Piękny, świetnie utrzymany hotel, czyściutki i bardzo komfortowy. Znajduje się praktycznie w samym centrum, świetne połączenie komunikacyjne. W okolicy same markowe sklepy. Jeśli nie chce się korzystać z restauracji w hotelu, to trzeba odbyć spacer do nieco odległych sklepów czy restauracyjek. Ogólnie okolica bardzo przyjemna.

Spędziłem w tym hotelu trzy noce i byłem bardzo zadowolony. Oddalony od centrum, ale oferujący kilkakrotnie w ciągu dnia bezpłatny dojazd własnym busem do głównej ulicy miasta. Niedaleko dostęp do komunikacji publicznej. Położenie tuż przy jeziorze z przyjemnym widokiem na wodę. Czysty pokój (gorzej na korytarzach), dobrze wypozażona łazienka, klimatyzacja, uprzejma obsługa w recepcji, dostatecznie wyposażony pokój biznesowy (komputer, drukarka) ogólny bezpłatny dostęp WiFi do Internetu, basen, w pokojach ekspres do kawy i lodówka, co dzień nowa porcja kawy i herbaty do samodzielnego przyrządzania, telewizor (choć nie najlepszej jakości i z małą liczbą programów, ale to nie było dla mnie najważniejsze), na korytarzu maszyna do lodu i automaty z napojami. Jedno co mi nie odpowiadało to posiłki w restauracji hotelowej, zwłaszcza oferowane podczas śniadań (jajecznica, chyba z proszku, dziwne jakieś mazie, dziwne w smaku kiełbaski itp), ale to zapewne typowo amerykańskie potrawy, a wyczucie smaku to oczywiście rzecz indywidualnego gustu. W każdym razie były dość urozmaicone i zawsze uzupełnione o świeże owoce. Raz w tygodniu w rozsądnej cenie ( 20 dol.) kolacja typu - bufet, z zadziwiająco dużym wyborem dań (część nawet mi smakowała, a jestem przyzwyczajony do dobrej kuchni - zwłaszcza ryby, których oferowano kilka rodzajów w różnej postaci) towarzyszyła temu muzyka na żywo i sprawna obsługa kelnerska. W sumie OK.
Za dodatkową osobę może być wymagana dopłata, której wysokość zależy od obiektu.
Przy zameldowaniu wymaga się przedstawienia ważnego, oficjalnego dowodu tożsamości z fotografią oraz wpłacenia kaucji kartą kredytową lub w gotówce na wypadek nieprzewidzianych kosztów.

"Best Western Des Plaines"
I stayed the weekend at this hotel with my toddler. It was pretty easy to drive to all our desired locations from there. The hotel was clean and the room was comfortable. The only thing I could possibly complain about is the water pressure of the shower.

Pool was earm and nice, no hot tub though. Breakfast was good. Even tho no smoking room, there was a burn hole in the bed spread. Overall good for price and location.

Your basic budget hotel in poor condition. One access door to parking lot would not open with key: the room door actually rattled in it's frame when closing: the room carpet was so dirty you had muddy feet in the shower,the hotel was noisy,either from guests (or) from workers in and out of closet/store room doors, etc.
"Park and Fly option"
We used this hotel because of the park and fly oprion. We had never done this before and it was the best way to go to the airport without having to pay the price at the parking lot. It was less expensive to stay here for one night and leave our car until we returned from our trip. I would do this again the next time we are away.

I was not particularly happy with hotel clerks at the front desk, not very friendly at all. They made me feel like they did not want me to come back. I am talking about the clerks at the front desk. Maybe they have a problem with people of different races.

I like staying at this hotel, I did experience smelling odors, but I think that was from the cleaning solution they use to clean the rooms. It went away when windows were open. I would come back. Very good location fast food restarurants across the street, aldi down the street, jewels down the street.

We got excellent service when we stayed at the Des Plaines Best Western. We arrived late at night and needed milk for our baby. "Ok placr for a night"
Looks like an attempt to repair and clean up was made here. The top comforter had a big stain like someone spilled on it. Hard to regulate the temp in the room.

"All the basics"
Room was in good shape but the public areas of hotel - halls and elevator area - looked like the housekeeping staff had given up trying to keep them up to snuff. HIgh traffic areas soiled and showing wear. Room had small fridge, micro, iron, coffee maker - a lot of goodies for the price.

