Everyone were very kind~

- there are no pads provided on the beach and pool side chairs. For the high non-optional resort fee this would be expected especially when all other chairs on the beach has pads - coffee in the room is not very good - no mini bar or refrigerator. Even though we had a suite with a sink and kitchette this was not included. They had 3 available in the […] hotel that can be rented when available for $25 per day; many cheaper hotels provide this - when we left 'a do not distub' sign on our door till 10 am. our room was not cleaned and this was sited as the reason. Well the hotel look fancy and all...but its not it look like there the only taking taking on side of the hotel...they charge me for resort fee that I didn't even know about...I had a suite it looked old and duty...I had a frog ...yes a frog in my bathroom...my bathroom keep getting clog...also they tryed to charge me some valet parking that I didn't […] even use...Wasn't a good experience.... Dirty, boring, ugly.

The hotel was perfect the perfect SoBe location! We were in the middle of everthing, and a short walk from other sights we wated to see. The staff was friendly and efficient, and very helpful. The carpet in my room had some stains on it, and there was no mini fridge in the room, hoever, that is my only gripe. Vicky, the concierge was absolutely fantastic!!! […] She checked me into my returing flight, printed my boarding pass, and called a service to take me to Ft. Lauderdale airport!!! This was the third time we stayed here We stayed there on Labor Day weekend and were very please. The staffs were very friendly. The room should needs a littl upgrade but wasn't bad for the price. Very convenience location. Walking distance to every where. We'll stay here again if we come back to Sobe.

i was very dissatisfied. this hotel should not be rated a 3.5 star hotel.the hotel room felt damp and clamy.the television was from the 90's. missing knobs on all the furniture.scotchtape on back of the remote control. hallway floors were very stained and dirty.the lobby sofas were so worn out . they shouldn't use light furniture.the location was great. […] the price was great, but i guess you get what you pay for.cheap gets you a cheap hotel. the cabin on the cruise ship was a palace compared to the royal palms. sorry for negative review but i was very dissappointed. family of 4 from philly. Great hotel no problems here. The only thing is the hotel looks like it needed maintenace. The resort fee buys you a space on the beach with free chairs and unbrella.

there are better hotels right near this one!.. for the price i paid i was not happy.. $30 more a night and I could have stayed at the Ritz Carlton! This hotel is not clean or nice enough for its price and the gym is a joke!!!

Great location in SouthBeach...Ocean & city view...cozy accommidations...a relief from the same old travel experiance....a delight & would highly recommed for an exciting time in Miami!

The hotel is in a great location, rooms are clean and comfortable. But the staff - both at valet parking and at the reception - are very rude. Looks like they get so many customers than they don't care about customer service

The Royal Palm is an excellent place to stay. The rooms were very clean, they were a little small, but if you're on vacation you won't spend much time in your room anyways. There is a resort fee they won't tell you about. Don't rent a car, you'll have to pay too much to park and possibly park too far from your vehicle. Overall this resort gets an A […] -. Great spot , locations couldnt be better if you like SOBE.. The "resort fee" includes chair and umbrella right on the waters edge..Beautiful pool next to bar downstairs , fun and exciting spot. Dont miss the upstairs pool , small quiet area for book reading. Restaurant upstairs is great too and prices are reasonable. Beds are super comfortable, Bathrooms […] & shower are nice.. No working space which i missed, had to put laptop on bed and lean over from sofa. But who wants to work much there anyhow!! Valet fee is high, dont know what the other optiosn are , sorry.. Go Enjoy the Royal Palm, if you want to blow you your money there others places to do it. lincoln road is a 5 minute walk tops! t This is my 3rd time staying there The hotel staff was wonderful codos to the Britto restaurant team Anna, Wendy and Pedro who made us feel like family. the beach guys,Jean, Oscar and Tony who made us feel like royalty. We actually got an upgrade to beachfront room with full ocean view - just wonderful- Thanks to the manager Will stay there again

