooler outside than inside. The […] refrigerator was really a place to keep your food very warm. It didn't work either. The only thing is I was able to get my deposit back even though we cleaned everything up and nothing was amiss. They still wanted to give us issues about returning our deposit. Awful! Awful! this is a grungy,beat up hotel that has seen better days. but, and this is a big "but", it is really cheap to stay here. if you book a "suite" you can get a lovely setting with a sliding door and patio facing a small inlet of the bay. if they fixed it all up they would probably charge twice what we paid, so you have to decide for yourself if a good […] deal is worth a shabby environment. it is pet friendly, altho they charge a $25 pet fee which seems steep, especially considering the condition of the hotel. There were bugs in the room. The picture of the hotel location is not real. we were a cross the street and over a block to the beach.

The hotel location was perfect. Gas stations were within walking distance, restaurants were nearby as well. The room was clean with the exception of the tiled floor. Ended up with Burger King feet after walking around a few feet.
we stay for one nite and the place had a moldy smell had to get the front office to come and spray some freshner . The cabinets seem like they were hangin by a thread , For we pay i thought we were a gettin a good deal but we didnt.
was not what I wanted but it was ok overall famliy and I had a good time even had a small BBQ outside next to pool

For $29 a day, I knew not to expect much. The pool and hot tub were clean and working properly. The tile floors were dirty; made our feet black. The breakfast area was poor. "Filthy King Suite"
We expected at least liners in the ice buckets and they were filthy at that. the whole room was. We found half used shampoo in our room and hair clippings in the sink the fridge was horrible as well very filthy. The curtians looked as if they had used them as drop cloths to paint the rooms. The reaked of smoke and it was a non smoking suite. No cups […] in the room at least cups for a suite! Terrible stay very dusty and dirty and missing pieces of furniture that never got fixed etc... Tile floors were very nice, location was great, rooms were very clean. Service was a little great as-well but my boyfriend and I ended up having to go home early..but we will definitely be back soon..

The location was okay we actually walked to the beach. The only think I didn't like was that the wall plates were falling off, no light buld covers and if the a/c is on auto, it should actually work. Save energy people. Hello! The pool and hot tub were actually very nice. It was okay!

the only thing you can do is basically sleep the beach is to far walking distance about three restaurants close by walking distance if not you need your car,hotel kinda old floors need work bathroom needs tubs cracks on floor,like i said if you don't mind details sleeping is basically the only good thing to do there and for the price what do you expect […] probably won't stay there again. When I read some reviews about this hotel, I was nervous about reserving there or not; but my budget was small. And the lady of hotels.com was really nice during our phone call so I decided to give it a try! This was a very nice hotel for the money. It was clean and well worth what we paid. The breakfast was sad. But it was free... I would stay here again.
