We have stayed several times at this hotel and we are overall satisfied with the the conditions and cleanliness. There have been some issues with the amenities. The pool water has been too cold to stay in the water for more than a few minutes and the last time we couldn't get our shower to come on. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is nice.

The room was better than expected. Check out time was 12:00, which is nice. A fully functioning refrigerator and microwave was included. I found nothing wrong with the neighborhood, but it is a tad bit industrial. I found it to be safe. I would definitely stay here again.

we did NOT get breakfast. We stayed 2 nites. Got there on Fri. Sat morn we went down around 8:45, there was NOTHING left. Sun morn we went down at 7 Still the same. We go on alot of MINI Vacation's and will NOT go back to that place

We stayed at this motel 5 years ago when it was a Comfort Inn. It was clean and well maintained. Now it has deteriorated. All the rooms smell like smoke. We checked out after 1 night. This place was very qhetto and trashy. I stayed here before 6 years ago when it was sleep in and it wss very nice.. The new owners have a lot of work that needs to be done.. The people staying there got into a fight then took it to the lobby and finally outside.. if u stay here make sure you bring your CCW.

"Clean-Convenient-Well Priced"
Had a good stay. My daughter really enjoyed the indoor pool and the breakfast bar. The desk clerks may not be the most cheerful people in the world but overall the hotel is a good place to stay. We will stay again on our next visit.

"Magnuson Hotel Lincoln Park - scary part of town"
It was very difficult to find the hotel because it is on a small unlit street and the name of the hotel on the sign outside was not the right name. The clerk said they were in the process of putting up the right name sign. The area was scary, I would not feel safe outside at night. "Cigarette burns."
The hotel I booked was know online as Magnuson hotel, but when my wife and I arrived we found a Sleep Inn in its place. We thought that Sleep Inn was a reputable, and well known, establishment so we didn't think anything of the name change. We reserved a suite with a jacuzzi tub and fire place and were happy to get out of the hot sun and into the air […] conditioned room. We took the elevator up to the second floor and immediately we knew there was something out of sorts. The elevator was being held together with glue and the floor had not been cleaned in months. We entered our room to find that the ACTION was not on and it was a stifling 87 degrees Fahrenheit. We turned on the air and sat on the bed, looked down and found two empty packs of cigarettes beside the might stand. The jacuzzi, like the elevator, was being held together by glue and only had one speed; that would almost flip somebody out of the tub. No extra towels or toilet paper could be found in the room and when I asked for two more pillows I was told that they would have to check and call me back; they called back moments later to tell me that they did have extras but I would beverages to come and get them myself. When I went to the front desk the women behind it handed me what looked like two couch cushions covered in pillow cases. The fire place place didn't really work and the carpet in the room was a little dirty. The biggest problem I had with the hotel was that there war a cigarette burn in the he'd that when through 3 blankets, the sheet and the fitted sheet into the mattress its self; which means they didn't bother to change the bedding before guests. Hours after we had made the reservation once we got to the hotel it still hadnt arrived so we had to call hotels.com for it. The first room they gave us we walked into it was a total mess everything dirty even had sex toys that the people before had left!! "Nice imatation of a hotel"
upon check in the woman at the front desk quickly got us into our room. The first 2 weekdays were fine but as soon as the weekend hit it was non stop noise. Kids running up and down the hall all hours of the day and night. people sleeping in the 3rd floor lobby area. and then the key card thing on the door breaks and we cannot get into our room for […] 2 hours while they call maintence to come fix it.. They gave us a diffrerent room that was still dirty and had no hot water at all. We complained to the front desk and they said there was nothing that could be done. "Magnuson Hotel (Sleep Inn) Lincoln Park"
The name of this hotel has changed to "Sleep Inn" This hotel presents itself as a location that was great many years ago but has failed to stay up to date. It is in a questionable area of town for safety. While the room overall was nice, it was not clean and the beds very uncomfortable. Hotel service was really non-existant after initial checkin.

I had a good stay. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable and the jacuzzi was relaxing. My room was on the side with a train track right outside the window, but I could barely hear when trains passed, so good sound proofing.
