Best Western Albany Airport Inn - Albany

OK average near-the-freeway-hotel. My stay were pure business, and WiFi worked well. Hotel has a small pool, though I didn't use it, it seemed nice. Rooms were OK, and room service were kind. My room faced the pool area, and as such I experienced some noise. But as the pool close at 9 PM, it was never a problem to me. The alternative is to face the […] freeway, and I imagine it would be more noisy. Great hotel.Excellent Breakfast and workout room. Two things I would change is that the lock by the back doors need to be replaced so that they lock. The bed on the right hand side has a piece of metal that you can easily bang your ankle on. Cover it with foam or some kind of cushion.

The stay was ok. When we first got to our room, the toliet did not fill with water, and then with the rain, the window leaked and brought rain inside. The breakfast was good except for the eggs, they tasted like they were made from powder and not real eggs. The bed was comfortable to sleep in, and like that the room had a microwave and fridge.

Internet was slow. Wear earplugs, as noisy as expected close to freeway and main road, and people in hallways. Great breakfast. Has a good gym.

Check in with front desk clerk was very good. Room had a garbage can with previous guest's trash. Sink stopper in bathroom did not work. Had a nice burger in restaurant/bar with a friendly bartender, however his use of profanity in conversations with some guests/hotel employees was not acceptable. Shuttle to airport in early morning went very well. […] Convenient to airport and its offering of a shuttle from 4 am was better than other hotels in the vicinity. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the rooms have been upgraded and they were very nice. The only complaints were there wasn't an elevator and the bathroom was tiny. Would definitely stay again.

Hotel is nice. Lots of restaurants in area. Pool was nice so was free buffet in the morning.

We were not expecting much as it looked kind of dated but the staff was great and the rooms were a real surprise very nice and comfortable. It was convienient and their shuttle service was on time and very quick on our return flight. Thanks

Not crazy about late night loud guess.

Overall it was okay but the windows in each room we had were broken and cold air came through. I told them about the first broken window in room 1. They graciously moved us to another room and the same bottom windows were broken, so I gave up and just covered the broken windows with drapes. I chose the best western because of its proximity to airport and falls into mid-budget price. On weekdays, it's significantly cheaper than the Hampton Inn, the Indigo, etc. The hotel looks and feels rather old from outside and the hallways, but the inside of the hotel room has been redecorated tastefully. Bed is firm and comfortable, plenty of pillows. […] Rooms are comfortable for the price range. Breakfast is fine, standard American breakfast fare. No complaints here as all american hotel chain breakfast seems similar. I have stayed at Holiday Inn express, Fairfield Inn, and this hotel in the space of 1 week, and it seems to me that the food is very similar in all the places. Parking is plentiful and free. Two malls nearby. For great food I suggest going down to COlonie Ctr for Cheesecake Factory or PF Chang. Internet in the hotel is spotty .. at weekday night, it can be slow. Everything was very nice and the pleasure of park and ride to the airport was greatly appreciated.

This hotel exceeded my highest expectations. The room was spacious with beautiful bedding, a small fridge, a microwave and wi-fi to boot! Everyone at the hotel was amazingly helpful in every possible way. The complimentary breakfast was amazing-eggs, bagels, fruit, yogurt, pancakes, waffles--you name it--it was there. Coffee, microwave, refrigerator, iron and ironing board in the room - no self service laundry on site or easily available. Being an older hotel can have benefits...like actual plaster walls so you can't hear the neighbors. Very courteous staff, great AYCE full complimentary breakfast, heated indoor pool. Rugs are very old and a strong smoking odor is received thru the corridors. Eventhough we requested a non smoking room, the room had a very strong odor to cigarrette and humidity. The area of the bar-restaurant is very dark and the bartender was not very nice.

Other than the humidity because of the pool, this wasn't a bad deal. Better than some in the area.

Good hotel for the price, no complaints with the room. However, the wireless was very unreliable and I could not recommend this hotel to anyone relying on wireless connection.

the best western albany airport inn was very nice. We stayed for 2 nights and the beds were comfy and the down blankets were soft. We will stay here again. The warm breakfast was awesome and the attendee was sweet as pie. Glad I made this choice...

