It's not a luxury hotel in Telluride but it's very clean and the location is great. The beds were extremely comfortable...more so than I was expecting really. The standard room is absolute crap - do not book it it is about on par with a very cheap motel. Hot tub and location is great. We changed to the room with full kitchen and it was like night and day. Much nicer however they will not clean your room unless you call the front desk multiple times.

We spent a Sat. night in Telluride and wanted to be close to the lift and to downtown Telluride. The room was large and had a living room, full kitchen (with very nice and clean utensils, pots, pans, mixing bowls etc...however I would recommend bringing your own sponge), it also had a small dining table. Not all rooms have refridgerators, seems like hotels.com says all rooms have them. Front desk is only open 9-5 so it's no help. Otherwise good enough for the cheaper rates, has enough parking which is big for me.

Really convenient access to the slopes. No office staff after 5. Still able to check in but not as convenient as having someone to tell you where your place is, where the auxiliary parking is, etc. Wifi was problematic. Hit or miss as to whether it worked or not.

I took my boyfriend to Telluride for a surprise birthday trip. This hotel didn't get the best reviews, so I was a little skeptical to book it, but since the price was right and all of the reviews said it was clean, I decided to go for it. The staff was very friendly […] and accommodating, the hot tub was awesome, and the rooms were comfortable and clean. The hotel is located very close to the Coonskin lift and a little farther (but still very close) is the Oak St. lift and the free gondola. We had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the "ski in, ski out" feature of the hotel! The one bad thing that happened was that the hot water heater broke the day before we were leaving, but the hotel was nice enough to refund us for an entire day. They know how to treat customers. old accomodations, great location and clean

Front desk is only open 9-5. They leave your key in a box after 5. They gave me the wrong room and didn't have a fridge or anything. Couldn't fix because front desk isn't open during useful hours. Hotel is a little crummy too. Also couldn't get on WIFI because no one is there to get the code from.

When we arrived at 9:30 pm there was not management on duty. We picked up a very old broken phone that we could not dial on for assistance and then noticed a check in box with our name, personal info and key in an envelope with other guests too. I really like this hotel. It's very convenient to the Coonskin ski lift and to the shops and restaurants in town. The hot tub is great. It's an older hotel so it's not fancy like others in town but much more affordable. The staff is very nice.

Simple, but quiet, very clean, room looking out at the creek, great location. Good value for Telluride.

We arrived at 6:20 pm, the office was closed. Althoug a sign sd to check the confirmation for instructions, no such instructions were on the 3 pages of confirmation we received. Finally got a hold of someone, accessed the lock box and got in. The hotel needs serious updating. The office was also closed when we tried to check out a little after 9 am […] the following morning. It's nothing special, but this little inn will be a convenient walk to Main street and it's got a helpful staff.

We enjoyed both a room with a kitchenette and one without. We moved to the second floor (no kitchen) because of a close encounter with a bear outside our window one early morning. The staff was most accommodating and the inn was close to everything. Our room looked out on the river and it was beautiful. One of the best parts was the beautiful golden […] lab that greeted us each time we went in or out of the inn. Lots of restaurants and shops, although most of the shops were pricey, to say the least. If you like spending money for smelly hotel rooms with dirty floors and no AC then stay here. Hotel staff was not friendly at all. It is obvious the management knows that they can charge whatever they want and not maintain the building because of their location in Telluride. I am surprised HOTELS.COM has this hotel on their list.

This was a nice place to stay right next to the creek and the gondola was only a block away. The price was fair and I would stay their again.

Floors squeaked, Snow feel off roof right next to windows in middle of night. Access is terrible from main road - you have to go through the parking lot of another motel and behind some condos to get into the office. Office did not open until 9:00am and closed at 5:00pm. Minimal parking at motel - requires pass to park in a different lot.

This hotel is just what a serious skier needs, no more, no less. A mere block from the Coonskin lift, parking right by the building, a hot tub for apres ski, and plenty of dining choices within a few blocks' walk. Ok, that's probably true of just about anyplace in Telluride. Great rates. Will definitely return.

