So much better than sdtaying at the bug ridden hotels so close to EWR. Better for a 10 minute ride with a good night sleep instead of bugbites.... Good conti breakfast also.

This hotel is a good choice for the price. The staff is friendly. From the Newark Pen Station to the hotel takes about 5 to 10 min by taxi and 25 min by walking. The taxi charges you 8 dollars. If you arrive on Newark airport you can use the train till Newark Pen Station ( 1 stop) and take a taxi. Conviently located to major highways..it you don't wanna pay the high price for nyc hotels..breakfast ok..internet access...bed were ok had better...customer service ok....good spot for.a lay over!!!!!!!!

the hotel doesn't have airport shuttle, the sheets were dust and there were hair on them, the hair dryer was dusty and moldy.

No shuttle service as advertised FROM airport. So had to taxi and it was at least 5miles in an industrial area. Then to top off a 10$ shuttle fee TO the airport so add a 30 or so to the hotel bill,no thanks to another stay.

I travel to the Newark area often and this hotel was the best quality for my dollar.

Hotel was comfy and the room was nice and spacious. Heater was a little squeaky but otherwise the stay was nice. There was an issue in the morning with the shuttle to the airport but the management was quick to fix it and covered our cost. Very friendly service and staff. Morning complimentary continental breakfast was fine.

Despite relatively easy access to Newark Int'l Airport, I wouldn't recommend staying here. The room was "ratty", with old, dirty carpet. The couch and desk chair in the room were stained and grungy from years of use, and the couch cushions themselves were flat and worn out. The sheets and comforter on the bed were old and uncomfortable, and don't look […] too closely - you'll find hair and other signs of poor housekeeping. The same goes for the bathroom, where there appeared to be little to no effort in cleaning after the previous guest. Other hotel patrons were loud, and the walls seemed thin, so I could hear conversations and obscenities throughout the evening. Great location in New Jersey. Just a short walk to Broad Street Station. Friendly staff!!! They are very helpful. Excellent breakfast, high speed internet, hot coffee available all day... I loved the hotel!!! Thank you again. :-)

The heating did not seem to work properly but I was too tired to tell them! However, when I woke in the morning, the sunshine was great outside and also I could see a river! so I was happy.

The hotel overall is nice. Our room was clean and very spacious which we were happy about. The bed was large and very comfortable. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good. There were hot items which I was happy about such as eggs, bacon and waffles. The only thing I did not like about this hotel was the surrounding neighbourhood. […] It is very industrial and dangerous looking. Our taxi driver warned us not to walk anywhere at night because of how rundown the neighbourhood is. One more thing I did not like was that there is no complimentary shuttle from Penn Station. Free wi-fi, free parking and very comfortable rooms. The breakfast is ok, good for the price. It is a 3 blocks from Burger King and a walking distance from other restaurantes. The rooms were clean but the cleaning lady was too fast cleaning the rooms, sometimes she left dirty the carpet, she should vaccum the rooms. I thought this hotel was a great value. I drove in from the Newburgh area and it was easy to get to. The room was comfortable, the continental breakfast was great, and the staff was professional. I asked for a map of the local area (NJIT and Rutgers campuses) and I got a great detailed map in which I used to walk to both campuses. It is right on Maccarter […] Hwy which is a very busy street. I stayed at this hotel last week. Because of the rate i paid online I wasn't looking for a 5 star hotel. I stayed with a friend, we were quite shocked at what the hotel offered. It was like being in Hilton! Staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. The hotel had everything, internet, very tasty breakfast, infact it offered more than it was advertised […] for . excellent location as well. chinese food and 7/11 were around the hotel. we couldn't believe it. will definitely use again when around New York. Oh it was $5.00 to get to 34th street Penn station in New York from Newark Penn Station. Good Value for money. Will recommend to anyone on very tight budget. Yu will not be disappointed! If you want to stay in Newark it is O.K. We wanted to get on the Garden State the next day and it took quite a while to get there. I would rather stay closer to the the Garden State if possible. Comfort Inn has a very good breakfast. The rooms are a bit dingy but adequate.

I loved this hotel, me and my husband went there to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. the rooms were very spacios the staff was polite. they served a complimentary breakfast as well. Me and my Husband had a great time.

I normally don't say anything bad about a hotel if it's reasonably good. However, this Comfort Suite is terrible in terms of service. I have to leave this message to let you know! After the first day of stay, we found the maid didn't make the sofa bed. The sofa bed was still messy as it was the second morning. And no new shampoo or conditioner or towels […] provided the second day. The only trace I know the maid had been in the room was that the two queen beds were made. Besides this, the most horrible thing is that the pillowcases smell!! They smelled like they were used a long time and never washed them clean! Because we reserved for 5 nights, I have no choice but using one of my shirts to cover the pillowcase! Then I thought maybe we should leave tips for the maid so she can give new supplies for shampoo, conditioner, towels, and even change the disgussting pillowcases. So I left tips starting our second day and every day of rest of our stays. However, everything still remained no change except she made the sofa bed. But what about all supplies we need? And the pillowcases still smelled!! OMG, my husband then went to the front desk personally to ask for more shampoo and conditioner. Then we finally got them! In general, we didn't have too many choices there because we were going to New York during our stays. Otherwise, we would have changed to another hotel. I had to sign a document saying that I was staying in a smoke-free room and that I won't smoke in the room. But when I went into my room, it stank with cigarette smoke. The walls had recently done patch work that was not yet covered. It just looked dingy for the price we paid. This hotel was amazingly inexpensive for the location. Not, perhaps, the nicest neighborhood but a very quick, easy drive into Manhattan. The room was very large and clean and the complimentary breakfast, featuring fresh fruit, make your own waffles, juices, tea, coffee, sausage, oatmeal, toast, bagels and pastries, was a pleasant surprise.