After reading various reviews, I finally decided that we will go to the Royal Palm South Beach and we loved it. First of all after arriving at the reception, we were given a very nice room with a view on the beach, the room was clean and nice, and the only thing we did not like was the bathroom which was huge but with nothing to put you things on and […] the bathtub was very slippery. The breakfast was very nice with a beautiful view on the roof swimming pool and the palm trees, all the waitresses and waiters were helpful and very nice. This hotel is one of the only hotels which has a real beach and beach service, with umbrellas, chairs, towels, most of the hotels in south Beach don’t. The Royal Palm is located in the heart of South Beach on Collins and 16th Streets. The pool area backs right up to the beach. It is minutes away from Ocean Drive and Lincoln Street. However, the condition of the hotel and rooms is lacking. The furniture, rugs, and beds need to be updated and cleaned. The room had a musty odor to it upon entering. I have stayed at this hotel about 6 times in the last 14 months. The quality of the rooms varies a great deal depending if you get a refurbished room or not. This time I did and even got upgraded to a suit. Really spacious with a separate living room area. If you get an old room they can be a bit 'tired' and scruffy so it is worth asking for a refurbed […] room when you check in. The location of this hotel is perfect. Right on the beach and minutes from Lincoln Road, within walking distance of everything you need. One thing I noticed was they have removed all the lovely big day beds from around the pool and the only one that was there is now charged for! When they already charge you a $20 per night 'resort fee' for towels and sunbeds I thought this was a bit cheeky. My original room was disgusting. It smelled like mildew, air-condition wasn't working & the beds were pass uncomfortable!! Once we returned to the room & spoke with someone at the front desk...our room was changed! The rooms where like day & night.

The cleanliness is not referring to the maids who do a great job but you can't do anything with old stained carpet. The hotel service needs to be worked on (the front desk are not even aware of events going on at the hotel). The clientelle is very rough on weekends and sometimes you feel a bit scared.

the location , pool, and cool boutique hotel vibe, when compared to the price was excellent, but did very badly need some room renovations.Tthe lobby and breakfast places were very pleasant, I would recomend it only to my friends who aren't clean fussy!

Bridgett the manger for house keeping is the best she will go out of her busy schedule to help.

Rooms in the main building are run down, old with dirty carpets. In addition, the hotel is understaffed in regards to staff that clean your room (they did not clean our room unless we hassled them, and even then...). If you are OK with this then the remainder of the hotel is really great.

In essence, one stays at the Royal Palm not because of the quality of service given by hotel employees nor because of the food and drinks offered in its restaurant--one books a stay at the Royal Palm for the SOLE SAKE of LOCATION. If location is key to your vacation and you completely disregard customer service and clean comfy accomodations and surroundings […] (ie hotel), then this hotel is for you. I read quite a few of the reviews on Royal Palm and was almost put off but decided to book as the location and price was perfect... To be completely honest, I can't imagine what else the people who wrote bad reviews expected, the place is PERFECT!!! So what if the hotel pool some of the rooms look over that's next door looks a little nicer, it's way […] more expensive a night in there. Royal Palm, friendly staff, great pool, great beach service and perfect location.... Excellent value for money!!! I have stayed before on lads holidays at the Chelsea and Catalina... I WILL most definately be returning to the Royal Palm!!!!! You may be reading this thinking it sounds almost too good if you don't take my advice and read some of the reviews from people who don't recomend so I'll try and think of something that I didn't like... Um... Er.... Oh, the dude who sorted our online check in for flights home could only type with one finger and one night the barman put too much ice in my girlfriends cocktail!!!! The lobby looked fine when we got there. From then on it was downhill. Walking along the corridoor to get to my room I noticed at least a 2 dozen nails and screws on the carpet. In our room we tried to call the front desk but the phone didn't work. The room was an end room with a very weird configuration. For instance the TV didn't face any chairs so […] the only way to watch it was sitting on the side of the bed. The wet bar sink leaked like crazy. The sink plug didn't work so I had to shave by leaving the water running non stop. The shower head wasn't attached to the wall. The blinds were in desperate need of repair. The next day they decided to replace the carpet in the room next door starting at 6am. Trying to sleep was like trying to sleep on a construction site. They pile the furniture up so that we had to move it to even get out of our room or get to the ice machine. They simply put it back in front of the ice machine so my mother who was staying on the same floor also had to move furniture to access the ice machine. I had called to make sure they had an elliptical machine before we booked becasue my wife was rehabing from a broken leg. I guess I should have asked if they had a wroking elliptical machine. Never saw any maintenance done at the gym in 4 days. It is outside and hardly anyone used it. Went to the fron desk to complain and was told the only one who could do anything was the GM. He was unavailable our entire trip. At 12.30 at night they came to my mother's room woke her up and said they had left the master key in their room and had to get it immediately. I could go on but the bottom line is it was a terrible hotel and the staff didn't seem to care. On checking out (a day early) I picked up some of the screws still on the carpet 4 days later in the corridoor and gave them to the front desk. They just threw them away without comment. Lousy check in. Second rate room. Broken furniture. Pool had to be 100 degrees. Way to many other hotels with competative rates in the area. Wouldnt stay again.