The Telluride Mountainside Inn was great. Our check in was the only confussing part. We did not realize that the hotel office closed at 5:30 and thought that we were too late to check in. After finding our keys in an envelope in the drop box next to the front door we were all set. However, there was a lock on this box, which we did not have the key […] for but someone had left it open (thank goodness). The code was said to be on our convormation email, which it was not. Atfter we got our keys, we found our room right away. The room was very comfortable. The bed was a little hard for our liking, but it wasn't terrible. There were plenty of towels and the bathrooms were nice. Another aminity that was a nice surprise was a humidifire, this kept our room nice and moist during our stay. It is wonderful that this hotel execpts dogs, next time we will bring ours so they can join in the wonderful fun! There were plenty of other dogs staying in this hotel, although you would have only known that if you passed them in the hallways of the hotel. Our next trip to Telluride, we will definatly be staying in this hotel again. Thanks for a great relaxing stay at the Mouaintinside Inn. The only thing I will change about future visits, I will not be asking for a riverside view room, as instead of looking at the river, we were stairing into the ritzy condo next to us. t 5:30. Make sure you check in before 5pm. might not get your room. They scanned my card for incidentals, as sometimes happens, but when we checked out they charged my card. I didn't notice until after 7pm because we were traveling. Then when I called and asked why I paid for the room twice, instead of taking the charge off, they charged me again. Needles […] to say, it was fairly inconvenient to fix it and caused more stress for me. Don't think I'll stay there again. I'll probably pay more next time and stay somewhere else. I guess this hotel is what you could expect from the lowest-cost option in an expensive mountain town — if your expectations were low. No hot water first two days. Were told to put it on 10 min. 10 min turned to 20, to 30, to 40 min. No hot water came on 3rd day with no shower. Woman at the desk said it was an "old building" but still unacceptable. […] We got keys to another room, in another building, but ONLY to shower, not to stay. We wanted to get a refund but were only there a few days for an emergency visit to see family so I didn't have energy to contest the situation. This is one of the most affordable places to stay in Telluride. I like it because it's close to a lift. It has everything one needs. It's not too fancy but I come here to ski or be outdoors not hang out in my room. The kitchenette was small but had the basics for cooking and eating which was great. The hot tub is large and nice. Hotel is a little older than most, and is certainly no frills lodging, though based upon the reviews I read on this site, I was expecting much worse. The staff was friendly and the hotel was clean. It was in the perfect location- an easy walk to the free gondola to Mountain Village and convenient to several of the ski lifts. The room itself wasn't great, with a faintly damp smell, but it's a three minute walk to the Coonskin Lift and you can ski right down to the front door. Perfect for a guys' trip, and a good price for expensive Telluride.

Check-in went very well and they were very accomadating about my arriving early. The room was spartan but adequate. The only real problem I encountered was there was no hot water when I got up at 5am to shower and leave. I called the emergency number and was told that it would be at least an hour before someone could look into the problem. I could not […] stay that long plus you figure that even when they fixed the problem I would still have to wait for the water to heat up again. You get what you pay for, and this was pretty cheap lodging for slope side in Telluride in the middle of ski season. Pretty basic room and facility. No hot water the second day.

Great price, convient location, hot tub, comfortable and quiet rooms... Give it a try, 2nd time I've stayed here and enjoy it every time .

The room was small, had no phone or clock. There was only 1 chair, so my husband sat on the bed. There was no table, so eating breakfast was difficult. The double doors going to the tiny deck (which had a large bench on it that faced the interior of the room) were absolutely impossible to open and shut. The locks were so complicated that they had to […] put instructions on the wall so that they could be figured out. Such a pain, so we did not use the deck. The room was very close to the gondola, which was great. Bed was supposed to be a king, but it was two twins pushed together, so the middle of the bed was very uncomfortable. hotel offers clean basic amenities. location is excellent. i would recommend if you don't care about luxuries.
