Pillows were super comfy, my bed was fine, more closets than i could fill, beautiful view from rooftop breakfast, fast internet, wonderful pass to the La Jolla Sports Club classes and workout equip. Checked in for one night, chose 2 nights as i got my key, and stayed a 3rd night to breathe that sea air and smile at the staff and their friendly helpfullness. Headed back next month. Thankyou! Lots of room w/kitchen, storage & balcony. Walk to shopping and restaurants and along the beach. Breakfast is limited and no restaurant in hotel. We only had 1 night but would enjoy several days here. Hotel is older but clean and comfortable. Would love to return!

I was there only 20 minutes, it was enough to notice the urine smell on the hallways, the ruined state and the horrible rooms. However, they were nice enough to give us back the deposit of one day.

The La jolla Cove was not what was expected. There is no airconditioning in the rooms. The rooms are small and for the high end price we paid per night. For the price we paid expected something more than a small motel room. There are NO amenities. There are all of these taxes and fees added on to the price so it was way more than expected. There were […] no towels at the pool so we had to use our room towels. The shampoo and soaps we used the day before were not replaced in the morning. We got NO phone service in our room so we had to use the hotel phone and were charged. They said free internet but.. we couldn't use our droids at all in the room. If there had been an emergency at home we wouldn't have known until we left the hotel the next day.Noisy in the afternoon. It is old. Feels out of date when you get in. There are small kitchens which was cool, but no microwave. The toaster didn't work. It was clean. and it was nice to be across the street from the ocean but, I have stayed at way better places for less of a price near the beach. It was not a good experience and we will not go back!! One of the very best and finest places I have stayed throughout the world!!!We had a great room right over the coves. We all loved it. I would higjly reccomend it and stay again asap. Thanks.

This pet-friendly hotel is a must for the entire family....and don't forget the dog! With its balonies facing the ocean, you can spend the entire day listening to the waves and watching the passer-bys, not to mention the antics of the sea lions. Located within walking distance of shops and pet-friendly eateries, this hotel is amazingly less espensive than other hotels in the area. The staff members are friendly, courteous, and very helpful. The pool and jacuzzi are located above and behind the hotel giving a very open feeling, and the Continental breakfasts are offered on the roof where you can enjoy delicious food and the amazing views of La Jolla's Cove and Shore. The advantage of the hotel was only its location near the heartbreaking view of great landscape surronded by fantastic creek and sceneric nature. Unfortuantely, it was so frustrating to my family that checking-in time was so long and the kitchenett was not so clean and we hardly closed the window to prevent some insects from getting inside.
