Basic place to stay overnight. Breakfast? Not really. Wifi + parking ok. When we first arrived there the front desk was empty and there was a note saying that a person will be right back. Waited for almost 10min, no one showed up, went to get something to eat.

Everything was fine although it wasn't necessary to have the recliner in the room, room too small for that. Only problem was not getting my wake up call when requested. Obviosly they forgot about the change of time for daylight savings time. I could have used the alarm clock in the room but didn't. Good thing I wasn't catching a flight. probably would […] have used the alarm clock as a back up if I'd had to catch a plane. Good location, this was my 2nd stay at this super 8 and would stay again. We booked a king size room but were initially put into a single room. We couldn't believe when we saw the size of the bed...barely wider than a twin. Luckily there were other king rooms available and we were moved very quickly. The room was clean. The hallway smells very strongly of cigarette smoke. I asked for a quiet room...I got it. I expect a clean room....I got it. I hoped fro a nice bed......I got it. I'll be back....

Good location off of Interstate 87 and Route 7 in Latham, NY, near Albany and Troy, NY. Clean basic hotel room, friendly staff, good service. Free coffee and basic continental breakfast. Good value for the money paid for the room.

Just what i expected. Basic needs met, clean, few luxuries. Does need some remodeling (holes in carpets, stains on lamps, etc.). But for the price it was fine. Would stay there again.

Front desk was very friendly and had a good sense of humor! The stay was exactly what I would expect from a budget hotel.. clean and simple. Not much in the surrounding area, but driving distance to the nearby towns and cities. The only con was that the hallway smelled like smoke.

The staff was very friendly, I liked how they called to the room to see that it met my expectations. The rate for the stay is inexpensive for a clean and friendly environment. No complaints.

this a good hotel for the business traveler, free wifi and the regular coffee maker in the room. It met my needs, it was clean and I was happy with the experience all the way around.

I stayed there for 5 saturdays in a row while taking classes in the area. This is a very basic hotel, very close to restaurants and shopping. Cleanliness was not an issue and the price was great. I've spent more and got a lot less in other hotels in this area.

I was greeted and given information to get to my room to my room when I checked in. The room was clean and prepared for our entry except for a small amount of dust in the bathroom exhaust and a malfunctioning remote that was quickly replaced. The room was a tad cool when we entered but the heater warmed the room quickly though being loud. At night the […] bedding was warm and comfortable enough to shut off the heater overnight. The morning breakfast was presented in good state with plenty of options for a complementary breakfast. Overall the hotel was a great experience and would stay there again as the need arises. i stay at this hotel often because it is reasonably priced..my experience on this visit was enhanced by observing how spotlessly white the bed linens were, even though they had an off-scent i did not expect from their appearance..also there was a nice thick blanket which was not evident on my previous visit and about which i complained at that time..my […] room was clean throughout, including the bathroom which can often be a troublesome area in other hotels..though my request for the north side of the building was once again ignored, the location was quiet and the desk staffer was particularly friendly and accomodating at check-in and again at check-out. i will continue to choose this hotel because it is an excellent value and it is comfortable and quiet.. I checked in with my partner and the person at the front desk asked me TWICE if I wanted two beds instead of one. We could not have been the first gay couple to share a bed in this hotel. The room was what you would expect from a budget hotel. The hallway had a strong odor of cigarette smoke, but the room did not. i have stayed at this hotel before and it is an excellent bang for the buck..rooms are well cleaned and beds are comfortable but if you toss and turn a lot you will wind up with the bottom sheet wrapped around you as it is not fitted...also some people will be put off by having to use the bedspread as a blanket..i'm sure the bedspread is not changed […] for every guest...most importantly, the main entrance to the hotel can only be accessed from the east..use the back entrance, although this road is not 2 way beyond the back entrance..the whole area is confusing to someone who has never been there..you can see where you want to go but can't get there without driving in circles like a pretzel..i will return as i know the area and find the location surprisingly quiet despite a lot of traffic..one should call ahead to make sure you get what you ask for..online i indicated i would like to be on the north side of the building and was placed on the south next to the heaviest traffic...the walls here are also very thin and you are lucky if there are no occupants on either side...i lucked out and had a good nights sleep.. Staff was very polite. Room was clean and appeared updated. Only negative comment is the the hallway leading to room smelled of smoke. Room did not have an odor. I would definitely stay here again of I am in the area.

I needed a room for a couple nights while visiting family in Schenectady. Because family members warned me away from downtown Schenectady, I looked for motels near the Latham circle and found a great selection at a range of prices. I chose the Super 8 as the most economical and conveniently located. My room appeared to be new or newly renovated; it […] was in excellent condition, spotlessly clean, and quiet. It was a bit small, but fine for one person -- all I needed was a place to sleep. The registration desk service was efficient and professional. Breakfast was basic but perfectly adequate. There is also a Friendly's right next door, and the area feels safe. The motel was easy to find and access, and a service road behind the motel provides easy access to Route 7, so there is no need to make a U-turn to get back to I-87. A downside for some people might be the lack of an elevator to reach the second and third floors, but this was not a problem for me. Great hotel for the price you pay. Clean, well maintained, and easy to access. Close to restaurants and the highway.

