Hotel started a bit rough, were emailed the day before our arrival that we had the adjoining rooms when we got there we were told we had been upgraded to a club floor "but could not use club facilities" no body took us to our room we had to find it ourselves. Got to our rooms and discovered we did not have connecting rooms. So called the desk they said […] they would call back after some time, they called back and said they had one room available which would be suitable so took us to see it. It had not at that stage been cleaned so said it would take 2 hours for us to move in. I took the kids to the pool for a while after 2.5 hours went to the front desk and they said to go back to the old room and they would check on the new room approx 30 mins later we were told new room ready. So instead of waiting for the staff to get our bags, we took them ourselves to the other side of the hotel to our new room. It was a suite so with the three children on the fold out beds it was still comfortable for the 5 of us. It had a huge balcony overlooking the pool area, beautiful fruit basket and we loved the turn down service and the aromatherapy each evening. The kids were very happy with the activities in the kids club - my husband and I were happy that the kids loved to go to the kids club for dinner and a movie therefore we had a few dinners just the two of us in one of the hotel's restaurants. There are a few restaurants to choose from (we didn't make the chinese one) but the others all had wonderful food. We particularly liked the Italian restaurant. And the deserts at the buffet were great! The pool was terrific. We also loved the water wars (water balloons) each day between our family. The girls had their hair braided. Hubby and I managed to go to the day spa for a 2 hour massage. Not sure I would recommend the hot rock massage - don't get me wrong the ladies were wonderful. We chose this hotel for a bit of a luxury stay at the end of our holiday. They upgraded us to a suite, which was lovely. The sunset bar is the best part of the hotel, though the new sort of infinity pool is also lovely. The only part that lets it down is the chaotic bun fight that is breakfast. there is nothing to fault with this hotel. the pool is delightful - plenty of shade from both trees and umbrellas. nice and deep and beautiful outlook. we wished we had kids so we had an excuse to use the water park!! the rooms are spacious and comfortable. the staff are friendly and lovely and will do anything for you. the food is incredible and […] there is a really nice range of restaurants. it is super close to the airport and town which is really convenient. we had the club access, which was great and you should definiltely consider gettting too. the breakfast spread was great and the light snacks of an evening were lovely!! we also stayed at the Rasa Ria Resort. these two properties are quite different, but equally nice. if you are trying to decide which of the two properties to stay out, have a think about what you want to do during your stay. if you want to sit next a pool for a couple of days and have a choice of shade and sun and maybe head into town, then this is the place to stay. if you want to feel like you're in the middle of the jungle and do lots of water sports and nature activities right at your doorstep (rather than catching the shuttle), then the rasa ria is for you. but it is important to note that both are glorious!! i cannot wait to stay here again. i didn't want to leave!! stay here. you wont regret it. We were a family of 4 from Canada visiting this hotel in Jan 2012. We upgraded our room to a suite on the Club side; very nice and spacious. Staff at the Club were amazing - thank you Andy, Duncan, Sarazin and Mosely for making our stay very enjoyable. If we were to return to K.K., we would stay at the Shangri La Tanjung again.

Service was exceeding all expectations. Room was of high standard and facilities and activities followed the same top standard. However surrounding neighbourhood was depressing and trips to see "the real Borneo" was very expensive. Price level at resort was reasonable.

Arrived full of hopes of a brilliant stay at Tanjung Aru, had chosen the hotel for several reasons. One being the always excellent service and food these places and the other being the room and its view. The room was settled nicely on ground floor with seaview, had a nice size and ok internet (which was available on the entire hotel area, excellent […] opportunity btw) The hotel itself was nice, had a great houseband playing every night and the service from the guys and girls on the hotel area was at all times great. We however did end up not being satisfied at all with the hotel due to a bunch of small issues which I feel added up to a point where it annoyed us, and paying that kind of money for a 5* hotel you should never get close to that feeling. The cleaning of the room was what annoyed os the most. Dirty clothes left behind, big gatherings of dust/dirt probably from the vacuum cleaning (?) was dropped/dragged onto clothes left on our bags which we had intended to use again, dirty bathrope/towels not being replaced at several occasions they just took them instead the same with shower gel etc, the first night we had dropped some potatochips next to the bed on the carpet which stayed there for the duration of the stay not being vacuum cleaned. The food at Coco Joe's (pool area bar for lunch and dinner) was below what anyone could expect for a 5* hotel, their 'signature dish' is a big burger dried out with odd tastes and a 62RM price tag, the same goes for a bunch of other things we tried. At least one could expect them to make the signature dish with some kind of pride.. I guess not. The food at Tatu (International buffet) was ok and excellent at times depending on what you had, but when the best dish you get at a place with a buffet is Mongolian style wok and pasta then id say some is lacking. The food at Peppino (Italian) was good and in general much better. Still not as good as I had hoped in a place like this but definitely the best and most intimate place Przeczytaj więcej

This resort has a high level of service and facilities. Staff always friendly and helpful. Tried all the restaurants and all except one came up to expectations. Location excellent for visits to town. Facilities very suited for family. Children are very well catered for. No issues with security.

This was a fantastic resort In so many ways. The location is magical, the outdoor area amazing and the service and staff unbelievably accomodating. Along with our 2 children we were made to feel very welcomed and treated with gracious humility.