Family trip to the Shedd Aquarium & Navy Pier so wanted a place "family friendly". Got that and more! Very convenient to the Metra station and the breakfast was more than we expected as well. The pool was a bonus which unfortunately we were too busy to use this time but will definitely stay here again

"Disappointing-Pay more for elsewhere, trust me"
I dont see how anyone would "recommend" this hotel. It was less than awesome. The beds were hard and not comfortable at all. There's a gap under the door and light from the hallway illuminates the room. This hotel would be worth it for around forty dollars a night, but I paid way too much.

"Clean and Convenient"
I had to be at the airport at 7am for a flight and drop my rental car off at Advantage right before. This was right by the rental car agency and about 10 min from the airport. The hotel was really clean, not the comfiest, but great for the price. I checked in at 2am with no problem.

Room and facilities were nice, small frig and microwave came in handy. Breakfast had more variety then I expected. A long walk to the train but do able, bus did not seem to run very often.

"Best Western Des Plaines exceeded expectations"
My only absolute requirement was a hotel convenient to O'Hare. This Best Western in Des Plaines was about 12 minutes from the car rental. It was located on a busy street and near a freight rail line, however, even with the window open it was quiet. My room was large, clean, with fridge and microwave. The hotel provides twice gratis taxi rides, usually […] from and one to the airport; however, I used one of mine to pick-up my car rental. Breakfast was the usual cook-your-own waffle along with fruit, juice, yoghurt, toast, boiled eggs, etc. The lounge had a large-screen TV and comfortable chairs along with a view of the indoor pool (which I did use) and a small fitness room (which looked adequate; I didn't use). There are several restaurants and food stores within a few blocks. There is ample parking. All the staff from front desk to cleaning were very courteous and helpful, though not fully aware of the options for public transportation. The value was excellent. Simple and prompt shuttle service to and from O'hare. However my biggest beef is that I called prior to booking to ask about leaving our vehicle there for a week while we traveled. Was told over the phone that it was $25 for up to 2 weeks. Asked about it at the front desk when we got there, and was told they do not do park and fly... ?? Ended up paying […] $40 to leave our vehicle there for one week (so they do do park and fly)? If you need that service, call and ask prior to booking and note who talk to on the phone. The hotel is good for the price, but the staff was not very informative in refrence to their shuttle service, which is not a shuttle service but a contracted taxi company. When I called from the airport the front desk just told me a phone number and said call the number when your ready to get picked up (they neglected to tell me that it was a cab service). […] So we walked to the hotel shuttle pick up area at the airport and called the number, but since the number was a taxi service they were confused about trying to pick us up at the shuttle service. "Excellent value for low-budget business travel"
Just finished a 3-night stay there and was especially pleased with the helpfulness of the front desk staff, the efficiency of the housekeeping staff (always made up my room exactly when I went out for meals), and the neighborhood (convenient to my appointments, near O'Hare, lots of the kind of great little family-run eateries I go for). My only criticisms: (1) […] I had trouble getting on-line in my room through their Wi-fi system and had to do it in the lobby or the front desk. (The connection remained once I returned to my room as long as I stayed logged in to my laptop; (2) The hallways had something of a tobacco odor, although this never penetrated into the room. "Can't escape the smoke"
Average hotel for the price, but the top floor was constantly smokey (cigarette) and often wafted in to the room. The indoor pool looks depressing. It could be worse--our room was clean and the faucets/sinks/toilets worked fine as well as the A/C.

This Best Western is just down the road from the Allstate Arena and half-way between downtown Chicago and Six Flags. The parking is a little odd. The lot is in back of the hotel and the driveways are narrow. Large trucks may have some trouble navigating the turns. The staff are friendly. The rooms are comfortable. The wi-fi works well. For the price […] it's a really good deal. The complimentary breakfast was good. There are other hotels with lots more to offer, but you'll pay for those. A decent swimming pool in such a small hotel was a pleasent surprise. They have a complimentary taxi service to O'Hare airport from where you can catch the City Metro train to downtown (but they tend to make a fuss about using it to go to town rather than to airport for purpose of flying). Surroundings are quite, and quite safe, although not very pretty. Locals are friendly to a tourist in the street and do their best to help in getting around. 7/11 is right accros the street. If you're not willing to argue your right to use the advertised complimentary taxi, there are practically no other pulic transport connections to town. We chose this hotel because it was in a less busy neighborhood and was centrally located around a lot of things we wanted to do. We took advantage of the complimentary breakfast and the swimming pool. We would stay here again.
