Super 8 - Athens - Athens

I had to go to Athens for work and stayed here one night. It is a great little place to stay. The staff is extremely nice and the breakfast was decent. I wish we would have stayed here the second night as well because we stayed at a hotel just down the road from this one and it was terrible. The Motel 6 is one to stay away from.

I needed help finding a Wal-Mart location to replace a headlamp on my car. I was given very accurate instructions, which got me there. it is not often that people give me instructions that are explicit and accurate. Otherwise, room was clean, well-furnished, quiet, comfortable. The room was great! Employees were very nice! We were just passing thru! NO COMPLAINTS!!

No advisement on the internet or by the hotel when reservations were made that motel was under construction....carpet needed cleaning badly...Continental Breakfast was very good, I must say. Comfort of the beds were sadly lacking...clutter outside our room and air conditioner was not sufficiently cool. Would not stay there again nor recommend that anyone […] else stay there, either. their was construction going on in the front of the hotel from another hotel and was difficute to get to cause of traffic. the beds were stiff and hard and one keep poping when you moved or sat on it. i maked reservations thru hotels.com was excellent service there. I was to show my I.D when checking in cause i maked reservations before hand. when i […] got there i told her my name she gave me the key and didnt look at my id. checkin was 2pm we got there around 115pm and room was not ready they had to clean it before we could go to our room. We stayed just one night when driving from Macon, GA to Grosse Pointe, MI. It was clean and comfortable. Great breakfast with "make your own waffles'!

Our visit to the Super 8 motel in Athens, TN was an excellent experience. The only recommendation that I would make is that the breakfast that is provided would contain better food selections as donuts, bagels and waffles are very fattening for all of us including the children. Perhaps there would be a way that scrambled eggs could be made and provided […] and do away with the donuts or waffles. I picked this hotel because it offered all that I needed for my trip without an additional fee. I needed the internet, refrigerator and a microwave. Since we did not need for the staff to make up the beds it would have been nice to have had new towels and washcloths offered instead of our looking for the service staff but all in all that was just a very small issue. We needed extra pillows and the staff graciously provided those when requested. The heat needs to be looked into because we couldn't get the temperature to maintain at 67 degrees and we were very 'hot' at night when we slept. All together our visit there was excellent and I will recommend that others visit there and we will also come back on our next visit possibly. It would have been nicer had we had a Super 9 in Etowah to book our reservation because we had to drive 18 miles one way to get to our relatives. Perhaps that could be considered. Since this hotel is very reasonably priced there would be no competition in Etowah as all of their hotels are expensive. Przeczytaj więcej

Convenient, Efficient, Clean, Friendly, Reasonable Rates! Can't ask for anything more. We stayed at three different Super 8 motels within a week. This was the best of them all. Even has waffles at breakfast.

Older hotel--adequate but far from nice--travelling lat and needed to land somewhere--nothing fancy folks

Room was clean and upkeep was good.Bathroom whirlpool tub was out of order the whole stay but everything else was fine.

It looked fine when we first arrived but when we entered the room, there was an odd smell. We went to wal-mart and bought air freshner, thinking maybe the people before us had smoked in a non-smoking room. After we stayed awhile we realized where at least part of the odor was coming from. It's okay for the money. The bathroom needed some repair, there were cracked tiles and the tub & shhower fixtures were actually coming out of tub and wall by several inches.

I was pleasantly suprised, the room and the bathroom were really clean and neat. Everything was perfect for the one night I had to stay in Athens. I would stay there again.

Was a great price for a clean room. My only complaint would be the wifi wasn't working. We had 2 laptops which stated we were connected to the super8 connection, however, the super8 connection was not connected to the internet. Called the front desk who promptly apologized and stated would call back. The wifi was never fixed and we never received a […] callback. Notified the front desk when checking out and the lady apologized and stated she would look into it as she was not aware the wifi wasn't working. Also, had to go buy an iron but no iron listed so I guess that was really my fault. Other than that the room was great. Our daughter will be attending TWC for the next 4 yrs so this will probably be our hotel of choice due to price and convenience. Przeczytaj więcej