I will say this is my first resort stay so I havent been able to compare but was only let down by the lack of sandy white beaches. They do have a beach area but I expected more. However they offer a ferry to the island which have wonderful beachs and this leaves every hour plus a free bus to their other resort in the area. Dont let this put you off […] as the staff were the best you will find and will always say hello and have a smile for you. After the first day you will love how relaxed the place makes you feel. Overall the Tanjong Aru Resort & Spa has great facilities - beautiful rooms, however the beach is disappointing. Small and obviously man made. Lots of activities, however more suited for families than for couples. If youre after a quiet weekend with your partner, I would probably recommend the Rasa Ria which seems to have a better beach and be slightly […] quieter. Tanjong Aru is busier and lots of young kids running around. I had one major complaint relating to the lack of tourist information available at the concierge. No maps available, and they could only provide 2-3 tour brochures when asked for advice about what to do around Kota Kinabalu. They had no information available for people who were looking to make their own arrangements and not be part of a tour group. There were not even any maps available of Sabah - only of KK city. We had to go to the Tourist Information office in the city to get any information. I expect more from a hotel of this level. Advice - do your research before going! I learned my lesson... The hotel was close to the airport and Kota Kinabalu town centre. The room was excellent and the hotel staff were superb and so very friendly. The buffet breakfast choice was huge as was the buffet evening menu and the food was great. The beach was private and very clean with life guards there to watch over you. Bars were good although a little on the […] expensive side. We would definately stay here again when we next visit this area and would look to stay at other hotels in the chain at other locations. A very large hotel but it never felt crowded. The service and staff were fantastic, and the food was superb. Not cheap, but in my view well worth the money.

3歳の子供を連れて滞在しましたが、予想をはるかに超えて子供への配慮が行き届いた素晴らしいホテルでした。 プールは幼児から大人まで楽しめるようにバラエティに富んだ構成になっており、キッズルームでも多くのスタッフがやさしく子供の相手をしてくれ、朝食ビュッフェでは入り口で日替わりの着ぐるみで出迎えてくれたりといった感じでハード面、ソフト面共にかなり洗練されていました。 宿泊料金が高かったので少しためらったのですが、この内容であれば納得です。

4-12歳の子供を預けられるkids roomや、子供が喜ぶウォータースライダープール等、家族連れにぴったりのリゾートでした。タイから年末旅行に行きましたが、飛行機はブルネイ航空がほとんどトランジット時間もなく、料金が割安でお勧めです。

深夜の到着だったので、ホテルおよび代理店にその旨伝えていたものの、散々待たされた挙句、予約していたタンジュンアルスィートから、何の説明もなく、キナバルにダウングレードされる。しかも、何の説明もなく、二つ目の建物の93ｘｘ室まで行けと言われる。さすがに、どこだかわからん９階？と聞くとポーターの案内があったが・・・論外！ 翌日、予約して前払い済みの部屋と違うのではないかと言うと散々待たせたあげく、何の説明もないまま準備ができたら部屋を替えてやると言われるが、その間も、シンガポール人らしき紳士がレセプションに執拗にクレームを入れていた。 思うにこのホテルは個人客にとってはトラブルが非常に多そうだ。 ホテルにはタクシーが出入りが少なく、殆ど旅行代理店の車が出入りしている。タクシーもホテルまで客を載せ […] てきた赤いタクシーには乗ることはできず、ホテル指定の黄色いタクシーを待たなければならく、かなり待たされる。タクシーの予約をしていても、まったく手配されおらず、お粗末そのもの。 食事もとても不味い。最初のコーヒー・紅茶からしてセルフでサイゼリアと同じレベル。 泊まるならこのことをこのことを承知ですべき。 本当のリゾートを知るもはの泊まってはいけない。 Przeczytaj więcej

空港から近く、食事もおいしい。なおかつ、マレーシアプライスで安い！夕日が最高です。

設備やスタッフの接客態度については満足しています。 ただタイミング悪くアジア諸国のツアー団体客が多かったためホテルのいたるところが騒々しかったのには迷惑しました。 まだまだリゾート地での過ごし方を理解していないのでしょうか。 ホテル側としても取り扱いに困るところでしょうか。

家族旅行で小さいお子さんが居る方には最適です。プール、海岸、キッズルームと充実しています。

Hotellet ligger fnatastisk til ved Sør Kina Havet og med muilgheter for et variert utvalg av utflukter. Hotellet er stort, og da vi vaqr der var det helt fullt, men allikevel plass nok både i søvmme bassengområdet (stort og fint), på spiestedene og til aktivitetene. Vi opplevde god service og vennlig betjening. Bra utvalg av mat.

리조트의 외관과 규모는 샹그릴라라는 이름에걸맞게 아주훌륭합니다.객실상태는 그냥 soso침구상태는 훌륭합니다. 어메니티 괜챦구요 턴다운 서비스 좋습니다. 수영장은 리노베이션되어서 아주아주 좋구요 비치야 모 볼거없구 썬셋바에서의 썬셋 최고입니다.하지만 서비스상태는 국제체인 호텔급이아닙니다특별히 불친절하지는 않지만 이건모 공무원느낌 아무리 바빠도 이건아닌듯..기다리다 짜증날뻔하구 조식또한 종류는 많은데 예식장 부페를 먹는듯 그많은 종류에서 만족할수 있는것 커피와 티종류 조식외의 다른식당은 아주 맛있어요 당최조식만 왜이런지 매니저도 정신없구 자리안내도 바로 안되구 이건모 직원을 더써야하는듯 암튼 부분부분에서 느껴지는 불쾌함...규모와시설이 […] 아무리 훌륭했어도 다시 찾지는 않을듯 .. we spent our summer break in tanjungaru and it was better than expected. especailly great for little kids! my little ones loved the pool and slides! food was OK in average, room service was not that speedy though.

改装に伴い、ﾌﾟｰﾙやサウナが利用出来ないのなら、 きちんと予約時にも分かるように表示すべきだと思います。