wine cooler/fridge in room never worked. pull out couch was torn on the foot end so the kids had to prop it up with coffee table, one tub slowwwww to drain, dust bunnies stuck to the ceiling as A/C blew on them....hotel full spring break.....

was there for less than 24 hours .. staff where really nice. hotel room was fine for that amount of time..

When i pulled up and walked in to the royal palms hotel in south beach i was impressed. very good location nice and clean beach, but very bad hotel service, forgot to clean the room one da. Over priced, expect to pay addition amount per night resort fee not part of the room rate,they said it covers wireless internet, the morning paper, the beach service. I found it over price and will consider another place in my future visits.

I've stayed here a number of times since the hotel opened a few years ago. Very pleasant decor, lovely pools (and 2nd fl pool/restaurant is perfect for breakfast), The staff are professional and mostly friendly, the bar/lounge on the first floor is a really pleasant and relaxed spot for a cocktail. The one serious drawback is rooms that have doors […] to adjacent rooms so they can be combined. I've been in such rooms the last two times with young rambunctious neighbors. The fact is you can hear a pin drop through the internal doors, never mind whopping it up at 3 am. If you get a room with such a door do your best to get moved - I certainly will in the future. The name of the Hotel is a seller but the rooms and the hotel itself is highly overrated. Old carpets, paint missing, old inventory ect. But overall the standard for South Beach Hotels is not impressiv at all. I can not recomend this hotel to ather travelers.

Great location and beautiful hotel. Surprised at the charge for valet parking. The room was spacious but the carpet badly in need of replacing. Very convenient to everything....art deco, restaurants, etc. Room was not as clean as I expected. Because of its location, I would stay there again.

Well located for tourists. Paper thin walls. When some one leaves another room and closes the door the whole floor shakes... Loudly. I put a vitimin on the floor and it was never vacumed up. Dirty carpets. Over priced for this understaffed hotel.

I expected this hotel to be at least in the same category as a Holiday Inn Express, but it really missed the mark. The condition of the lobby and pool area is deceivingly nicer than the quality and cleanliness of the room. Upon entering our room, I found an empty water bottle sticking out from under the bed and a crumples up receipt on the TV stand. […] I threw away both items and did not report them to the staff... until the second night, when I moved my suitcase to discover someone's toenail clippings beside my bed. I alerted the front desk and we switched rooms. The second room was markedly cleaner, however, the balcony had trash on it. The carpet in every carpeted area was disgusting and visibly not clean. While the hotel had a great location convenient to the beach and the hotel staff was pleasant, the quality of the hotel was equivalent to a low rate motel and way overpriced for the level of accomodations I received. I stayed in a regular room with 2 double beds. The size of the room was average. The floor was stained and filthy. The chair in the room […] was stained and worn. There were even stains on the bed linens. The furniture was worn and outdated as were the bathroom fixtures. Only one lamp in the room worked. In my opinion, if this hotel wishes to command the rate they are asking, they need to completely redo the hotel and update everything.
