I stayed only one night at Hotel Allegra, awaiting my flight back to the US. The hotel is very clean and the service is very good. Upon arriving in my first room, I noticed that there were hairs on the bed, as if someone had recently had a haircut and a few of the droppings had been left behind. I called down and they promptly changed my room, which […] was very clean and accommodating. I had dinner in the hotel's restaurant which was decent, but perhaps overpriced for the quality, but having not ventured out of the hotel, I can't compare it to other restaurants around. Provided exactly what we needed - great value - close to the airport - very friendly staff - clean confortable hotel

We were 3 adults in a room and stayed for one night. The room was huge, fresh and clean. We were more than happy to get that room. Downside: no breakfast but the SFR10.-- 'express' breakfast of croissant/bread, müsli, coffee/juice, was more than enough for us. The hotel is really for those who would stay one or two nights before flying or moving on […] to the next destination. This can easily be noted by the 'impersonal' attitude at the reception. For us it was the ideal solution since there shuttle bus to the airport is included in the price. Over-all it was an 'ok' hotel. Only bad thing was that there where no electric plugs where you could charge computers ans telephones.

Stayed Feb 4, 2012. Shuttle from and to airport very helpful. Front desk helpful and friendly. I appreciated that the lady could speak english. The bottle of water in the room was a lovely touch as I was very thirsty. Room was quiet. Lots of hot water. I would stay at this hotel again.

Clean hotel with simple but good rooms. Good price for Swiss standards and good bus service to Airport, albeit at early and late times the service is a bit infrequent

Had a family holiday for 3 nights in Zurich and stayed in the hotel for 3 nights. Modern hotel; next to Kolten rail station that connects to Zurich city centre in 15 minutes. Train runs every 30 minutes. Rail station has a convenience store, and there is also a small supermarket nearby. Otherwise pretty far from other city facilities. If you are willing […] to walk there is a larger supermarket and a real good stone grill steakhouse about 15-20 minutes from the hotel. Best value is free hotel-airport shuttle, runs every half an hour and takes only 10 minutes to arrive. Everything was fine in this hotel except WiFi support. Signal is very weak in the room and unstable elsewhere in the hotel. The system actually broke down the second day of our stay and did not recover within 24 hours - bad back-up support as the two Internet kiosks in the hotel also relied on wireless connection. There was no contingency plan and only after repeated requests did the hotel felt it necessary to hook up a wired notebook computer in the conference room for guests' convenience. Also, the doors of one of the lifts refused to close and only closed after trying 2 minutes. Situation remained the same in the morning and evening - told the staff and they said they already knew. Clean, comfortable, and close to Zurich Airport.

- Very clean and comfortable rooms - Excellent location - very close to railway station (Kloten) and very close to Zurich airport/ For those who need to access airport at odd hours, there is a free shuttle provided by this hotel. Very convenient.

Stayed at Allegra for one night during a business trip and left 100% satisfied. For it's price segment and target audience, Allegra is a great hotel with a very nice service. Quick check-in and check-out, tasty breakfast, short ride on a shuttle to the airport free of charge. Hotel Allegra Zurich Airport is a comfortable "airport" hotel. It has a pleasant and efficient demeanour. The rooms themselves are modular and comfortable - and certainly have an "IKEA" feel about them. The complementary internet access was a big plus for me. The hotel charges you for WiFi itself. The great advantage of this hotel is that it is in bus/walking distance of the other airport hotels. I was attending a conference close by so this was very convenient. The staff at the front desk were cordial and helpful. The hotel also has a restaurant and cafe. I only had coffee at that latter in their little courtyard area. The staff here were particularly friendly despite my lack of Swiss-German language skills ;) One more thing: the hotel itself sits pretty much on the railway line. I didn't hear a thing. Needed somewhere to stay overnight between flights and the Hotel Allegra was perfect. Free, convenient and efficient shuttle bus which runs to a timetable for 10min ride between the airport and hotel. Large, clean, modern room room and very nice meal from room service. Would recommend and will stay again.

My stay at the Allegra Hotel was very convenient for the office I was visiting. However I would recommend the restaurant at a nearby hotel (Fly Away) for dinner over the one at the Allegra.

This hotel is excellently situated close to the airport, with a free shuttle running every ~30 ,minutes. It is the most expensive hotel I've been to and I expected 'something' from a four star hotel. But actually, it is extremely basic. Room with a bed, a small desk and an armchair. No fridge, no alarm-clock, no air conditioning ! (and malfunctioning […] TV remote...). A simple shower. I was extremely disappointed to see that the colored bed sheets were washed out... In 3 days, they were not changed once, although the air was hot and humid all the time. The restaurants is also extraordinarily overpriced (basic breakfast costs a fortune), but more ennoying, the personnel proved rather unfriendly at all levels (very much caring about your credit card, but not about the rest). We were leaving with the shuttle at 5AM, but the receptionist did not want to check out before 4.50... Then requested us to wait OUTSIDE of the building, for the driver who came late, although he was in the lobby all the time. The 2 other receptionists I had been in contact with obviously preferred chatting with friends on the phone to helping people waiting in line etc... The only 2 things that should change is that the Wi-Fi should be free for hotel guests. There should not be an extra charge for it and the breakfast should be included too. Hotel is right near train station so that was a plus.

Little pricey, but they offer a free shuttle to and from the Zurich airport. The room was clean and comfortable, and there was plug-in internet in the room free of charge. Front desk was efficient and pleasant.