While the folks at the front desk are very professional and friendly, I still got "dropped" as a customer. Upon arrival to ALB, I called the front desk for shuttle service and said I was ready for pick up. After 40 minutes, I called back and then they sent someone. Upon arrival when this was pointed out to the person I spoke to twice for pick up, she […] ignored it and didn't even bother to apologize. Luckily the shuttle driver was so nice and professional that his demeanor almost made up for her lack of professionalism. We were encouraged to use their shuttle service to go to places nearby which was a great perk. However, you have to go through the front desk to get the shuttle. Front desk service is lacking, especially in concern for their customer's safety. I chose this hotel because they offered shuttle service to/from the airport. Good accommodations, Great hot breakfast, Pleasant & very helpful personal. Aircraft noise a little disturbing,Slamming doors in early morning hours,[ 3:00 am ]. I would recommend this hotel. Spent 9 days there.

I've traveled a lo--from 5 star European palaces to sandy tents in the Sahara desert-- so I'm accustom to a variety of accommodations. The Best Western on Wolf Rd. hotel room was clean, the beds were comfortable, the staff was polite, the hot breatfast was served with a smile. I booked through hotels.com so the rate was great. I'd stay there again.

The complimentary breakfast was served on paper plates with plastic utensils. No one around to clear dirty tables. There was no "do not disturb" sign and housekeeping knocked on our door every 1/2 hour beginning at 8:30 a.m. asking us when we were leaving (check out time was noon). Not so "Best" Western.

Was moving our son into a dorm at the University. This is a little out of the way. Had trouble with the lock (manager said they were replacing the locks and some were faulty). Good, average hotel.

The room was nice for the money. Our only concern was they allow dogs in the rooms. We had a dog barking at 11:00pm, Also someone put a do not disturb sign on our door and our room was never cleaned.

I have stayed at this hotel for 3 years in a row and have had no issues with it. The price is good, has a pool if you want, rooms are clean and the hot breakfast in the morning is very good. The only one issue I may have is sometimes the non-smoking rooms still have the smell that they perhaps used to be a smoking room.

stayed here with family to break up a long drive home. nice pool, decent breakfast buffet, friendly staff. close to grocery store and restaurants. right off the highway. would stay again. a little dated architecturally, but the rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds were great.

Everyone was so helpful . They put our icepacks in the freezer every day for us, The van driver took us to a very good resturant and then picked us up when we finished. They went out and got bandaids for my husband when he had blisters and it was late at night.Everyone was so nice,

Staff was very courteous and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast convienient but, eggs were watery and ham was sliced so thin it was almost not there. Otherwise everything else was fine. We only stayed 1 night then headed for Cooperstown for baseball so was a good quick stop. Would recommend this hotel. The staff was great. The shuttle from the airport stops at midnight, but our flight was delayed. I called ahead and they made arrangments for the shuttle driver to stay a little past midnight so that we would not have to take a cab. Very nice people. The room walls were thin. When we slept we could hear a person in the next room coughing, and in the […] other room a baby was crying. They did have a new VIZIO flat screen TV. The complimentary breakfast in the lobby was a lot more than we expected. Fruit, waffle station, eggs, hash, toast, pastries, cereal station. We stayed at the Thayer hotel the following night for a wedding. That morning we joked how the more you pay, the less you get. hello,just wanted to say had a good time ,everything was close by where we needed to go,just on sundays the bar was closed,hey,.people were very friendly that is what i liked the most.

the hotel was great for the price. One major complaint- the magnetic keys would quit working. We had 2 rooms and it happened at least twice in each room, had to walk a long way to room with kids and then key would not work. VERY ANNOYING

We had a great one nighter there. The location is perfect (near the interstate and nice restaurants), the room was clean, the AC was working fine, the pool and the chairs on the lawn were great. Finally, the full breakfast (included in the price of the room) is fantastic

Excellent Hotel and Staff. Breakfast was very good. The only problem was that noise from adjacent rooms, kids that thought they were in their own home and not being controlled by parents, and doors slamming were disturbing.
