"worst experience ever"
This hotel is a flop house for the homeless, drug deals were occurring in the parking lot. I unknowing sent some students to the hotel, fortunately they were savvy enough to realize that this was not a safe situation and found another hotel nearby. NEVER,NEVER stay here. I would suggest that hotels.com investigates this immediately.
This hotel was definitely not suitable for most. Upon my arrival, I witnessed someone being arrested and constant arguing and noise from the people living at hotel. The linen on the beds appeared dirty as well as there being unpleasant scents from the carpets. There were holes in the walls and my view was the overflowing dumpster. The bathroom looked […] filthy and the fixtures needed to cleaned. There were no knobs on the dressers. The area where you get ice was also filthy. I could not sleep comfortably due to the feeling of being bitten and the kids who live there running up and down the steps. I remained at the hotel as others were booked due to folks evacuating from their homes because of Hurricane Irene. I would not recommend this hotel because it needs to be cleaned from top to bottom. It started out agreeable until we unloaded our car into the hotel. There were holes in the walls, pubic hair in the beds that had no sheets on them, only 2 towels for a party of 4 that was booked in advance, and since when do hotels not furbish coffee pots anymore. I asked for more towels and washclothes and they told us they were out, to give them […] 30 mins and they would send some to our room. 4 hours later we still had 2 towels. Continental breakfast wasn't much; coffee was empty, and just a couple of choices of bagels were available. The bathroom needed work; overhead ceiling is rusted, and the calking around the tub...third rate work, some of it missing, allowing water to leak into the walls, and will eventualy cause a mold problem in the future.