The hotel itself was fine - the rooms were bright, large and clean. Breakfast was expensive, but what isn't in Switzerland nowadays. The service was friendly for the most part. Took 2 minutes to get to from the airport, but there was little in terms of runway noise. The gym was tiny, but running outside the hotel was agreeable. This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel because it is so near the Zurich Airport. It is very modern and nice. The bed comforters need to be replaced as they are a bit tired. The price of the hotel does not include breakfast which is disappointing. A tiny cup of coffee in the hotel rest. was 4 CHF and we thought that was a lot. Overall, the hotel is great for something near the Zurich airport. They have free airport shuttle service and it is close to the airport. We reached there late at night and the front desk clerk was not at all customer service oriented. She gave us a room, but it was very far away from the elevator and she could see all the luggage that we had with us. […] When we asked to change the room to something closer to the elevator, she changed it, but changed it to a smoking room without telling us that it was a smoking room. So then we had to carry everything back to the lobby to get the original room because she failed to tell us that it was a smoking room. Once we were settled in, we asked about nearby restaurants and then she did not have the courtesy to provide us with a map of the nearest restaurant, she just quickly rattled off to turn here then there and then find the restaurant. She also did not tell us that there were a number of other restaurants in the area that we could try late at night that may be open. The breakfast the next morning was also cold and was not very fresh and it was a whopping $20 francs/person. Aside from the clerk that has been there for 10 years and the breakfast, all was good. Hotel was perfect for our needs - close to the airport for an early morning flight. Our only complaint was a very, very rude airport shuttle driver who picked us up at the airport.

We were flying out of Zurich airport very early the next morning, so we stayed at Hotel Allegra. This is a very basic hotel, but thoughtful design details made it exceptional. This hotel was great... everything I expected for the price and description. Def a great place to stay for the budget-conscious traveler. Well maintained, nice room, comfortable bed, decent amenities (free internet access for those traveling w/ laptops, etc.), friendly staff, and rail station just a short walk away to quickly transport you to Zürich […] city area. Ask the front desk- the hotel manager was very nice and helpful, as was the rest of the staff (except for one dumpy-looking brunette there, who was a bit rude & not helpful in the least). Mini mart nearby for those who don't want to spend on room service or in-hotel meals (remember, everything costs more in die Schweiz, so do plan to spend some $$ while you're there...). Added bonus, Kloten is a nice town to walk/go for a run through if you like that sort of thing to relax after a long day in the city. Loved this hotel - would definitely stay again. The biggest benefit is that it is literally steps away from a train station that gets you to downtown Zurich. Quite convienient. The hotel shuttle is also great. There is a grocery store and italian food restaurant across the street, but the grocery store is not open on Sunday (like most in Switzerland.) They […] do not have a pool, but they will give you free vouchers for the public pool which is nearby. Also - this hotel is pretty quiet. I was there on Aug. 1, so there were lots of fireworks, and there also happened to be a lightening storm. Even while being next to a train station and airport, it was perfectly quiet. The only problem with the hotel facilities was the lack of air conditioning. It can get somewhat hot during the day and cool down significantly in the night. Hotel didn't charge us to park our rental car on their lot. I guess they only do it if you want a covered parking. They hotel looks nice on the inside and the outside. You get a welcome bottle […] of mineral water and there's a refrigerator in the room. Although, we could never get it to significantly cool down anything. It's cheaper to leave a car at the hotel and take a commuter train to Zurich from the hotel than it is to drive and park in the city. And one more thing, don't forget that bar culture in US and Switzerland/Europe is significantly different. Apparently, a bartender is not there to engage patrons in a conversation. At first, I thought we were asking or saying something inappropriate when trying to find out about 'fourth swiss language" in which the hotel is named. After bartender repeatedly told us that we "ask too many questions", the night manager came out and stated that nobody interested in talking to us. After that night I stopped going to the hotel's bar, there's a small supermarket across the street where you can get your beer without interaction anyway. Przeczytaj więcej

Three of us stayed at the Hotel Allegra before a flight out of Zurich and had a wonderful experience there. The front desk workers spoke multiple languages and had great recommendations for restaurants in the Zurich area. The place was modern and clean. We will definitely stay there again whenever we need to go to the Zurich airport later.

Good modern hotel. Most rooms face away from the railway line and are very quiet. Nice small town with a choice of restaurants. No air conditioning in room which surprised me but the windows are large and open fully. Railway to Zurich and beyond is right next door and trains run every 30 mins. Reception will sell you day tickets valid for Zurich centre […] and the area around the airport including Kloten for CHF12.40. (Same price as at the train station, but you can charge them to your room for convenience). Shuttle to the airport runs almost every half hour (check times and try to reserve a seat if you want a specific time). The hotel is located right next to a train station which makes it very accessible and convenient to travel to Zurich and back. The courtesy of the staff was variable - most were extremely helpful while some were somewhat short - but not too much to complain about. They had two computer terminals which were free whenever I needed them, and were cheap […] to use (around $2 for 1-hour and $5 for 24-hour accounts). But the computers were not that well-maintained (the mouse on one of them was not responding well), the internet connection was quite slow, and privacy was not addressed: did not have the clear option to clear all personal data or browsing history, or this was disabled - which was a concern. The rooms were not too sound-proof and on one morning I could hear a lot of noise from the neighbouring room. The hotel provided an umbrella in the room, which was very useful due to the summer thunderstorms in Zurich. They had two airport shuttle trips in an hour, which was sufficient to get to the airport in time for my flight. The hotel is right next to a train station. You can get to Zurich is 15 minutes and the train runs every 30 minutes. The hotel itself is perfect. Large room, and windows. The room does not have AC, but the let the windows open at the location seem to work the magic even thought I stay in July and the temperature were around 90s during the day.
