The hotel itself is fine. Nothing fancy. I had a king-sized bed, fridge and microwave in the room. The towels are small and rough -- not high quality, but I expected that because the rate was low. Not cheap, but lower than other hotels I looked at. I had to haul my luggage upstairs and did not see an elevator. Entrances are on the outside, not indoor. […] There is an old Holiday Inn across the street and a Luby's about one block away. Gas stations nearby. Easy acess to Interstate 10. Saw the cops questioning someone nearby. Not sure about the neighborhood. Made me nervous so I did everything I needed to do before it got dark then locked myself in my room until the next morning. Well everything started our fine; however on our second day the door malfunctioned and they did not think that it was a priority that I could access my room for more than 6 hours. We had two adults staying in the room and they only supplied towels for one guest; and it was like pulling teeth to get towels for our room. "Employees"
The employees are awesome. Very nice and willing to answer questions. Hotel could use some updates but the location is great and the rooms are clean.

The location was in Beaumont and easy to find. It was located on a main street. When I arrived the staff was helpful and kind. I felt that it was a safe place to stay as I am a female traveling alone, and it was late when I arrived. Eating establishments were conviently located and open. I felt that I would return again. staff were very nice. No complaints with the room. The gutter outside needs to be repaired, it was raining the water poured down in front of our room otherwise everything was good.

My first impression of the staff was that they are friendly and courteous, although I found the professionalism lacking..Staff members were utilizing the computer in the lobby playing music and socialzing..The overall cleaniess of the hotel is average..I didnt feel comfortable enough to walk on the floors barefooted, and have made a general habit of […] bringing my own cleaning supplies in which I was glad I did at this hotel, The sink, toliet, and tub were half cleaned and probably unsantized. However the sheets were clean, but the pillows seem like they were stuffed with towels...My son enjoyed the pool..The water looked clear from the distance..however I was not going to step one foot into it....Hotel is in desparate need of upadating. My bathroom door was made of plywood which had swollen and cracked in the center, rust on the ice box, stains of mildew on cracked bathroom wallpaper, however the smoke detector has stellar performance...It sounded as we reheated pizza...The alarm wouldnt go off..maintenance had to take it out..I dont think I will be staying here again...You get what you pay for. The Hotel was clean but very old,the staff was very friendly, I was there for only one night for a funeral the next day. The only complainted I really had the water was brown ! I was only here for a short time, but the room was tidy, the staff was pleasant and the bed was comfortable. You get what you pay for so the room lacked MAJOR luxuries; however, I was content.

The room was clean, but the blankets were torn. The lights were out in the over the sink, the paint was pealing, and all of that would have been ok if the room cost were 30% less. The breakfast was fantastic...

This particular chain of hotels has a sister property just across the freeway from this hotel and by far this hotel surpasses expectations! Although this hotel is much much older than the Howard Johnson across the freeway it is ten times nicer than the sister property . The front desk lady was incredibly friendly and nice and the hotel room was very […] roomy. We traveled to beaumont for a a show downtown we were participating in, I was the only one who stayed there but since it was so close FIVE of us were comfortably able to dress change and move around. "My night in a non-smoking ashtray"
I'm a road warrior with fairly liberal expectations of my accomodations, but this place was pretty bad. I had a non-smoking room, but you could hardly breathe for the stench of stale cigarette smoke. Although there are many places to stay in the area, we have stayed at the Days Inn twice now. Both times the staff was very courtious and the rooms were clean. It does seem to be a bit older but, I think we would have gotten the same quality service and accomadations at several other places - but without the great price!
