"Good bargain, convenient location"
This hotel was decent for a quick stop over on my way to western New York. The room was clean and decently attractive. The bed and bedding were very basic, but did the trick. The biggest issue with my room was that it was on the side of the hotel that faces the highway and I could hear the traffic pretty clearly. I tend to do alright in these kinds […] of situations, but for any light sleepers, this could be an issue. The hotel is just a few dozen yards from the New York State Thruway. Very helpful staff. This hotel offers an excellant nights sleep for the price one pays. Will use again if ever I am in the area.

"Not bad"
Old building, but easy to get to right off of I90 on rte 30. Restaurant next door is shut down, but half a mile away in downtown Amsterdam are lots of places to eat. Room was ok, had to get tub unplugged but they were quick to do it. Front desk staff was extremely friendly and efficient. It was perfect for what I needed, and I would stay again.
"Broken Down"
This hotel allows animals to rule the hallways. Cello donuts and bagels with luke warm coffee. Broken shower head and remote in our initial room. Marginally clean. Scary place - do not bring your family!!!!

The motel is just located at the 27th exit of the state road, it is very convenient. The employees there are friendly and helpful. The room is normally clean. You can find pizza hut, burger king and even Chinese taste around and they can deliver to you for free. Overall, this is a good choice when you want to stay in Amsterdam, NY.

We were very satisfied with the friendly, polite and attentive staff at this hotel. The hotel itself is fairly outdated but the people there maintained it in good, clean condition. It is certainly not a resort destination but it was a clean and comfortable place to stay for the night and served its purpose as a mid-way stopover to our ultimate destination. This hotel was close to an attraction I had planned on going to nearby. I am not very picky but could not beleive I had to spend the night in these conditions. I would be scarred to try the continental breakfast after what I saw. I would have cancelled the whole trip if I knew how the hotel was going to be. Very hot, couldnt sleep, no a/c, menus with […] sauce and dried food on them, screen was all torn, hair and very dirty in bathroom, under headboard was a sock a ball and a half eaten english muffin with crumbs all over, blanket had burn holes in it, everytime someone would leave their room in the hallway their door would make a loud bang, there was a dirty washcloth rite outside our door and it was there all day until the next morning. "Smoky..."
Even in a smoke free room until we put a towel across the door threshold could we start to not smell smoke. The boarded up roadhouse adjacent to the parking lot also was a bit weird.

Very dirty messy place in a sketchy area with extremely rude employees and overall bad service. Do not stay here. Employees may also deny you service after you have made a reservation.

"Service Stinks"
The people at the front desk seemed far more interested in watching television than in helping us. The lobby also smelled of smoke to the point that I couldn't stop coughing. They couldn't even print a receipt for us. We stayed at several hotels on this trip and were satisfied with all of them BUT this one. I would avoid this hotel completely. We were somewhat disappointed. We requested a non smoking room and it smelled of smoke. There was no luggage rack to place luggage. Room was not as clean as it should be. On the first night there were hairs in the bed. There was gum stuck to the peephole in the door. Not sufficient electrical outlets. Free breakfast consisted only of carbs, no fresh […] fruit. We were there to help our son move to the area. It was perfect for us --- we just needed a place to sleep for two nights. The breakfast was small but good enough for our needs and great that it was free. It was nice not to have to look for a restaurant for breakfast. Great for a short stay and great price.

"nicely remodeled room since last visit"
Very satisfied with room. It had been updated since last visit. The mattress was new and we had a great night's sleep. Would definitely come back.

we booked two rooms at the hotel for our trip to cooperstown. when we called the hotel to get directions from cooperstown, i was told it was only 35 minutes away, but the owner could not give me directions. we plugged in the GPS and an hour later we arrived tired and grumpy. one room was ok, and the other's a/c did not work. after that experience at […] the end of the next day we decided to not even stay another night, we booked for two nights, went back and forth to cooperstown, packed our stuff and drove back to carver, ma. it is what you pay for, and not much else. "Few kinks.."
It was a busy weekend in town, I think the hotel was a little overwhelmed.. They ran out of bath towels one day.. But that was it, other than that it was a decent hotel. Served its purpose...