Although my particular room was clean, I noticed quite a bit of dirt on the stairs up the back entrance. I was thinking to myself how clean the front entrance was, but the back was neglected. In fact, there was a sign on the front door saying something to the effect that they make patrons use their security key to get into the stairwell to even get […] up to their rooms for safety and security purposes. I took a gamble having never stayed at a super 8 before. The room was slightly dated but it was very clean. It even had a microwave and a refrigerator. There is a Ruby Tuesday's, Caraba's, and Friendly's within walking distance. I needed a cheap, clean room for the night and I could not have asked for anything more.

I wish the hotel would be listed with the amenities (refrigerator + Microwave) in room. Asking when checking in looks cheap. Noise from room below was quite loud. In all my hotel staying, I've never heard noise from other rooms so far away. They did turn it off around 11pm so I could sleep. Breakfast was basic, which is what I expected. I stayed in this motel for a long weekend while there for business. The hallway and rooms smelled of wet basement. I accidentally dropped a piece of jewelry by the bed, and lifted up bed skirt to see where it landed only to find popcorn and crumbs. While running water in bathroom sink, an awful rotten egg odor came from the pipes (this odor did not […] occur while taking shower though). Cheap..yes... BUT... watch out for the attempts to charge extra fees. First off it smelled, had I not driven six hours, it was 11pm and I had just developed the flu, I would have walked out. I had no choice...I had to stay. On check in I asked what time check out was. I was told it was 11am. I told the desk clerk I wasn't feeling well and I had a afternoon […] meeting the next day so I may be a little late in check out. I was abruptly told that they charged $10 and hour four late check outs. After 20 + years of business travel I am well aware hotels charge for true late check out, but I had no idea what this hotel was going to do.....At 11:12 am ( I looked at the clock) there was pounding on my door. The man out side the door was yelling I needed to get out of my room. About one minute later the phone rang and a very nasty voice told me I was late for check out (now 14 minutes after 11am) and that they were charging me an extra $10 . REALLY!!...REALLY!!! for 14 minutes??? ........needless to say I will NEVER stay there again... and truthfully if you are considering it ..DON"T.. there are at least 5 hotels near by in the same price range that are newer, cleaner, and I'm sure not looking to treat you with this kind of disrespect... just notice when you walk into a smoking room it was over powerful with the smell of smoke just need to air out room more.but other wise was anice stay.

Room was clean, front desk helpful. For the price I paid I expected some old carpet and that old smoke and whatever smell. It was there. Walls were thin, and it is next to a fairly major road, but at night it was quiet. Someone knocking on a door down the hall sounds like someone knocking on yours. So, a little smelly and noisy, but clean and comfortable. The free wifi came right on with no secret codes etc, but during the hours of 7-11 pm it was so slow as to be unusable. Outside those hours it was fine. Close to lots of chain restaurants and other stores. Personally, I would not bring my family, but for a couple nights of business, I got exactly what I paid for. This Super 8 is conveniently located north of Albany near the intersection of Route 87 and Route 7. The hotel was economy priced, as was reflected in the accommodations. The room was furnished with a desk, TV stand with drawers, and two double beds separated by a night stand. The free wireless internet provided a strong signal and was easy to use. this was a good value for today's economy...it was a little further from where we wanted to be, but everything else, that was closer was too much money when you are there only to sleep. we would stay there again...

Nice little place 10 minutes from Albany Airport, plenty of places to eat. Room was very nice and clean and comfortable. Front desk clerk left something to be desired...not very friendly and quite abrupt. Overall, nice place and would stay again.

we were in town overnight and just needed a place to lay our heads. The Super 8 was just right. Great price, nice room, friendly staff. Everything we wanted.

Old building but it could still be cleaner. Three stories and no elevator. Staff extremely unfriendly and rude.

The room was clean and may have been freshly painted. Bed was comfortable. My only concern was the lock to the rear door of the motel was broken and needs immediate repair for security purposes.

Room was small and furnished haphazardly. Right next to highway. Breakfast was minimal. Staff pleasant. Hall way smelled of smoke.

I didn't expect a lot, its a Super 8, but from the moment I walked through the door, cigarette smoke/oder slapped me in the face. Our non smoker room wasnt bad, thankfully. But the halls were so intense, I found myself holding my breath for 3 flights of stairs.

my previous initial stay here could not be beat..clean room and especially the lavatory..this second stay was not quite as enjoyable..both the sink and toilet had a residue of dirt and hair, probably from being cleaned with a cloth that had not been rinsed out completely...the sink also was not stable and seemed to move back and forth as if it were […] not firmly held in place. .the beds were comfortable as before but the heat was hard to operate and i could not keep the room at a comfortable temperature..as before the room was quiet..this place seems to maintain a well-behaved clientele, except i had to call the front desk early in the morning to investigate the smell of smoke in the non smoking section in which i stayed...i will stay here again because it is a good, convenient location and the problems encountered are common to hotels unless you go very high end. What I wanted was a hotel room where I could feel comfortable and accommodated at a very affordable cost. That's what I got. The service was good, and the room was clean, with ample amenities, including free wifi.

Price was amazing and our room was quiet and spotless as was the bathroom. We picked this hotel because we were scheduled to leave on bus tour at 7 AM at a nearby location and an ice storm was predicted(accurately!), With such a reasonable price, we didn't have high expectations but we were very impressed with the comfort and cleanliness of our room. […] We would not hesitate to stay at a Super 8 Hotel in the future.
