Marriott Grand Residence Club - South Lake Tahoe

Very rude front desk staff. Hotel is nice, but I won't ever stay there again due to the front desk staff.

Great stay for two nights the rooms where well equipped with full kitchens, plenty of places to eat nearby and a 5 minute walk over the state line to the casinos if that is your thing. Recommended

Lovely stay. Enjoyed this South Lake Tahoe location. Walking distance to great dining, stand-up comedy and mountain hikes.

The location was awesome! So many things available right outside your door! The place is very warm and welcoming and the staff is very friendly!! Only thing that sucks is parking is expensive - but we just parked at Harrah's and didn't need our car the whole time!

Absolutely nothing negative to say about our stay at the Marriott Grand Residence Club. Literally next to the Heavenly gondola, great dining nearby and we were all treated exceptionally well. Love that it's so close to the casinos and the onsite spa is a great value. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite separated by doors and every room was impeccable. The […] cleaning staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and the beds were extremely cozy. Fireplaces everywhere! I will definitely be staying here again. Great location. Great service. Very comfortable. Nice amenities. Just don't take directions from the valet. They ask if you need directions to somewhere every time you get your car. I asked twice and both times they were wrong. Luckily, I already had directions. I just asked to see if theirs would be the same. They weren't even close and gave me incorrect […] highway numbers. This is the ideal location for the hotel being it is a block or so from Stateline and a few steps away from the Heavenly Gondola. Our room was very big with all the amenities we needed. The staff was very helpful with all of our needs. If I was to nit pick anything, it would be that there was no ventilaton fan in our bathroom. This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. The room was spacious and well decorated with a full kitchen and living room and a separate bedroom. We had a nice view of the pool too. Everything was very clean and new looking and there were two flat screen TVs. I would recommend turning down the heat when you get there if it is set in the 70s.The […] bed has a heavy down comforter on it and with the room so warm we were too warm the first night. The second night we removed the down comforter and put a blanket that was in the closet on the bed and turned the heat way down and were much more comfortable. Our only complaint was with the $24 a day valet parking charge. We were not aware of that before we got there. Absolutely top notch. worth the little bit extra to stay in one of the villas up on the 5th floor. tons of space with a balcony that overlooked the pool area. Daily parking fee was very high- avoid it by parking a block down the street in the free garage for Harrah's or Harvey's.

This was the nicest suite I have ever stayed in including many, many hotels around the world. Everyone was helpful, friendly, and the room was impeccable. The kitchen was beautifully furnished even if we didn't use it much. We would definitely stay there again when going to So. Lake Tahoe.

Hotel/resort offers lots of on site activities. nice pool area valet parking is a bit spendy definetly will go back

Great place to stay. Rooms were comfortable and well appointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. Wonderful loccation. They did neglect to clean our room one day so we had to request clean towels from the desk. My only problem is paying over $20 per day for valet parking. We loved our Villa at the Marriott Grand Residence Club. It was spacious with a full kitchen, living room, big bathroom, two fireplaces, two flatscreens and large jacuzzi tub for two. Everythibg about our stay was GRAND - room, service, pool and great shopping nearby. Weather was wonderful.

I love this place, close to everything, Located right next to heavenly gondola, a block to the casino, restaurants all over, and 2 blocks at the lakeside beach. Room is nice and clean. Service is good and staff are friendly.

I did not know this when I arrived, but this is not a full-service hotel (e.g. you can't order food, etc. to your room). Other than that, it is absolutely great: location, rooms (really big apartments), etc.

The hotel staff was awesome...very friendly and accommodating. We arrived a few hours before check-in and were still able to check into our room early. Although the valet parking was expensive, they were also very friendly and efficient. The pool was great, and the location of the hotel can't be better! Our only complaint was the bed. We were quite surprised to find that South Lake Tahoe had a hotel of this quality. We very much enjoyed the stay. Great location and great services provided in the hotel. Short walk to restaurants and movie theater. Additional per night valet fee, but worth it.

We had a relaxing time enjoying some much needed family time in the living room. We made dinner after shopping at Raley's across the street. The kitchen had everything you need to cook and eat. Even comes with a blender, toaster, and slow cooker.

Would never stay there again, the worst Marriot I ever stayed at, I have stayed at nicer Marriot than this why its rated 4 star it should be more like a 1-2 star rating.

This is the best place you can stay in South Lake Tahoe. That is why we stay there every year for the last 6 years. No other place can beat that. At least the convenient of it. In the heart of resort.

Got up Sunday morning, made breakfast for our small group (two couples sharing one of the villas), and walked over to the gondolas so start our day at Heavenly. It was such a breeze and our accommodations were very comfortable! In hindsight we would have been happy making dinner the night before and lounging in the living room watching TV by the fire. […] Instead, we walked over to the brewery next door (location was walkable to lots of options), which was also a good choice. Good, clean hotel located in the Heavenly Village. We got a studio apartment which had everything you would need to cook a meal. The pool area was closed for renovations so that was a little disappointing. But you could use the pool of the Marriott Timber Logdes.

We got a decent rate on a sunday night. The staff was courteous and promptly attended to any issues. Our shower and window were difficult to operate (stuck) but they sent someone up right away to fix both. The kitchenette was very nice! This place has individually owned 'residents' units, so comfort varies. We had a great room, quiet & clean but didn't get the famous Marriott bed, only a substandard bed. A bit saggy. Also being a residence facility no restaurant or room service is available but room included a kitchen. Also be ready to pay $25 p/day parking. Great facility, convenient location, lots of options for activities - great for families and couples - room was quiet despite all the activities around us. Would recommend to others.

Great hotel experience. We had a suite that included a large bedroom as well as kitchen/dining/living room. Staff was courteous and professional. Valet had our car waiting for us when we called for it. Would and will come back in the future.

From the valet to the pool staff...all were awesome! The accomodations the best! Staff were on top of everything.......a few thunderclouds came & they asked us to leave pool area for safety reasons. We are planning on visiting again!

The room was VERY spacious. Because of the number of other reservations, I was forced to get a room with two queen beds. I had thought I would have a main bedroom with two queen beds in it. The kitchen had all the utensils needed for a stay. The room I reserved would have been PERFECT if two couples, or a larger family, had wanted a getaway in Lake Tahoe. They even had a large swimming pool and two hot tubs. The scenery was naturally spectacular. shopping and casinos were a simple and short walk away. They gave tips/pointers on sightseeing trips to take. And when we finally checked out, they had the curtesy to hand wash our car windows when they brought up the car before we drove away. This place is a great place to stay at. Had the 2-bed, 3-bath, a living room, a kitchen. Perfect for groups of people. Very clean, very customer-friendly staff. Will come back, definitely!
